< Exodus 9 >
1 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'Go in unto Pharaoh, and thou hast spoken unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve me,
And he said Yahweh to Moses go to Pharaoh and you will say to him thus he says Yahweh [the] God of the Hebrews let go people my so they may serve me.
2 for, if thou art refusing to send away, and art still keeping hold upon them,
That except [are] refusing you to let [them] go and still you [are] keeping hold on them.
3 lo, the hand of Jehovah is on thy cattle which [are] in the field, on horses, on asses, on camels, on herd, and on flock — a pestilence very grievous.
There! [the] hand of Yahweh [is] about to be on livestock your which [is] in the field on the horses on the donkeys on the camels on the cattle and on the sheep a pestilence heavy very.
4 'And Jehovah hath separated between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt, and there doth not die a thing of all the sons of Israel's;
And he will separate Yahweh between [the] livestock of Israel and between [the] livestock of Egypt and not it will die of all [that belongs] to [the] people of Israel anything.
5 and Jehovah setteth an appointed time, saying, To-morrow doth Jehovah do this thing in the land.'
And he set Yahweh an appointed time saying tomorrow he will do Yahweh the thing this in the land.
6 And Jehovah doth this thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt die, and of the cattle of the sons of Israel not one hath died;
And he did Yahweh the thing this from [the] next day and it died all [the] livestock of Egypt and of [the] livestock of [the] people of Israel not it died one.
7 and Pharaoh sendeth, and lo, not even one of the cattle of Israel hath died, and the heart of Pharaoh is hard, and he hath not sent the people away.
And he sent Pharaoh and there! not it had died any of [the] livestock of Israel up to one and it was unresponsive [the] heart of Pharaoh and not he let go the people.
8 And Jehovah saith unto Moses and unto Aaron, 'Take to you the fulness of your hands [of] soot of a furnace, and Moses hath sprinkled it towards the heavens, before the eyes of Pharaoh,
And he said Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron take for yourselves [the] fullness of hands your soot of a furnace and he will sprinkle it Moses the heavens towards to [the] eyes of Pharaoh.
9 and it hath become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and it hath become on man and on cattle a boil breaking forth [with] blains, in all the land of Egypt.'
And it will become dust over all [the] land of Egypt and it will become on humankind and on the livestock boil[s] breaking out blisters in all [the] land of Egypt.
10 And they take the soot of the furnace, and stand before Pharaoh, and Moses sprinkleth it towards the heavens, and it is a boil [with] blains, breaking forth, on man and on beast;
And they took [the] soot of the furnace and they stood before Pharaoh and he sprinkled it Moses the heavens towards and it became boil[s] blisters breaking out on humankind and on the livestock.
11 and the scribes have not been able to stand before Moses, because of the boil, for the boil hath been on the scribes, and on all the Egyptians.
And not they were able the magicians to stand before Moses because of the boil[s] for it was the boil[s] on the magicians and on all Egypt.
12 And Jehovah strengtheneth the heart of Pharaoh, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses.
And he made strong Yahweh [the] heart of Pharaoh and not he listened to them just as he had said Yahweh to Moses.
13 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'Rise early in the morning, and station thyself before Pharaoh, and thou hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve Me,
And he said Yahweh to Moses rise early in the morning and present yourself before Pharaoh and you will say to him thus he says Yahweh [the] God of the Hebrews let go people my so they may serve me.
14 for, at this time I am sending all My plagues unto thy heart, and on thy servants, and on thy people, so that thou knowest that there is none like Me in all the earth,
For - at the time this I [am] about to send all plagues my to heart your and on servants your and on people your in order that you may know that there not [is] like me in all the earth.
15 for now I have put forth My hand, and I smite thee, and thy people, with pestilence, and thou art hidden from the earth.
For now I stretched out hand my and I struck you and people your with pestilence and you were destroyed from the earth.
16 'And yet for this I have caused thee to stand, so as to show thee My power, and for the sake of declaring My Name in all the earth;
And but for sake of this I have caused to stand you in order to see you power my and so as to recount name my in all the earth.
17 still thou art exalting thyself against My people — so as not to send them away;
Still you [are] exalting yourself on people my to not to let go them.
18 lo, I am raining about [this] time to-morrow hail very grievous, such as hath not been in Egypt, even from the day of its being founded, even until now.
Here I [am] about to rain down about this time tomorrow hail heavy very which not it has been like it in Egypt from the day was founded it and until now.
