Colossians 3
1 If, then, ye were raised with the Christ, the things above seek ye, where the Christ is, on the right hand of God seated,
നിങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ഉയിർപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ ഉയരത്തിലുള്ളത് അന്വേഷിക്കുക. അവിടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വലതുഭാഗത്ത് ക്രിസ്തു ഉപവിഷ്ടനായിരിക്കുന്നു.
2 the things above mind ye, not the things upon the earth,
ഭൂമിയിലുള്ളവയിലല്ല, ഉയരത്തിലുള്ളവയിൽത്തന്നെ മനസ്സ് കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുക.
3 for ye did die, and your life hath been hid with the Christ in God;
നിങ്ങൾ മരിച്ചിട്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ദൈവത്തിൽ മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
4 when the Christ — our life — may be manifested, then also we with him shall be manifested in glory.
നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവനായ ക്രിസ്തു പ്രത്യക്ഷനാകുമ്പോൾ അവിടത്തോടൊപ്പം നിങ്ങളും തേജസ്സിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷരാകും.
5 Put to death, then, your members that [are] upon the earth — whoredom, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and the covetousness, which is idolatry —
അതിനാൽ അസാന്മാർഗികത, അശുദ്ധി, വിഷയാസക്തി, ദുഷിച്ച അഭിലാഷങ്ങൾ, വിഗ്രഹാരാധനയായ അത്യാഗ്രഹം എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ജഡികവികാരങ്ങളെ നിർജീവമാക്കുക.
6 because of which things cometh the anger of God upon the sons of the disobedience,
ഇവ ദൈവകോപം ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുന്നവയാണ്.
7 in which also ye — ye did walk once, when ye lived in them;
നിങ്ങൾ ഒരുകാലത്ത് ഇവയെല്ലാമനുസരിച്ചു ജീവിച്ചവരായിരുന്നു.
8 but now put off, even ye, the whole — anger, wrath, malice, evil-speaking, filthy talking — out of your mouth.
എന്നാൽ കോപം, ക്രോധം, വിദ്വേഷം, ദൂഷണം, നിങ്ങളുടെ വായിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുന്ന അശ്ലീലഭാഷണം ഇവയൊക്കെയും ഇപ്പോൾ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുക.
9 Lie not one to another, having put off the old man with his practices,
പരസ്പരം വ്യാജം പറയരുത്; നിങ്ങൾ പഴയ മനുഷ്യനെ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളോടുകൂടെ ഉരിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞിട്ട്,
10 and having put on the new, which is renewed in regard to knowledge, after the image of Him who did create him;
തന്റെ സ്രഷ്ടാവിന്റെ പ്രതിരൂപത്തിൽ, പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ നവീകരണം പ്രാപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന നവമാനവനെയല്ലോ ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
11 where there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, foreigner, Scythian, servant, freeman — but the all and in all — Christ.
ഇതിൽ ഗ്രീക്കുകാരനെന്നോ യെഹൂദനെന്നോ പരിച്ഛേദനം ഏറ്റവനെന്നോ ഏൽക്കാത്തവനെന്നോ അപരിഷ്കൃതനെന്നോ സിഥിയനെന്നോ ദാസൻ എന്നോ സ്വതന്ത്രൻ എന്നോ വ്യത്യാസം ഇല്ല. എല്ലാം ക്രിസ്തുവത്രേ നാം എല്ലാവരിലും വസിക്കുന്നതും ക്രിസ്തുവത്രേ.
12 Put on, therefore, as choice ones of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humble-mindedness, meekness, long-suffering,
ദൈവത്താൽ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും വിശുദ്ധരും ദൈവത്തിനു പ്രിയരുമാകുകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ മനസ്സലിവ്, ദയ, വിനയം, സൗമ്യത, ക്ഷമ, എന്നിവ ധരിക്കുക.
13 forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any one with any one may have a quarrel, as also the Christ did forgive you — so also ye;
പരസ്പരം ക്ഷമിക്കുകയും സഹിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുക; നിങ്ങളിലൊരാൾക്കു മറ്റൊരാൾക്കെതിരേ പരാതി ഉണ്ടായാൽ, കർത്താവ് നിങ്ങളോടു ക്ഷമിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളും ക്ഷമിക്കുക.
