Deuteronomy 32
1 'Give ear, O heavens, and I speak; And thou dost hear, O earth, sayings of my mouth!
Mihainoa, ry lanitra, fa hiteny aho! Ary mandrenesa, ry tany, ny tenin’ ny vavako!
2 Drop as rain doth My doctrine; Flow as dew doth My sayings; As storms on the tender grass, And as showers on the herb,
Ho avy tahaka ny ranonorana ny fampianarako, Ary hilatsaka tahaka ny ando ny teniko, Sy tahaka ny erika amin’ ny ahi-maitso Ary ny ranonorana amin’ ny anana.
3 For the Name of Jehovah I proclaim, Ascribe ye greatness to our God!
Fa ny anaran’ i Jehovah no hotoriko; Maneke ny fahalehibiazan’ Andriamanitsika.
4 The Rock! — perfect [is] His work, For all His ways [are] just; God of stedfastness, and without iniquity: Righteous and upright [is] He.
Ny amin’ ny Vatolampy, tanteraka ny asany; Fa ny lalany rehetra dia amin’ ny rariny avokoa. Andriamanitra mahatoky Izy, ka tsy misy ratsy ao aminy; Marina sy mahitsy Izy.
5 It hath done corruptly to Him; Their blemish is not His sons', A generation perverse and crooked!
Efa nasian-dratsy Izy; Tsy zanany ireny, tsininy izany; Taranaka miolakolaka sady efa nivadika izy.
6 To Jehovah do ye act thus, O people foolish and not wise? Is not He thy father — thy possessor? He made thee, and doth establish thee.
Moa Jehovah hovalianareo toy izany va, Ry firenena adala ka tsy hendry? Tsy Izy va no Rainao, Izay nanavotra anao? Tsy Izy va no nanao anao sy nanorina anao?
7 Remember days of old — Understand the years of many generations — Ask thy father, and he doth tell thee; Thine elders, and they say to thee:
Tsarovy ny andro fahiny, Saino ny taona hatrizay hatrizay; Anontanio amin-drainao, fa hanambara aminao izy, Sy amin’ ny anti-panahy eo aminao, fa hilaza aminao izy;
8 In the Most High causing nations to inherit, In His separating sons of Adam — He setteth up the borders of the peoples By the number of the sons of Israel.
Fony nomen’ ny Avo Indrindra zara-tany ny jentilisa, Ka samy natokantokany ny zanak’ olombelona, Dia notendreny ny fari-tanin’ ireo firenena Araka ny isan’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely.
9 For Jehovah's portion [is] His people, Jacob [is] the line of His inheritance.
Fa anjaran’ i Jehovah ny olony: Jakoba no natokany ho lovany.
10 He findeth him in a land — a desert, And in a void — a howling wilderness, He turneth him round — He causeth him to understand — He keepeth him as the apple of His eye.
Nahita azy tany an-efitra Izy, Dia tany amin’ ny tany foana be nampierona, Ka dia nanodidina sy niahy azy Ary notandremany tahaka ny anakandriamasony.
11 As an eagle waketh up its nest, Over its young ones fluttereth, Spreadeth its wings — taketh them, Beareth them on its pinions; —
Toy ny voromahery manaitra ny ao amin’ ny akaniny Ka manidintsidina eo ambonin’ ny zanany, Dia toy izany no namelarany ny elany sy nandraisany azy Ary nitondrany azy teo ambonin’ ny elany,
12 Jehovah alone doth lead him, And there is no strange god with him.
Jehovah irery no nitondra azy, Ary tsy nisy andriamani-kafa teo aminy.
13 He maketh him ride on high places of earth, And he eateth increase of the fields, And He maketh him suck honey from a rock, And oil out of the flint of a rock;

14 Butter of the herd, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs, and rams, sons of Bashan, And he-goats, with fat of kidneys of wheat; And of the blood of the grape thou dost drink wine!
