Ezekiel 29
1 In the tenth year, in the tenth [month], in the twelfth of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying,
Na rĩrĩ, mwaka-inĩ wa ikũmi, mweri wa ikũmi, mũthenya wa ikũmi na ĩĩrĩ wa mweri wa ikũmi, kiugo kĩa Jehova nĩkĩanginyĩrĩire, ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ:
2 'Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy concerning him, and concerning Egypt — all of it.
“Mũrũ wa mũndũ, erekeria ũthiũ waku kũrĩ Firaũni mũthamaki wa Misiri, ũmũũkĩrĩre, na ũmũrathĩre ũhoro wa kũmũũkĩrĩra na wa gũũkĩrĩra bũrũri wothe wa Misiri.
3 Speak, and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt! The great dragon that is crouching in the midst of his floods, Who hath said, My flood [is] my own, And I — I have made it [for] myself.
Mwarĩrie ũmwĩre atĩrĩ, ‘Mwathani Jehova ekuuga ũũ: “‘Nĩngũgũũkĩrĩra, wee Firaũni mũthamaki wa Misiri, o wee nyamũ ĩno nene ũkomete tũrũũĩ-inĩ twaku. Uugaga atĩrĩ, “Nili nĩ rũũĩ rwakwa; nĩ niĩ ndarũthondekire nĩ ũndũ wakwa.”
4 And I have put hooks in thy jaws, And I have caused the fish of thy floods to cleave to thy scales, And I have caused thee to come up from the midst of thy floods, And every fish of thy floods to thy scales doth cleave.
No nĩngagwĩkĩra ndwano thĩa-inĩ ciaku, na ndũme thamaki cia tũrũũĩ twaku ciĩgwatĩrĩre ngũcĩ-inĩ ciaku. Nĩngakũguucia ngũrute tũrũũĩ-inĩ twaku, hamwe na thamaki ciothe iria ciĩgwatĩrĩire ngũcĩ-inĩ ciaku.
5 And I have left thee in the wilderness, Thou and every fish of thy floods, On the face of the field thou dost fall, Thou art not gathered nor assembled, To the beast of the earth and to the fowl of the heavens I have given thee for food.
Nĩngagũtiga werũ-inĩ, wee, hamwe na thamaki ciothe cia tũrũũĩ twaku. Nĩũkagũa kũu werũ-inĩ, na ndũkoererwo kana ũnganio. Ngaakũneana ũtuĩke irio cia nyamũ cia gĩthaka, na nyoni cia rĩera-inĩ.
6 And known have all inhabitants of Egypt That I [am] Jehovah, Because of their being a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
Hĩndĩ ĩyo arĩa othe matũũraga bũrũri wa Misiri nĩmakamenya atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova. “‘Wee ũkoretwo ũrĩ mũthĩgi wa kamũrangi wa gũtiira nyũmba ya Isiraeli.
7 In their taking hold of thee by thy hand, — thou art crushed, And hast rent to them all the shoulder, And in their leaning on thee thou art broken, And hast caused all their thighs to stand.
Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa maakũnyiitire na moko mao-rĩ, nĩwatũkangire, na ũgĩtarũranga ciande ciao; hĩndĩ ĩrĩa meetiiranirie nawe-rĩ, nĩwoinĩkangire, nayo mĩgongo yao ĩkĩgonyoka.
8 Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am bringing in against thee a sword, And have cut off from thee man and beast.
“‘Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Mwathani Jehova ekuuga ũũ: Nĩngakũrehithĩria rũhiũ rwa njora rũgũũkĩrĩre na rũũrage andũ aku na mahiũ mao.
9 And the land of Egypt hath been for a desolation and a waste, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah. Because he said: The flood [is] mine, and I made [it].
Misiri gũgaatuĩka bũrũri mũtiganĩrie, ũgakira ihooru. Hĩndĩ ĩyo nĩmakamenya atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova. “‘Tondũ wee woigire atĩrĩ, “Rũũĩ rwa Nili nĩ rwakwa; nĩ niĩ ndarũthondekire,”
10 Therefore, lo, I [am] against thee, and against thy floods, And have given the land of Egypt for wastes, A waste, a desolation, from Migdol to Syene, And unto the border of Cush.
nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩngũgũũkĩrĩra na njũkĩrĩre tũrũũĩ twaku, na nĩngatũma bũrũri wa Misiri wanangĩke na ũkire ihooru, kuuma Migidoli nginya Aswani, o na nginya mũhaka-inĩ wa Kushi.
11 Not pass over into it doth a foot of man, Yea, the foot of beast doth not pass into it, Nor is it inhabited forty years.
