Ezekiel 32
1 And it cometh to pass, in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying,
En la dixième année, le dixième mois, le premier jour du mois, la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
2 'Son of man, lift up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and thou hast said unto him: A young lion of nations thou hast been like, And thou [art] as a dragon in the seas, And thou comest forth with thy flowings, And dost trouble the waters with thy feet, And thou dost foul their flowings.
Fils de l'homme, fais une lamentation sur le Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, et dis-lui: Tu étais semblable au lion des peuples et au dragon de la mer; tu frappais tes fleuves de la corne; tu troublais l'eau sous tes pieds; tu marchais sur tes fleuves.
3 Thus said the Lord Jehovah: And — I have spread out for thee My net, With an assembly of many peoples, And they have brought thee up in My net.
Or voici ce que dit le Seigneur: Je jetterai sur toi un filet formé d'une multitude de peuples, et je t'amènerai avec mon hameçon.
4 And I have left thee in the land, On the face of the field I do cast thee out, And have caused to dwell upon thee every fowl of the heavens, And have satisfied out of thee the beasts of the whole earth.
Et je t'étendrai sur le rivage, et tu couvriras les champs; et je ferai reposer sur toi tous les oiseaux du ciel, et je rassasierai de ta chair toutes les bêtes fauves de la terre.
5 And I have put thy flesh on the mountains, And filled the valleys [with] thy hugeness,
Et je donnerai ta chair aux montagnes, et je les remplirai de ton sang.
6 And watered the land with thy flowing, From thy blood — unto the mountains, And streams are filled from thee.
Et sur les montagnes la terre s'abreuvera de la multitude de tes ordures; je remplirai de toi les vallons.
7 And in quenching thee I have covered the heavens, And have made black their stars, The sun with a cloud I do cover, And the moon causeth not its light to shine.
Et je cacherai le ciel, lorsque tu t'étendras; et j'obscurcirai ses étoiles; je voilerai le soleil d'un nuage, et la lune ne fera plus briller sa lumière.
8 All luminaries of light in the heavens, I make black over thee, And I have given darkness over thy land, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah,
Tout ce qui luit au ciel sera sombre sur toi, et je répandrai les ténèbres sur la terre, dit le Seigneur Maître.
9 And I have vexed the heart of many peoples, In My bringing in thy destruction among nations, Unto lands that thou hast not known.
Et je soulèverai contre toi le cœur d'une multitude de peuples, quand j'emmènerai tes captifs chez les nations, en une terre que tu ne connaissais pas.
10 And I have made many peoples astonished at thee, And their kings are afraid at thee with trembling, In My brandishing My sword before their faces, And they have trembled every moment, Each for his life — in the day of thy fall.
Et maintes nations te lanceront des regards d'épouvante, et leurs rois seront saisis de stupeur, lorsque mon glaive volera devant leur face, et qu'ils pressentiront leur ruine en voyant le jour de ta ruine.
11 For thus said the Lord Jehovah: A sword of the king of Babylon entereth thee,
Car voici ce que dit le Seigneur Maître: Le glaive du roi de Babylone viendra sur toi,
12 By swords of the mighty I cause thy multitude to fall, The terrible of nations — all of them, And they have spoiled the excellency of Egypt, And destroyed hath been all her multitude.
Avec des épées de géants, et j'abattrai ta puissance; et des hommes de pestilence venant tous des nations seront avec lui, et ils détruiront l'orgueil de l'Égypte, et toute sa puissance sera brisée.
13 And I have destroyed all her beasts, From beside many waters, And trouble them not doth a foot of man any more, Yea, the hoofs of beasts trouble them not.
Et je ferai périr tous les troupeaux qu'elle nourrissait le long des grandes eaux; et le pied de l'homme ne la troublera plus, et les ongles des troupeaux ne la fouleront plus jamais.
14 Then do I cause their waters to sink, And their rivers as oil I cause to go, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
Alors leurs eaux redeviendront calmes, et leurs fleuves couleront comme de l'huile, dit le Seigneur.
15 In My making the land of Egypt a desolation, And desolated hath been the land of its fulness, In My smiting all the inhabitants in it, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah.
Lorsque je livrerai l'Égypte à la destruction, la terre et tout ce qu'elle renferme deviendra un désert; et je disperserai tous ceux qui l'habitent, et ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur.
16 A lamentation it [is], and they have lamented her, Daughters of the nations do lament her, For Egypt, and for all her multitude, they lament her, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'
Telle est la lamentation que tu répèteras, et les filles des nations la répèteront en se lamentant sur l'Égypte et sur sa puissance, dit le Seigneur Maître.
17 And it cometh to pass, in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying,
Et la douzième année, le premier mois, le quinzième jour du mois, la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
18 'Son of man, Wail for the multitude of Egypt, And cause it to go down, It — and the daughters of honourable nations, Unto the earth — the lower parts, With those going down to the pit.