14 and above all these things, [have] love, which is a bond of the perfection,
എല്ലാറ്റിലും ഉപരിയായി എല്ലാവരെയുംതമ്മിൽ സമ്പൂർണമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കണ്ണിയായ സ്നേഹം ധരിക്കുക.
15 and let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also ye were called in one body, and become thankful.
ക്രിസ്തു നൽകുന്ന സമാധാനം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ ഭരിക്കട്ടെ. അതിനായിട്ടാണല്ലോ നിങ്ങളെ ഏകശരീരമായി വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. കൃതജ്ഞതയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കുക.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing each other, in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, in grace singing in your hearts to the Lord;
ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെസന്ദേശം നിങ്ങളിൽ സമൃദ്ധിയോടെ വസിക്കട്ടെ. അങ്ങനെ ആയിരിക്കണം നിങ്ങൾ, സർവജ്ഞാനത്തോടും കൂടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നന്ദി നിറഞ്ഞവരായി, സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ, സ്തുതിഗീതങ്ങൾ, ആത്മികഗാനങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയാൽ ദൈവത്തിനു പാടിക്കൊണ്ട്, പരസ്പരം ഉപദേശിക്കുകയും പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്.
17 and all, whatever ye may do in word or in work, [do] all things in the name of the Lord Jesus — giving thanks to the God and Father, through him.
നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കോ പ്രവൃത്തിയോ എന്തായാലും അവയെല്ലാം കർത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ചെയ്തും യേശുക്രിസ്തു മുഖാന്തരം പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന് സ്തോത്രം അർപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടും ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ.
18 The wives! be subject to your own husbands, as is fit in the Lord;
ഭാര്യമാരേ, കർത്താവിനു യോഗ്യമായവിധം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാർക്കും വിധേയപ്പെടുക.
19 the husbands! love your wives, and be not bitter with them;
ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെ സ്നേഹിക്കണം, അവരോടു പരുഷമായി പെരുമാറരുത്.
20 the children! obey the parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord;
മക്കളേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കളെ സകലത്തിലും അനുസരിക്കുക, അതു കർത്താവിനു പ്രസാദകരമല്ലോ.
21 the fathers! vex not your children, lest they be discouraged.
പിതാക്കന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെ കോപിപ്പിക്കരുത്. അങ്ങനെചെയ്താൽ അവർ നിരാശരായിത്തീരും.
22 The servants! obey in all things those who are masters according to the flesh, not in eye-service as men-pleasers, but in simplicity of heart, fearing God;
ദാസന്മാരേ, ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ യജമാനന്മാരെ എല്ലാക്കാര്യത്തിലും അനുസരിക്കുക: മനുഷ്യരെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടി, അവർ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുന്നിലുള്ളപ്പോൾമാത്രം വേലചെയ്യുന്നവരായിട്ടല്ല, എല്ലാ സമയത്തും ആത്മാർഥതയോടും ദൈവഭയത്തോടുംകൂടി അവരെ അനുസരിക്കുക.
23 and all, whatever ye may do — out of soul work — as to the Lord, and not to men,
നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നതൊക്കെയും മനുഷ്യർക്കെന്നപോലെയല്ല, കർത്താവിനെന്നപോലെ ഹൃദയപൂർവം ചെയ്യുക:
24 having known that from the Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance — for the Lord Christ ye serve;
കർത്താവിന്റെ സമ്പത്തിന്റെ ഓഹരി നിങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രതിഫലമായി ലഭിക്കുമെന്നറിയുക. കാരണം, കർത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെയാണല്ലോ നിങ്ങൾ യഥാർഥത്തിൽ സേവിക്കുന്നത്.
25 and he who is doing unrighteously shall receive what he did unrighteously, and there is no acceptance of persons.
അതുപോലെതന്നെ തെറ്റു ചെയ്തവന്, താൻ ചെയ്ത തെറ്റിനു തക്ക ശിക്ഷയും കിട്ടും; ദൈവത്തിനു പക്ഷഭേദം ഇല്ലല്ലോ.