Sy rononomandrin’ omby sy rononon’ ondry aman’ osy Mbamin’ ny tavin’ ny zanak’ ondry Sy ondrilahin’ i Basana sy osilahy Ary vary izay vokatra indrindra; Ary nisotro divay mahery avy tamin’ ny ran’ ny voaloboka ianao.
15 And Jeshurun waxeth fat, and doth kick: Thou hast been fat — thou hast been thick, Thou hast been covered. And he leaveth God who made him, And dishonoureth the Rock of his salvation.
Nihanatavy Jesorona ka namely daka, Efa matavy ianao sady vory nofo no vaventibe, Dia nahafoy an’ Andriamanitra Izay nanao azy izy, Ary nanamavo ny Vatolampy famonjena azy.
16 They make Him zealous with strangers, With abominations they make Him angry.
Nampahasaro-piaro Azy tamin’ ny hafa Izy; Ary tamin’ ny zava-betaveta no nampahasosorany Azy;
17 They sacrifice to demons — no god! Gods they have not known — New ones — from the vicinity they came; Not feared them have your fathers!
Namono zavatra ho fanatitra ho an’ ny demonia izay tsy Andriamanitra izy, Dia andriamanitra tsy fantany, Fa andriamanitra vao niseho, Izay tsy natahoran’ ny razanareo.
18 The Rock that begat thee thou forgettest, And neglectest God who formeth thee.
Ny Vatolampy Izay niteraka anao dia tsy tsaroanao, Ary hadinoinao Andriamanitra Izay nahary anao.
19 And Jehovah seeth and despiseth — For the provocation of His sons and His daughters.
Ary Jehovah nahita izany ka nandà Noho ny fahasosorany tamin’ ny zananilahy sy ny zananivavy.
20 And He saith: I hide My face from them, I see what [is] their latter end; For a froward generation [are] they, Sons in whom is no stedfastness.
Dia hoy Izy: Hafeniko azy ny tavako; Ho hitako izay hiafarany; Fa firenena tena mpivadibadika izy, Dia zaza tsy mahatoky.
21 They have made Me zealous by 'no-god,' They made Me angry by their vanities; And I make them zealous by 'no-people,' By a foolish nation I make them angry.
Izy efa nampahasaro-piaro Ahy tamin’ izay tsy Andriamanitra Sy nampahasosotra Ahy tamin’ ny zava-poanany; Ary Izaho kosa hampahasaro-piaro azy amin’ izay tsy olona, Sy hampahasosotra azy amin’ izay firenena adala.
22 For a fire hath been kindled in Mine anger, And it burneth unto Sheol — the lowest, And consumeth earth and its increase, And setteth on fire foundations of mountains. (Sheol h7585)
Fa arehitra ny afon’ ny fahatezerako, Ka mandoro hatrany amin’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita any ambany indrindra, Sady mandevona ny tany mbamin’ ny vokatra ao aminy Ary mampirehitra ny fanambanin’ ny tendrombohitra aza. (Sheol h7585)
23 I gather upon them evils, Mine arrows I consume upon them.
Havangongoko aminy ny loza betsaka; Ary holaniko aminy ny zana-tsi-pikako:
24 Exhausted by famine, And consumed by heat, and bitter destruction. And the teeth of beasts I send upon them, With poison of fearful things of the dust.
Hofezahin’ ny mosary izy sady holanin’ ny areti-mandripaka Sy ny fandringanana mangidy; Ary nifim-biby no hampandehaniko aminy Jesorona dia anaran’ ny Isiraely. Mbamin’ ny poizin’ ny biby mpikisaka amin’ ny vovoka.
25 Without bereave doth the sword, And at the inner-chambers — fear, Both youth and virgin, Suckling with man of grey hair.
Eny ivelany dia ny sabatra no hahafaty ny zanany, Ary ao amin’ ny efi-trano dia ny fampahatahorana Na ny zatovolahy na ny zatovovavy, Na ny zaza minono na ny fotsy volo.
