Ezekiel 11
1 And lift me up doth a spirit, and it bringeth me in unto the east gate of the house of Jehovah, that is facing the east, and lo, at the opening of the gate twenty and five men, and I see in their midst Jaazaniah son of Azzur, and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, heads of the people.
L'Esprit me souleva et me conduisit à la porte orientale de la maison de Yahvé, qui donne sur l'orient. Et voici, vingt-cinq hommes étaient à l'entrée de la porte. Je vis parmi eux Jaazania, fils d'Azzur, et Pelatia, fils de Benaja, chefs du peuple.
2 And He saith unto me, 'Son of man, these [are] the men who are devising iniquity, and who are giving evil counsel in this city;
Il me dit: « Fils de l'homme, ce sont là des hommes qui méditent l'iniquité et qui donnent de mauvais conseils dans cette ville,
3 who are saying, It [is] not near — to build houses, it [is] the pot, and we the flesh.
qui disent: Le temps n'est pas encore venu de bâtir des maisons. C'est ici le chaudron, et nous sommes la viande ».
4 Therefore prophesy concerning them, prophesy, son of man.'
C`est pourquoi prophétise contre eux. Prophétise, fils de l'homme. »
5 And fall upon me doth the Spirit of Jehovah, and He saith unto me, 'Say: Thus said Jehovah: Rightly ye have said, O house of Israel, And the steps of your spirit I have known.
L'Esprit de Yahvé tomba sur moi, et il me dit: « Parle. Yahvé dit: « C'est ainsi que vous avez parlé, maison d'Israël, car je sais ce qui vous passe par la tête.
6 Ye multiplied your wounded in this city, And filled its out-places with the wounded.
Vous avez multiplié vos morts dans cette ville, et vous avez rempli ses rues de cadavres. »
7 Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Your wounded whom ye placed in its midst, They [are] the flesh, and it [is] the pot, And you he hath brought out from its midst.
"'C'est pourquoi le Seigneur Yahvé dit: « Tes victimes que tu as déposées au milieu, ce sont les viandes, et ceci est le chaudron; mais toi, on te fera sortir du milieu.
8 A sword ye have feared, And a sword I bring in against you, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
Tu as craint l'épée, et je ferai venir sur toi l'épée, dit le Seigneur Yahvé.
9 And I have brought you out of its midst, And given you into the hand of strangers, And I have done among you judgments.
« Je vous ferai sortir du milieu, je vous livrerai entre les mains des étrangers, et j'exercerai mes jugements au milieu de vous.
10 By the sword ye do fall, On the border of Israel I do judge you, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah.
Vous tomberez par l'épée. Je vous jugerai sur la frontière d'Israël. Alors vous saurez que je suis Yahvé.
11 It is not to you for a pot, Nor are ye in its midst for flesh, At the border of Israel I do judge you.
Ce ne sera pas votre chaudron, et vous ne serez pas la viande au milieu de celui-ci. Je vous jugerai à la frontière d'Israël.
12 And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah, For in My statutes ye have not walked, And My Judgments ye have not done, And according to the judgments of the nations Who are round about you — ye have done!'
Vous saurez que je suis Yahvé, car vous n'avez pas suivi mes lois. Vous n'avez pas exécuté mes ordonnances, mais vous avez agi selon les ordonnances des nations qui vous entourent. »'"
13 And it cometh to pass, at my prophesying, that Pelatiah son of Benaiah is dying, and I fall on my face, and cry — a loud voice — and say, 'Ah, Lord Jehovah, an end Thou art making of the remnant of Israel.'
Comme je prophétisais, Pelatia, fils de Benaja, mourut. Alors je tombai sur ma face, et je criai d'une voix forte, en disant: « Ah! Seigneur Yahvé! Vas-tu faire disparaître le reste d'Israël? »
14 And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,
La parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée, en ces termes:
15 'Son of man, thy brethren, thy brethren, men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel — all of it, [are] they to whom inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Keep far off from Jehovah;
« Fils d'homme, tes frères, les hommes de ta famille, et toute la maison d'Israël, tous, sont ceux à qui les habitants de Jérusalem ont dit: « Éloigne-toi de l'Éternel. Ce pays nous a été donné en propriété.
16 it [is] ours, the land hath been given for an inheritance; therefore say: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because I put them afar off among nations, And because I scattered them through lands, I also am to them for a little sanctuary, In lands whither they have gone in.
« C'est pourquoi tu diras: « Le Seigneur Yahvé dit: « Si je les ai éloignés parmi les nations, si je les ai dispersés parmi les pays, je leur servirai de sanctuaire pour un peu de temps dans les pays où ils sont venus »".
17 Therefore say: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: And I have assembled you from the peoples, And I have gathered you from the lands, Into which ye have been scattered, And I have given to you the ground of Israel.
C'est pourquoi tu diras: « Le Seigneur Yahvé dit: « Je vous rassemblerai du milieu des peuples, je vous réunirai des pays où vous avez été dispersés, et je vous donnerai le pays d'Israël. »
18 And they have gone in thither. And turned aside all its detestable things, And all its abominations — out of it.
"'Ils viendront là, et ils enlèveront de là toutes ses choses détestables et toutes ses abominations.
19 And I have given to them one heart, And a new spirit I do give in your midst, And I have turned the heart of stone out of their flesh, And I have given to them a heart of flesh.
Je leur donnerai un seul cœur, et je mettrai en eux un esprit nouveau. J'ôterai de leur chair le cœur de pierre et je leur donnerai un cœur de chair,
20 So that in My statutes they walk, And My judgments they keep, and have done them, And they have been to me for a people, And I am to them for God.
afin qu'ils marchent selon mes lois, qu'ils observent mes ordonnances et qu'ils les mettent en pratique. Ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu.
21 As to those whose heart is going unto the heart Of their detestable and their abominable things, Their way on their head I have put, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'
Mais quant à ceux dont le cœur marche selon le cœur de leurs choses détestables et de leurs abominations, je ferai retomber leur voie sur leur propre tête, dit le Seigneur Yahvé. »
22 And the cherubs lift up their wings, and the wheels [are] over-against them, and the honour of the God of Israel [is] over them above.
Alors les chérubins élevèrent leurs ailes, et les roues étaient à côté d'eux. La gloire du Dieu d'Israël était au-dessus d'eux, en haut.
23 And the honour of Jehovah goeth up from off the midst of the city, and standeth on the mountain, that [is] on the east of the city.
La gloire de Yahvé s'éleva du milieu de la ville et se tint sur la montagne qui est à l'est de la ville.
24 And a spirit hath lifted me up, and bringeth me in to Chaldea, unto the Removed, in a vision, by the Spirit of God, and go up from off me doth the vision that I have seen;
L'Esprit m'éleva et me conduisit en vision, par l'Esprit de Dieu, en Chaldée, vers les captifs. Et la vision que j'avais eue s'éloigna de moi.
25 and I speak unto the Removed all the matters of Jehovah that He hath shewed me.
Et je dis aux captifs tout ce que Yahvé m'avait montré.
