Ezekiel 29
1 In the tenth year, in the tenth [month], in the twelfth of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying,
Katika siku ya kumi, katika mwezi wa kumi siku ya kumi na moja ya mwezi, neno la Yahwe likanijia, kusema,
2 'Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy concerning him, and concerning Egypt — all of it.
“Mwanadamu, weka uso wako juu ya Farao, mfalme wa Misri; toa unabii juu yake na juu ya Israeli yote.
3 Speak, and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt! The great dragon that is crouching in the midst of his floods, Who hath said, My flood [is] my own, And I — I have made it [for] myself.
Nena na sema, 'Bwana Yahwe asema hivi: Tazama! Ni juu yako, Farao, mfalme wa Misri. Wewe joka kubwa ambaye ujifichaye kati ya mto, husema, “Mto wangu ni wangu mwenyewe. Nimeufanya kwa ajili yangu mwenyewe.”
4 And I have put hooks in thy jaws, And I have caused the fish of thy floods to cleave to thy scales, And I have caused thee to come up from the midst of thy floods, And every fish of thy floods to thy scales doth cleave.
Kwa kuwa nitaweka kalabu katika taya zako, nasamaki za mto wako zitashikamana na magamba yako; nitakuinua juu kutoka kati ya mto wako karibu na samaki zote za mto walioshikamana na maganda yako.
5 And I have left thee in the wilderness, Thou and every fish of thy floods, On the face of the field thou dost fall, Thou art not gathered nor assembled, To the beast of the earth and to the fowl of the heavens I have given thee for food.
Nitakutupa chini kwenye jangwa, wewe pamoja na samaki wako wote kutoka kwenye mto wako. Utaanguka kwenye shamba la wazi; hutakusanya wala kuinua. Nitakupatia kama chakula kwa viumbe hai vya dunia na kwenye ndege wa angani.
6 And known have all inhabitants of Egypt That I [am] Jehovah, Because of their being a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
Kisha wote wakaao Misri watajua kwamba mimi Yahwe, kwa sababu wamekuwa mwanzi wa kutegemewa hata kwenye nyumba ya Israeli.
7 In their taking hold of thee by thy hand, — thou art crushed, And hast rent to them all the shoulder, And in their leaning on thee thou art broken, And hast caused all their thighs to stand.
Wakati watakapokushika kwa mkono wao, ulivunjika na kurarua wazi mabega yao; na watakapojifunza juu yako, ulivunjika, na kusababisha miguu yao kutokuwa imara.
8 Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am bringing in against thee a sword, And have cut off from thee man and beast.
Kwa hiyo Bwana Yahwe asema hivi: Tazama! nitaleta upanga juu yako. Nitawakatilia mbali wote mwanadamu na mnyama mbali nawe.
9 And the land of Egypt hath been for a desolation and a waste, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah. Because he said: The flood [is] mine, and I made [it].
Hivyo nchi ya Misri itakuwa ukiwa na jangwa. Ndipo watakapojua kwamba mimi ni Yahwe, kwa sababu jitu la kutisha liliseama, “Huu mto ni wangu, kwa kuwa nimeufanya mimi.”
10 Therefore, lo, I [am] against thee, and against thy floods, And have given the land of Egypt for wastes, A waste, a desolation, from Migdol to Syene, And unto the border of Cush.
Kwa hiyo, tazama! Ni juu yako na juu ya mto wako, hivyo nitaitoa nchi ya Misri juu ya ukiwa na jangwa, na utakuwa nchi yenye jangwa kutoka Migdoli hata Sewene na mipaka ya Kushi.
11 Not pass over into it doth a foot of man, Yea, the foot of beast doth not pass into it, Nor is it inhabited forty years.
Hakutakuwa na mguu wa mtu kupitia, na hakuna mguu wa wanyama pori watakao upitia. Haitakuwa makao kwa miaka arobaini.
12 And I have made the land of Egypt a desolation, In the midst of desolate lands, And its cities, in the midst of waste cities, Are a desolation forty years, And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have dispersed them through lands.
Kwa kuwa nitaifanya nchi ya Misri kuwa ukiwa kati ya nchi zilizoharibiwa, na miji yake kati ya miji isiyotumika itakuwa ukiwa kwa miaka arobaini; kisha nitaitawanya Misri miongoni mwa mataifa, nitawatapanya kati ya nchi mbali mbali.
13 But thus said the Lord Jehovah: At the end of forty years I gather the Egyptians Out of the peoples whither they have been scattered,
Kwa kuwa Bwana Yahwe asema hivi: Mwisho wa miaka arobaini nitaikusanya Misri kutoka kwa watu miongoni mwao wale waliokuwa wametawanyika.
14 And I have turned back [to] the captivity of Egypt, And I have brought them back [To] the land of Pathros, to the land of their birth, And they have been there a low kingdom.
Nitawarudisha wageni wa Misri na kuwarudisha hata mkoa wa Pathrosi, hata kwenye nchi ya asili yao. Kisha huko watakuwa ufalme wa chini.
15 Of the kingdoms it is lowest, And it lifteth not up itself any more above the nations, And I have made them few, So as not to rule among nations.
Utakuwa chini ya falme, na hautajiinua tena juu ya mataifa. Nitawapunguza hivyo hawatatawala tena juu ya mataifa.
16 And it is no more to the house of Israel for a confidence, Bringing iniquity to remembrance, By their turning after them, And they have known that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.'
Wamisri hawatakuwa sababu kwa ajili ya imani kwa ajili ya nyumba ya Israeli. Badala yake, watakuwa kumbusho la uovu ambao Israeli umeufanya walipogeukia Misri kwa ajili ya msaada. Kisha watajua kwamba mimi ni Bwana Yahwe.”'
17 And it cometh to pass, in the twenty and seventh year, in the first [month], in the first of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying:
Kisha ikawa katika mwaka wa ishirini na saba siku ya kwanza ya mwezi, lile neno la Yahwe likanijia, kusema,
18 'Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, Hath caused his force to serve a great service against Tyre, Every head [is] bald — every shoulder peeled, And reward he had none, nor his force, out of Tyre, For the service that he served against it.
“Mwanadamu, Nebukadreza mfalme wa Babeli amelinda jeshi lake kufanya kazi ngumu juu ya Tiro. Kila kichwa kilitiwa upara, na kila bega lilifanywa mali ghafi. Kisha yeye na jeshi lake hawakupokea malipo kutoka Tiro kwa kazi ngumu aliyokuwa ameimaliza dhidi yake.
19 Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah, Lo, I am giving to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon the land of Egypt, And he hath taken away its store, And hath taken its spoil, and taken its prey, And it hath been a reward to his force.
Kwa hiyo Bwana Mungu asema hivi, 'Tazama! ninawapatia Nebukadreza nchi ya Misri mfalme wa Babeli, na atachukua utajiri wake, kuziteka nyara milki zake, na kuchukua yote atakayoyakuta huko; nayo yatakuwa mshahara wa jeshi lake.
20 His wage for which he laboured I have given to him, The land of Egypt — in that they wrought for Me, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
Nimempatia nchi ya Misri kama mshahara kwa ajili ya kazi waliyonifanyia-hivi ndivyo Bwana Yahwe asemavyo.
21 In that day I cause to shoot up a horn to the house of Israel, And to thee I give an opening of the mouth in their midst, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah!'
siku hiyo nitachipusha pembe kwa ajili ya nyumba ya Israeli, na nitakufanya uzungumze kati yao, ili kwamba wajue yakwamba mimi ni Yahwe.”'