Gũtirĩ ikinya rĩa mũndũ kana rĩa nyamũ rĩgaatuĩkanĩria kuo; gũtirĩ mũndũ ũgaatũũra kuo ihinda rĩa mĩaka mĩrongo ĩna.
12 And I have made the land of Egypt a desolation, In the midst of desolate lands, And its cities, in the midst of waste cities, Are a desolation forty years, And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have dispersed them through lands.
Nĩngatũma bũrũri wa Misiri ũkire ihooru gatagatĩ-inĩ ka mabũrũri marĩa manangĩku, na matũũra maguo manene matiganĩrio mĩaka mĩrongo ĩna gatagatĩ ka matũũra manene marĩa manangĩku. Na nĩngahurunjĩra andũ a Misiri ndũrĩrĩ-inĩ, na ndĩmaharaganĩrie mabũrũri-inĩ.
13 But thus said the Lord Jehovah: At the end of forty years I gather the Egyptians Out of the peoples whither they have been scattered,
“‘No rĩrĩ, Mwathani Jehova oigĩte atĩrĩ: Mĩaka mĩrongo ĩna yathira-rĩ, nĩngacookanĩrĩria andũ a Misiri moime ndũrĩrĩ-inĩ iria maahurunjirwo.
14 And I have turned back [to] the captivity of Egypt, And I have brought them back [To] the land of Pathros, to the land of their birth, And they have been there a low kingdom.
Nao andũ arĩa maatahĩtwo a Misiri nĩngamacookia bũrũri wa Pathirosi, bũrũri ũrĩa wa maithe mao. Marĩ kũu magaatuĩka ũthamaki wĩnyiihĩtie.
15 Of the kingdoms it is lowest, And it lifteth not up itself any more above the nations, And I have made them few, So as not to rule among nations.
Ũgaakorwo wĩnyiihĩtie gũkĩra mothamaki mothe, na ndũgacooka rĩngĩ gwĩtũũgĩria igũrũ rĩa ndũrĩrĩ iria ingĩ. Nĩ niĩ ngaawagithia hinya ũũ atĩ ndũrĩ hĩndĩ ĩngĩ ũgaatha ndũrĩrĩ.
16 And it is no more to the house of Israel for a confidence, Bringing iniquity to remembrance, By their turning after them, And they have known that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.'
Bũrũri wa Misiri ndũgacooka gũtuĩka mwĩhoko wa andũ a Isiraeli, no ũgaatũĩka kĩririkania kĩa mehia mao ma gũcaria ũteithio kuo. Hĩndĩ ĩyo nĩmakamenya atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Mwathani Jehova.’”
17 And it cometh to pass, in the twenty and seventh year, in the first [month], in the first of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying:
Mwaka-inĩ wa mĩrongo ĩĩrĩ na mũgwanja, mũthenya wa mbere wa mweri wa mbere, kiugo kĩa Jehova nĩkĩanginyĩrĩire, ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ:
18 'Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, Hath caused his force to serve a great service against Tyre, Every head [is] bald — every shoulder peeled, And reward he had none, nor his force, out of Tyre, For the service that he served against it.
“Mũrũ wa mũndũ, Nebukadinezaru, mũthamaki wa Babuloni, nĩatũmire mbũtũ ciake cia ita ciũkĩrĩre Turo na ihũũra inene; o mũtwe nĩwamunyirwo njuĩrĩ, na o kĩande gĩgĩcũnũrwo. No rĩrĩ, we mwene o na ita rĩake matiarĩhirwo kĩndũ nĩ ũndũ wa mbaara ĩyo aarũithirie ya gũũkĩrĩra Turo.
19 Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah, Lo, I am giving to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon the land of Egypt, And he hath taken away its store, And hath taken its spoil, and taken its prey, And it hath been a reward to his force.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Mwathani Jehova ekuuga ũũ: Nĩngũneana bũrũri wa Misiri harĩ Nebukadinezaru mũthamaki wa Babuloni, na nĩagakuua ũtonga wakuo. Agaatunyana na atahe indo cia bũrũri ũcio, ituĩke cia kũrĩha mbũtũ ciake cia ita.
20 His wage for which he laboured I have given to him, The land of Egypt — in that they wrought for Me, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
Nĩndĩmũheete bũrũri wa Misiri ũtuĩke kĩheo gĩa kĩyo gĩake, tondũ we na mbũtũ ciake cia ita meekire ũguo nĩ ũndũ wakwa, ũguo nĩguo Mwathani Jehova ekuuga.
21 In that day I cause to shoot up a horn to the house of Israel, And to thee I give an opening of the mouth in their midst, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah!'
“Mũthenya ũcio, nĩngatũma nyũmba ya Isiraeli ĩmerie rũhĩa, na ndumũre kanua gaku thĩinĩ wao. Hĩndĩ ĩyo nĩmakamenya atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova.”
