Exodus 30
1 'And thou hast made an altar [for] making perfume; [of] shittim wood thou dost make it;
Tu feras l'autel de l'encens en bois incorruptible.
2 a cubit its length, and a cubit its breadth, (it is square), and two cubits its height; its horns [are] of the same.
Tu lui donneras une coudée de long sur une coudée de large; il sera quadrangulaire et haut de deux coudées; il aura les cornes en saillie.
3 'And thou hast overlaid it with pure gold, its top, and its sides round about, and its horns; and thou hast made to it a crown of gold round about;
Tu revêtiras d'or pur sa grille et ses panneaux tout autour, et ses cornes, et tu lui feras tout autour une couronne d'or en torsade.
4 and two rings of gold thou dost make to it under its crown; on its two ribs thou dost make [them], on its two sides, and they have become places for staves, to bear it with them.
Et sous sa couronne en torsade tu feras deux anneaux d'or pur, un de chaque côté; ils serviront d'anses aux leviers pour l'enlever.
5 'And thou hast made the staves of shittim wood, and hast overlaid them with gold;
Ceux-ci seront de bois incorruptible, et tu les revêtiras d'airain.
6 and thou hast put it before the vail, which [is] by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat which [is] over the testimony, whither I am met with thee.
Tu placeras l’autel devant le voile qui couvre l'arche du témoignage, où je me manifesterai à toi.
7 'And Aaron hath made perfume on it, perfume of spices, morning by morning; in his making the lamps right he doth perfume it,
Et tous les matins, sur cet autel, Aaron fera brûler le parfum composé et précieux; pendant qu'il nettoiera les lampes, il brûlera de l’encens sur l'autel.
8 and in Aaron's causing the lamps to go up between the evenings, he doth perfume it; a continual perfume before Jehovah to your generations.
Le soir aussi, lorsque Aaron allumera les lampes, il brûlera de l’encens sur l'autel; l'encens fumera toujours, toujours devant le Seigneur jusqu'à vos dernières générations.
9 'Ye do not cause strange perfume to go up upon it, and burnt-offering, and present, and libation ye do not pour out on it;
Tu n'apporteras point d'autre parfum sur l’autel, tu n'y déposeras ni fruit, ni offrande; tu répandras pas de libations.
10 and Aaron hath made atonement on its horns, once in a year, by the blood of the sin-offering of atonements; once in a year doth he make atonement for it, to your generations; it [is] most holy to Jehovah.'
Une fois par an Aaron priera sur l’autel et les cornes de l'autel pour apaiser Dieu; il purifiera l’autel avec le sang de la purification, jusqu’à vos dernières générations; car il est très saint pour le Seigneur.
11 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, et il dit:
12 'When thou takest up the sum of the sons of Israel for their numbers, then they have given each an atonement [for] his soul to Jehovah in their being numbered, and there is no plague among them in their being numbered.
Si tu fais le dénombrement des fils d'Israël, en les inspectant, chacun donnera au Seigneur la rançon de sa vie, et il n'y aura point chez eux de désastre pendant qu'ils seront inspectés.
13 'This they do give, every one passing over unto those numbered, half a shekel, by the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel [is] twenty gerahs); half a shekel [is] the heave-offering to Jehovah;
Et voici ce qu'ils donneront, à mesure qu'ils se présenteront devant toi pour être visites, une drachme conforme à la double drachme consacrée ayant vingt oboles; cette drachme offerte par eux sera pour le Seigneur.
14 every one passing over unto those numbered, from a son of twenty years and upwards, doth give the heave-offering of Jehovah;
Quiconque passera à la visite, âgé de vingt-trois ans et au-dessus, fera cette offrande au Seigneur.
15 the rich doth not multiply, and the poor doth not diminish from the half-shekel, to give the heave-offering of Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.
Le riche n'ajoutera rien, le pauvre ne retranchera rien à cette drachme donnée en offrande au Seigneur pour le rendre propice à vos âmes.
16 'And thou hast taken the atonement-money from the sons of Israel, and hast given it for the service of the tent of meeting; and it hath been to the sons of Israel for a memorial before Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.'
Tu prendras l'argent de l'offrande des fils d'Israël et tu l’emploieras à l'œuvre du tabernacle du témoignage, afin que le Seigneur, se souvienne d'eux et soit propice aux âmes des fils d'Israël.
17 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Le Seigneur continua de parler à Moïse, et il dit:
18 'And thou hast made a laver of brass (and its base of brass), for washing; and thou hast put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and hast put water there;
Fais un réservoir d'airain à base d'airain, pour qu'on s'y lave; tu le placeras entre le tabernacle du témoignage et l'autel, à l'entrée du tabernacle du témoignage, et tu y verseras de l’eau.
