Amos 5
1 Hear this word that I am bearing to you, A lamentation, O house of Israel:
১হে ইস্ৰায়েল-বংশ; মই তোমালোকৰ যি বিষয় লৈ বিলাপ কৰিছোঁ, সেই বিষয়ে তোমালোকে শুনা।
2 'Fallen, not again to rise, hath the virgin of Israel, Left on her land — she hath no raiser up.'
২“কুমাৰী ইস্ৰায়েল পতিত হ’ল, তেওঁ পুনৰ নুঠিব; তেওঁক নিজৰ দেশৰ মাটিত পৰিত্যক্তা কৰি পেলাই থোৱা হৈছে, তেওঁক তুলিবলৈ কোনো নাই।”
3 For thus said the Lord Jehovah: The city that is going out a thousand, Doth leave an hundred, And that which is going out an hundred, Doth leave ten to the house of Israel.
৩কিয়নো প্ৰভু যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে: “ইস্রায়েলৰ যি নগৰৰ পৰা এক হাজাৰ সৈন্য ওলাই যায়, তাৰে এশজন জীয়াই থাকিব আৰু যি নগৰৰ পৰা এশজন লোক ওলাই যায়, তাৰ মাত্র দহ জন ইস্ৰায়েল-বংশলৈ অৱশিষ্ট থাকিব।”
4 For thus said Jehovah to the house of Israel: Seek ye Me, and live,
৪যিহোৱাই ইস্ৰায়েল-বংশক এই কথা কৈছে, “তোমালোকে মোক বিচাৰা আৰু জীয়াই থাকা;
5 And seek not Beth-El, and Gilgal enter not, And Beer-Sheba pass not through, For Gilgal doth utterly remove, And Beth-El doth become vanity.
৫কিন্তু বৈৎএলক বিচাৰি নাযাব; গিলগলত নোসোমাবা, আৰু বেৰ-চেবালৈ নাযাবা; কিয়নো গিলগল অৱশ্যেই বন্দী হ’ব, আৰু বৈৎ-এলৰ সর্বনাশ হ’ব।
6 Seek ye Jehovah, and live, Lest He prosper as fire [against] the house of Joseph, And it hath consumed, And there is no quencher for Beth-El.
৬তোমালোকে যিহোৱাক বিচাৰা, তাতে জীয়াই থাকিবা; নহলে তেওঁ যোচেফৰ বংশৰ মাজত অগ্নিৰ দৰে জ্বলি উঠি গ্রাস কৰিব আৰু তাক নুমাবলৈ বৈৎএলত কোনো নাথাকিব।
7 Ye who are turning to wormwood judgment, And righteousness to the earth have put down,
৭তোমালোকে সুবিচাৰক তিতালৈ পৰিণত কৰিছা আৰু ধার্মিকতাক ভূমিস্যাৎ কৰিছা।
8 The maker of Kimah and Kesil, And the turner to morning of death-shade, And day [as] night He hath made dark, Who is calling to the waters of the sea, And poureth them on the face of the earth, Jehovah [is] His name;
৮যি জনাই কৃত্তিকা আৰু মৃগশীৰ্ষ কালপুৰুষ নামৰ নক্ষত্র মণ্ডলীক নির্মাণ কৰিলে, অন্ধকাৰক পুৱাৰ পোহৰলৈ পৰিবৰ্তন কৰে, দিনক ৰাতিলৈ সলনি কৰে, যি জনাই সাগৰৰ জল সমূহক আহ্বান কৰি ভূমিৰ ওপৰত ঢালি দিয়ে, তেওঁৰ নাম যিহোৱা!