Fils de l'homme, lamente-toi sur la puissance de l'Égypte, car les nations feront descendre ses filles mortes au fond de la terre, parmi ceux qui descendent à l'abîme.
19 Than whom hast thou been more pleasant? Go down, and be laid with the uncircumcised.
Et ils tomberont avec leur roi dans la foule frappée par le glaive, et toute sa puissance périra.
20 In the midst of the pierced of the sword they fall, [To] the sword she hath been given, They drew her out, and all her multitude.

21 Speak to him do the gods of the mighty out of the midst of sheol, With his helpers — they have gone down, They have lain with the uncircumcised, The pierced of the sword. (Sheol h7585)
Et les géants te diront: Reste au fond de l'abîme; qui est moindre que toi? Descends et dors avec les incirconcis, au milieu des morts frappés du glaive. (Sheol h7585)
22 There [is] Asshur, and all her assembly, Round about him [are] his graves, All of them [are] wounded, who are falling by sword,
Là est Assur avec tout son peuple; là sont tous ceux que le glaive a tués. Et leur sépulture est au fond de l'abîme, et le peuple d'Assur est autour de son monument; ce sont tous les morts qui sont tombés sous le glaive,
23 Whose graves are appointed in the sides of the pit, And her assembly is round about her grave, All of them wounded, falling by sword, Because they gave terror in the land of the living.
Et qui sur la terre de vie avaient inspiré de l'effroi.
24 There [is] Elam, and all her multitude, Round about [is] her grave, All of them wounded, who are falling by sword, Who have gone down uncircumcised unto the earth — the lower parts, Because they gave their terror in the land of the living, And they bear their shame with those going down to the pit.
Là est Élam, avec toute son armée autour de son monument; ce sont tous les morts qui sont tombés sous le glaive et qui sont descendus incirconcis dans l'abîme, et qui sur la terre de vie avaient inspiré de l'effroi. Et ils ont subi leur châtiment avec ceux qui sont descendus dans l'abîme,
25 In the midst of the wounded they have appointed a bed for her with all her multitude, Round about him [are] her graves, All of them uncircumcised, pierced of the sword, For their terror was given in the land of the living, And they bear their shame with those going down to the pit, In the midst of the pierced he hath been put.
Au milieu des cadavres.
26 There [is] Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude, Round about him [are] her graves, All of them uncircumcised, pierced of the sword, For they gave their terror in the land of the living,
Là ont été livrés Mosoch et Thobel, et toutes leurs forces; et tous leurs morts entourent leur monument, tous incirconcis frappés du glaive, et qui sur la terre de vie inspirèrent de l'effroi.
27 And they lie not with the mighty, Who are falling of the uncircumcised, Who have gone down to sheol with their weapons of war, And they put their swords under their heads, And their iniquities are on their bones, For the terror of the mighty [is] in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)
Et ils dorment avec les géants qui sont tombés autrefois, qui sont descendus aux enfers avec l'armure des batailles; et leurs tètes reposent sur leurs glaives; et leurs iniquités sont retombées sur leurs os, parce que durant leur vie ils avaient épouvanté tous les hommes. (Sheol h7585)
28 And thou, in the midst of the uncircumcised art broken, And dost lie with the pierced of the sword.
Et toi aussi, tu dormiras au milieu des incirconcis, avec les morts que le glaive a frappés.
29 There [is] Edom, her kings, and all her princes, Who have been given up in their might, With the pierced of the sword, They with the uncircumcised do lie, And with those going down to the pit.
Là sont les princes d'Assur, dont la force n'a pas résisté à la blessure du glaive; ils dorment avec ceux que le glaive a tués, avec ceux qui sont descendus dans l'abîme.
30 There [are] princes of the north, All of them, and every Zidonian, Who have gone down with the pierced in their terror, Of their might they are ashamed, And they lie uncircumcised with the pierced of the sword, And they bear their shame with those going down to the pit.
Là sont les princes de l'Aquilon, tous capitaines d'Assur, qui sont descendus blessés; ils dorment incirconcis avec leur force, avec l'effroi qu'ils inspiraient, parmi ceux que le glaive a tués; et ils ont reçu leur châtiment avec ceux qui sont descendus dans l'abîme.
31 Then doth Pharaoh see, And he hath been comforted for all his multitude, The pierced of the sword — Pharaoh and all his force, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
Le roi Pharaon les verra, et il sera consolé en voyant toute cette multitude, dit le Seigneur Maître.
32 For I have given his terror in the land of the living, And he hath been laid down in the midst of the uncircumcised, With the pierced of the sword — Pharaoh, and all his multitude, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!'
Car j'ai répandu la crainte de ce qu'il avait craint lui-même sur la terre de vie; et lui, Pharaon, et tout son peuple dormiront parmi les incirconcis, avec ceux qui ont péri par le glaive, dit le Seigneur Maître.