19 and Aaron and his sons have washed at it their hands and their feet,
Et Aaron et ses fils avec cette eau se laveront les pieds et les mains.
20 in their going in unto the tent of meeting they wash [with] water, and die not; or in their drawing nigh unto the altar to minister, to perfume a fire-offering to Jehovah,
Ils se laveront avec de l’eau, ayant d'entrer dans le tabernacle du témoignage, afin de ne point mourir lorsqu'ils s'approcheront de l'autel, pour exercer le sacerdoce et offrir les holocaustes au Seigneur.
21 then they have washed their hands and their feet, and they die not, and it hath been to them a statute age-during, to him and to his seed to their generations.'
Ils se laveront avec de l'eau les pieds et les mains, avant d'entrer dans le tabernacle du témoignage; ils se laveront avec de l'eau, afin qu'ils ne meurent pas: loi perpétuelle pour Aaron et ses générations après lui.
22 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, et il dit:
23 'And thou, take to thyself principal spices, wild honey five hundred [shekels]; and spice-cinnamon, the half of that, two hundred and fifty; and spice-cane two hundred and fifty;
Prends des parfums, de la fleur de myrrhe choisie, prends-en cinq cents sicles; prends deux cent cinquante sicles de cinnamome, odoriférant; prends autant de canne aromatique,
24 and cassia five hundred, by the shekel of the sanctuary, and olive oil a hin;
Avec cinq cents sicles d'iris, au poids du sicle consacré, et un hin d'huile d'olive,
25 and thou hast made it a holy anointing oil, a compound mixture, work of a compounder; it is a holy anointing oil.
Et fais-en de l’huile parfumée, un chrême saint, le baume par excellence, produit de l'art du parfumeur; ce sera une huile sainte pour les onctions.
26 'And thou hast anointed with it the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony,
Et tu en oindras le tabernacle du témoignage, l'arche du tabernacle du témoignage,
27 and the table and all its vessels, and the candlestick and its vessels, and the altar of perfume,
Avec tout son ameublement, et le chandelier, et tous ses ustensiles, et l'autel de l'encens;
28 and the altar of burnt-offering and all its vessels, and the laver and its base;
L'autel des holocaustes, la table avec tous ses ustensiles et le lavoir;
29 and thou hast sanctified them, and they have been most holy; all that is coming against them is holy;
Tu les sanctifieras, et ces choses seront saintes quiconque les touchera sera sanctifié.
30 and Aaron and his sons thou dost anoint, and hast sanctified them for being priests to Me.
Tu oindras aussi Aaron et ses fils, et tu les sanctifieras, pour qu'ils exercent mon sacerdoce.
31 'And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, A holy anointing oil is this to Me, to your generations;
Tu parleras ensuite aux fils d'Israël, et tu leur diras: Cette huile parfumée, chrême de l'onction, sera sainte pour vous et pour vos générations.
32 on flesh of man it is not poured, and with its proper proportion ye make none like it; it [is] holy; it is holy to you;
Nulle chair n'en sera ointe; on n'en fera point de pareille; c'est chose sainte, elle sera sacrée pour vous.
33 a man who compoundeth [any] like it, or who putteth of it on a stranger — hath even been cut off from his people.'
Celui qui en fera de pareille, celui qui en donnera à un étranger, sera exterminé parmi le peuple.
34 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'Take to thee spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, spices and pure frankincense; they are part for part;
Et le Seigneur, dit à Moïse: Prends en égale quantité de l’huile de myrrhe, de, l'onyx, du galbanum odoriférant, et de l'encens diaphane.
35 and thou hast made it a perfume, a compound, work of a compounder, salted, pure, holy;
Et l'on en composent un encens odoriférant, produit de l'art du parfumeur, œuvre pure et sainte.
36 and thou hast beaten [some] of it small, and hast put of it before the testimony, in the tent of meeting, whither I am met with thee; most holy it is to you.
Tu le couperas en petites parcelles, et tu en brûleras devant les témoignages, dans le tabernacle du témoignage, d’où je me manifesterai à toi; cet encens sera pour vous très saint.
37 'As to the perfume which thou makest, with its proper proportion ye do not make to yourselves, holy it is to thee to Jehovah;
Et vous n’en ferez point de pareil pour vous-mêmes; il sera par vous consacré au Seigneur.
38 a man who maketh [any] like it — to be refreshed by it — hath even been cut off from his people.'
Celui qui en fera de pareil pour jouir de son parfum, périra parmi le peuple.