9 Who is brightening up the spoiled against the strong, And the spoiled against a fortress cometh.
৯তেওঁ শক্তিশালী সৈন্যবোৰৰ ওপৰত হঠাৎ বিনাশ উপস্থিত কৰায়, তাতে দুৰ্গবোৰৰ ওপৰলৈ ধ্বংস নামি আঁহে।
10 They have hated a reprover in the gate, And a plain speaker they abominate.
১০নগৰৰ দুৱাৰত অন্যায়ৰ বিৰুদ্ধে থিয় হোৱাজনক, তোমালোকে ঘিণ কৰা আৰু সত্য কথা কোৱা জনক তুচ্ছ কৰা।
11 Therefore, because of your trampling on the poor, And the tribute of corn ye take from him, Houses of hewn work ye have built, And ye do not dwell in them, Desirable vineyards ye have planted, And ye do not drink their wine.
১১তোমালোকে দুখীয়াক অত্যাচাৰেৰে গছকি বলেৰে ঘেঁহু ধান আদায় কৰা। সেয়ে যদিও তোমালোকে কটা-শিলৰ ডাঙৰ ঘৰ তৈয়াৰ কৰিলা, তথাপিও তোমালোকে তাত বাস কৰিবলৈ নাপাবা; মনোহৰ দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰী পাতিলেও, তাৰ দ্ৰাক্ষাৰস পান কৰিবলৈ নাপাবা।
12 For I have known — many [are] your transgressions, And mighty your sins, Adversaries of the righteous, taking ransoms, And the needy in the gate ye turned aside.
১২কিয়নো, মই জানো তোমালোকৰ অপৰাধ কিমান অধিক আৰু তোমালোকৰ পাপবোৰ কিমান ভীষণ! তোমালোকে সৎ লোকৰ ওপৰত উপদ্রৱ কৰা আৰু ভেটী লোৱা; নগৰৰ দুৱাৰত তোমালোকে দৰিদ্ৰসকলৰ প্রতি অন্যায় কৰিছা।
13 Therefore is the wise at that time silent, For an evil time it [is].
১৩সেই বাবে এই, এই সময়ত বিজ্ঞ লোক মনে মনে থাকে; কিয়নো ই এক দু: সময়।
14 Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live, And it is so; Jehovah, God of Hosts, [is] with you, as ye said.
১৪তোমালোকে যাতে জীয়াই থাকিব পাৰা, সেইবাবে ভাল কামৰ পিছত যোৱা, বেয়া কামৰ পিছত নহয়। তেতিয়া তোমালোকে কোৱাৰ দৰে বাহিনীগণৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱা তোমালোকৰ লগত থাকিব।
15 Hate evil, and love good, And set up judgment in the gate, It may be Jehovah, God of Hosts, doth pity the remnant of Joseph.
১৫যি মন্দ, তাক ঘিণ কৰা আৰু যি ভাল, তাক ভালপোৱা। নগৰৰ দুৱাৰত সুবিচাৰ স্থাপন কৰা; তেতিয়া কিজানি যোচেফৰ জীয়াই থকা অৱশিষ্ট লোকৰ প্রতি বাহিনীগণৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই দয়া কৰিব।
16 Therefore, thus said Jehovah, God of Hosts, the Lord, In all broad places [is] lamentation, And in all out-places they say, 'Alas, alas,' And called the husbandman to mourning, And to lamentation the skilful of wailing.
১৬সেইবাবে বাহিনীগণৰ ঈশ্বৰ প্ৰভু যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, “নগৰৰ চকবোৰত লোকে বিলাপ কৰিব, আলিবোৰত হায়! হায়! কৰিব; তেওঁলোকে খেতিয়কক শোক কৰিবলৈ, আৰু শোক কৰাসকলক বিলাপ কৰিবলৈ মাতিব।
17 And in all vineyards [is] lamentation, For I pass into thy midst, said Jehovah.
১৭সকলো দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰীতে বিলাপ হ’ব, কিয়নো মই তোমালোকৰ মাজেদি যাম।” যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে।
18 Ho, ye who are desiring the day of Jehovah, Why [is] this to you — the day of Jehovah? It is darkness, and not light,
১৮তোমালোক যিসকলে প্ৰভুৰ বিচাৰৰ দিন চাবলৈ আকাংক্ষা কৰা, সেই লোকসকলক ধিক। তোমালোকে কিয় যিহোৱাৰ সোধবিচাৰৰ দিনলৈ আকাংক্ষা কৰা? সেই দিন অন্ধকাৰ, পোহৰ নহয়।
19 As [when] one fleeth from the face of the lion, And the bear hath met him, And he hath come in to the house, And hath leant his hand on the wall, And the serpent hath bitten him.