26 I have said: I blow them away, I cause their remembrance to cease from man;
Fa efa nolazaiko hoe: Hotsofiko hihahaka izy; Hatsahatro ny fahatsiarovana azy tsy ho eo amin’ ny zanak’ olombelona,
27 If not — the anger of an enemy I fear, Lest their adversaries know — Lest they say, Our hand is high, And Jehovah hath not wrought all this.
Raha tsy ny fireharehan’ ny fahavalo no natahorako, Andrao diso hevitra ireny mpandrafy azy ireny Ka hanao hoe: Ny tananay no avo; Fa tsy Jehovah tsy akory no nanao izany rehetra izany.
28 For a nation lost to counsels [are] they, And there is no understanding in them.
Fa firenena tsy manan-tsaina izy Sady tsy manam-pahalalana.
29 If they were wise — They deal wisely [with] this; They attend to their latter end:
Enga anie ka hendry izy mba hahalala izao Ka hahafantatra izay ho farany.
30 How doth one pursue a thousand, And two cause a myriad to flee! If not — that their rock hath sold them, And Jehovah hath shut them up?
Hataon’ ny irery ahoana no fanenjika ny arivo, Ary hataon’ ny roa lahy ahoana no fampandositra ny iray alina, Raha tsy ny Vatolampiny no efa nivarotra azy, Ary Jehovah no efa nanolotra azy?
31 For not as our Rock [is] their rock, (And our enemies [are] judges!)

32 For of the vine of Sodom their vine [is], And of the fields of Gomorrah; Their grapes [are] grapes of gall — They have bitter clusters;
Ny tahom-boalobony dia tahom-boalobok’ i Sodoma Ary avy ao amin’ ny sahan’ i Gomora; Ny voalobony dia voaloboka mahafaty, Sady mangidy koa ny sampahony.
33 The poison of dragons [is] their wine And the fierce venom of asps.
Ny divainy dia zava-mahafaty avy amin’ ny dragona, Ary poizina loza avy amin’ ny bibilava.
34 Is it not laid up with Me? Sealed among My treasures?
Moa tsy voatahiry ato amiko va izany Ka voaisy kase ato an-trano firaketako?
35 Mine [are] vengeance and recompense, At the due time — doth their foot slide; For near is a day of their calamity, And haste do things prepared for them.
Ahy ny famaliana sy ny fampanodiavana, Raha avy izay hahasolafaka ny tongony; Fa antomotra ny andro hahitany loza, Ary ho avy faingana ny zava-boatendry hanjo azy.
36 For Jehovah doth judge His people, And for His servants doth repent Himself. For He seeth — the going away of power, And none is restrained and left.
Fa Jehovah hanome rariny ny olony Ary hanenina ny amin’ ny mpanompony, Raha hitany fa lany ny heriny, Ka lasa avokoa na ny voahazona, na ny afaka.
37 And He hath said, Where [are] their gods — The rock in which they trusted;
Ary hiteny hoe Izy: Aiza ireo andriamaniny, Dia ny vatolampy izay nialofany,
38 Which the fat of their sacrifices do eat, They drink the wine of their libation! Let them arise and help you, Let it be for you a hiding-place!
Izay nihinana ny saboran’ ny fanatiny Ary nisotro ny divain’ ny fanatitra aidiny? Aoka ireny no hitsangana ka hamonjy anareo Ary ho fierena ho anareo.
39 See ye, now, that I — I [am] He, And there is no god with Me: I put to death, and I keep alive; I have smitten, and I heal; And there is not from My hand a deliverer,
Fantaro ankehitriny fa Izaho dia Izaho no Izy, Ka tsy misy andriamanitra eto amiko. Izaho no mahafaty sy mahavelona, Ary Izaho no maharatra sy mahasitrana, Ka tsy misy mahafaka amin’ ny tanako.