19 'And, now, send, strengthen thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; every man and beast which is found in the field, and is not gathered into the house — come down on them hath the hail, and they have died.'
And therefore send bring to refuge livestock your and all that [belongs] to you in the field all the humankind and the livestock which it will be found in the field and not it will be gathered the house towards and it will come down on them the hail and they will die.
20 He who is fearing the word of Jehovah among the servants of Pharaoh hath caused his servants and his cattle to flee unto the houses;
The [one] fearing [the] word of Yahweh of [the] servants of Pharaoh he made to flee servants his and livestock his into the houses.
21 and he who hath not set his heart unto the word of Jehovah leaveth his servants and his cattle in the field.
And [the one] who not he set heart his to [the] word of Yahweh and he left servants his and livestock his in the field.
22 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'Stretch forth thy hand towards the heavens, and there is hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on beast, and on every herb of the field in the land of Egypt.'
And he said Yahweh to Moses stretch out hand your to the heavens so may it be hail in all [the] land of Egypt on the humankind and on the livestock and on all [the] vegetation of the field in [the] land of Egypt.
23 And Moses stretcheth out his rod towards the heavens, and Jehovah hath given voices and hail, and fire goeth towards the earth, and Jehovah raineth hail on the land of Egypt,
And he stretched out Moses staff his to the heavens and Yahweh he gave thunder claps and hail and it went fire [the] ground towards and he rained down Yahweh hail on [the] land of Egypt.
24 and there is hail, and fire catching itself in the midst of the hail, very grievous, such as hath not been in all the land of Egypt since it hath become a nation.
And it was hail and fire [was] flashing in [the] middle of the hail heavy very which not it had been like it in all [the] land of Egypt from then it had become a nation.
25 And the hail smiteth in all the land of Egypt all that [is] in the field, from man even unto beast, and every herb of the field hath the hail smitten, and every tree of the field it hath broken;
And it struck the hail in all [the] land of Egypt all that [was] in the field from humankind and unto livestock and all [the] vegetation of the field it struck the hail and every tree of the field it shattered.
26 only in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel [are], there hath been no hail.
Only in [the] land of Goshen where [were] there [the] people of Israel not it was hail.
27 And Pharaoh sendeth, and calleth for Moses and for Aaron, and saith unto them, 'I have sinned this time, Jehovah [is] the Righteous, and I and my people [are] the Wicked,
And he sent Pharaoh and he summoned Moses and Aaron and he said to them I have sinned this time Yahweh [is] the righteous [one] and I and people my [are] the guilty [ones].
28 make ye supplication unto Jehovah, and plead that there be no voices of God and hail, and I send you away, and ye add not to remain.'
Pray to Yahweh and [is too] much for being [the] thunder claps of God and [the] hail and I will let go you and not you will increase! to stay.
29 And Moses saith unto him, 'At my going out of the city, I spread my palms unto Jehovah — the voices cease, and the hail is not any more, so that thou knowest that the earth [is] Jehovah's;
And he said to him Moses when have gone out I the city I will spread out hands my to Yahweh the thunder claps they will cease! and the hail not it will happen again so that you may know that [belongs] to Yahweh the earth.
30 but thou and thy servants — I have known that ye are not yet afraid of the face of Jehovah God.'
And you and servants your I know that not yet you fear! because of Yahweh God.
31 And the flax and the barley have been smitten, for the barley [is] budding, and the flax forming flowers,
And the flax and the barley it was struck for the barley [was] young barley ear[s] and the flax [was] bud.
32 and the wheat and the rye have not been smitten, for they are late.
And the wheat and the spelt not they were struck for [are] late [crops] they.
33 And Moses goeth out from Pharaoh, [from] the city, and spreadeth his hands unto Jehovah, and the voices and the hail cease, and rain hath not been poured out to the earth;
And he went out Moses from with Pharaoh the city and he spread out hands his to Yahweh and they ceased the thunder claps and the hail and rain not it was poured out [the] earth towards.
34 and Pharaoh seeth that the rain hath ceased, and the hail and the voices, and he continueth to sin, and hardeneth his heart, he and his servants;
And he saw Pharaoh that it had ceased the rain and the hail and the thunder claps and he repeated to sin and he made heavy heart his he and servants his.
35 and the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not sent the sons of Israel away, as Jehovah hath spoken by the hand of Moses.
And it was strong [the] heart of Pharaoh and not he let go [the] people of Israel just as he had said Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses.