১৯যেনেদৰে কোনো মানুহ সিংহৰ মুখৰ পৰা পলাই গৈ এটা ভালুকৰ সন্মুখত পৰে, নাইবা নিজৰ ঘৰত সোমাই দেৱালত হাত দিওঁতে তেওঁক সাপে খুটে, তেনেদৰেই হ’ব সেইদিন।
20 Is not the day of Jehovah darkness and not light, Even thick darkness that hath no brightness?
২০যিহোৱাৰ দিন জানো পোহৰ নহৈ অন্ধকাৰ নহ’ব? সেয়ে জানো উজ্জ্বলতা নথকা ঘোৰ অন্ধকাৰৰ দিন নহ’ব?
21 I have hated — I have loathed your festivals, And I am not refreshed by your restraints.
২১মই তোমালোকৰ পর্ববোৰ ঘিণ কৰোঁ, অগ্রাহ্য কৰোঁ; মই তোমালোকৰ ধৰ্ম-সভাবোৰত আনন্দ নকৰোঁ।
22 For though ye cause burnt-offerings and your presents to ascend to Me, I am not pleased, And the peace-offering of your fatlings I behold not.
২২তোমালোকে মোৰ উদ্দেশ্যে তোমালোকৰ হোম-বলি আৰু ভক্ষ্য নৈবেদ্য উৎসৰ্গ কৰিলেও মই সেইবোৰ গ্ৰহণ নকৰিম; এনেকি তোমালোকে যদি হৃষ্টপুষ্ট পশুৰে মঙ্গলার্থক বলিও দিয়া, তথাপিও মই তালৈ দৃষ্টি নকৰিম।
23 Turn aside from Me the noise of thy songs, Yea, the praise of thy psaltery I hear not.
২৩তোমালোকৰ গানৰ কোলাহল মোৰ পৰা দূৰ কৰা; মই তোমালোকৰ বীণাৰ শব্দ শুনিব নোখোজোঁ;
24 And roll on as waters doth judgment, And righteousness as a perennial stream.
২৪কিন্তু ন্যায়বিচাৰ পানীৰ নিচিনাকৈ আৰু ধাৰ্মিকতা অবিৰামে বৈ থকা নদীৰ নিচিনাকৈ বৈ যাওঁক।
25 Sacrifices and offering did ye bring nigh to Me, In a wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?
২৫হে ইস্ৰায়েল-বংশ, মৰুপ্রান্তৰত চল্লিশ বছৰ তোমালোকে মোৰ উদ্দেশ্যে জানো কোনো বলি আৰু নৈবেদ্য আনিছিলা?
26 And ye bare Succoth your king, and Chiun your images, The star of your god, that ye made for yourselves.
২৬বৰং তোমালোকে নিজে নির্মাণ কৰা তোমালোকৰ ৰজা-দেৱতা চিক্কুত আৰু তৰা দেৱতা কিয়ুনৰ মূৰ্ত্তিক বৈ লৈ গৈছিলা।
27 And I removed you beyond Damascus, Said Jehovah, God of Hosts [is] His name.
২৭সেয়ে, মই তোমালোকক দম্মেচকৰ সিফালে বন্দী হিচাবে লৈ যাম।” মই বাহিনীগণৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, যি জনৰ নাম বাহিনীগণৰ ঈশ্বৰ।”