40 For I lift up unto the heavens My hand, And have said, I live — to the age!
Fa manangana ny tanako amin’ ny lanitra Aho Ka manao hoe: Raha velona koa Aho mandrakizay:
41 If I have sharpened the brightness of My sword, And My hand doth lay hold on judgment, I turn back vengeance to Mine adversaries, And to those hating Me — I repay!
Raha manasa ny sabatro manelatselatra Aho, Ka voarain’ ny tanako ny fitsarana, Dia hampanodiaviko ny mpandrafy Ahy ny ataony, Ary hovaliako ny mankahala Ahy.
42 I make drunk Mine arrows with blood, And My sword devoureth flesh, From the blood of the pierced and captive, From the head of the freemen of the enemy.
Hataoko mamon-drà ny zana-tsipikako, Ary ny sabatro hihina-nofo, Dia ny ran’ ny voavono sy ny babo Mbamin’ ny lohan’ izay lehibe amin’ ny fahavalo.
43 Sing ye nations — [with] his people, For the blood of His servants He avengeth, And vengeance He turneth back on His adversaries, And hath pardoned His land — His people.'
Mihobia, ry jentilisa mbamin’ ny olony; Fa ny ran’ ny mpanompony no hovaliany. Hamaly ny mpandrafy Azy Izy, Ary hanao fanavotana kosa ho an’ ny taniny sy ny olony.
44 And Moses cometh and speaketh all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Hoshea son of Nun;
Dia nandeha Mosesy ka nilaza ny teny rehetra amin’ izany fihirana izany teo anatrehan’ ny olona, dia izy sy Hosea, zanak’ i Nona.
45 and Moses finisheth to speak all these words unto all Israel,
Ary nony efa tapitra voalazan’ i Mosesy tamin’ ny Isiraely rehetra izany teny rehetra izany,
46 and saith unto them, 'Set your heart to all the words which I am testifying against you to-day, that ye command your sons to observe to do all the words of this law,

47 for it [is] not a vain thing for you, for it [is] your life, and by this thing ye prolong days on the ground whither ye are passing over the Jordan to possess it.'
Fa tsy zava-poana ho anareo izany, fa izany no fiainanareo; ary izany zavatra izany no hahamaro andro anareo eo amin’ ny tany izay efa hidiranareo holovana, rehefa tafita an’ i Jordana ianareo.
48 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, in this self-same day, saying,
Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Mosesy androtrizay indrindra ka nanao hoe:
49 'Go up unto this mount Abarim, mount Nebo, which [is] in the land of Moab, which [is] on the front of Jericho, and see the land of Canaan which I am giving to the sons of Israel for a possession;
Miakara amin’ ity tendrombohitra Abarima ity, dia ny tendrombohitra Nebo, izay eo amin’ ny tany Moaba tandrifin’ i Jeriko; ary tazano ny tany Kanana, izay omeko ny Zanak’ Isiraely ho lovany.
50 and die in the mount whither thou art going up, and be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother hath died in the mount Hor, and is gathered unto his people:
Dia aoka ho faty ao amin’ ny tendrombohitra izay iakaranao ianao, ka ho voangona any amin’ ny razanao, tahaka ny nahafatesan’ i Arona rahalahinao tao an-tendrombohitra Hora sy ny nanangonana azy any amin’ ny razany,
51 'Because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribath-Kadesh, the wilderness of Zin — because ye sanctified Me not in the midst of the sons of Israel;
satria nivadika tamiko teo amin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely ianareo tao amin’ ny ranon’ i Meriba any Kadesy, tany an-efitra Zina; fa tsy nahamasina Ahy teo amin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely ianareo.
52 but over-against thou seest the land, and thither thou dost not go in, unto the land which I am giving to the sons of Israel.'
Fa hahatazana ny tany eo anoloanao ihany ianao, kanefa tsy hiditra any amin’ ny tany izay omeko ny Zanak’ Isiraely.
