Esther 10

1 And the king Ahasuerus setteth a tribute on the land and the isles of the sea;

Und der König Ahasveros legte dem Festland und den Inseln des Meeres einen Tribut auf.

2 and all the work of his strength, and his might, and the explanation of the greatness of Mordecai with which the king made him great, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of Media and Persia?

Aber alle Werke seiner Gewalt und seiner Macht und die Beschreibung der Größe Mardochais, zu welcher ihn der König erhob, ist das nicht aufgezeichnet in der Chronik der Könige von Medien und Persien?

3 For Mordecai the Jew [is] second to king Ahasuerus, and a great man of the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking good for his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.

Denn der Jude Mardochai war der Nächste nach dem König Ahasveros und groß unter den Juden und beliebt bei der Menge seiner Brüder, weil er das Beste seines Volkes suchte und mit all seinem Geschlecht freundlich redete!
