Amos 1
1 Words of Amos — who hath been among herdsmen of Tekoa — that he hath seen concerning Israel, in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the shaking;
൧തെക്കോവയിലെ ഇടയന്മാരിൽ ഒരുവനായ ആമോസ്, യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ ഉസ്സീയാവിന്റെയും യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാവായ യോവാശിന്റെ മകൻ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെയും കാലത്ത്, ഭൂകമ്പത്തിന് രണ്ട് സംവത്സരം മുമ്പ് യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ദർശിച്ച വചനങ്ങൾ.
2 and he saith: Jehovah from Zion doth roar, And from Jerusalem giveth forth His voice, And mourned have pastures of the shepherds, And withered hath the top of Carmel!
൨അവൻ പറഞ്ഞത്: “യഹോവ സീയോനിൽനിന്ന് ഗർജ്ജിക്കും; യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്ന് തന്റെ നാദം കേൾപ്പിക്കും. അപ്പോൾ ഇടയന്മാരുടെ മേച്ചല്പുറങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖിക്കും; കർമ്മേലിന്റെ കൊടുമുടി വാടിപ്പോകും”.
3 And thus said Jehovah: For three transgressions of Damascus, And for four, I do not reverse it, Because of their threshing Gilead with sharp-pointed irons,
൩യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ദമാസ്കൊസിന്റെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം, അവർ ഗിലെയാദിനെ ഇരിമ്പുമെതിവണ്ടികൊണ്ട് മെതിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാൽ തന്നെ, ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളയുകയില്ല.
4 And I have sent a fire against the house of Hazael, And it hath consumed the palaces of Ben-Hadad.
൪ഞാൻ ഹസായേൽഗൃഹത്തിൽ ഒരു തീ അയയ്ക്കും; അത് ബെൻ-ഹദദിന്റെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.
5 And I have broken the bar of Damascus, And cut off the inhabitant from Bikat-Aven, And a holder of a sceptre from Beth-Eden, And removed have been the people of Aram to Kir, said Jehovah.
൫ഞാൻ ദമാസ്കൊസിന്റെ ഓടാമ്പൽ തകർത്ത്, ആവെൻതാഴ്വരയിൽനിന്ന് നിവാസിയെയും ഏദെൻഗൃഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് ചെങ്കോൽ പിടിക്കുന്നവനെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും; അരാമ്യർ ബദ്ധന്മാരായി കീരിലേക്ക് പോകേണ്ടിവരും” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
6 Thus said Jehovah: For three transgressions of Gaza, And for four, I do not reverse it, Because of their removing a complete captivity, To deliver up to Edom,
൬യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഗസ്സയുടെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം, അവർ ബദ്ധന്മാരെ മുഴുവൻ ഏദോമിന് ഏല്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന് കൊണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുകയാൽ, ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളയുകയില്ല.
7 And I have sent a fire against the wall of Gaza, And it hath consumed her palaces;
൭ഞാൻ ഗസ്സയുടെ മതിലിനകത്ത് ഒരു തീ അയയ്ക്കും; അത് അതിന്റെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.
8 And I have cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, And a holder of a sceptre from Ashkelon, And have turned back My hand against Ekron, And perished have the remnant of the Philistines, Said the Lord Jehovah.
൮ഞാൻ അസ്തോദിൽനിന്ന് നിവാസിയെയും അസ്കലോനിൽനിന്ന് ചെങ്കോൽ പിടിക്കുന്നവനെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും; എന്റെ കൈ എക്രോന്റെ നേരെ തിരിക്കും; ഫെലിസ്ത്യരിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവർ നശിച്ചുപോകും” എന്ന് യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
9 Thus said Jehovah: For three transgressions of Tyre, And for four, I do not reverse it, Because of their delivering up a complete captivity to Edom, And they remembered not the brotherly covenant,
൯യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “സോരിന്റെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം, അവർ സഹോദരസഖ്യത ഓർക്കാതെ ബദ്ധന്മാരെ മുഴുവൻ ഏദോമിന് ഏല്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുകയാൽ, ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളയുകയില്ല.
10 And I have sent a fire against the wall of Tyre, And it hath consumed her palaces.
൧൦ഞാൻ സോരിന്റെ മതിലിനകത്ത് ഒരു തീ അയയ്ക്കും; അത് അതിന്റെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും”.
11 Thus said Jehovah: For three transgressions of Edom, And for four, I do not reverse it, Because of his pursuing with a sword his brother, And he hath destroyed his mercies, And tear perpetually doth his anger, And his wrath — he hath kept it for ever,
൧൧യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഏദോമിന്റെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം, അവൻ തന്റെ സഹോദരനെ വാളോടുകൂടി പിന്തുടർന്ന്, തന്റെ കോപം സദാകാലം ജ്വലിക്കുവാൻ തക്കവിധം അനുകമ്പ വിട്ടുകളയുകയും ക്രോധം സദാകാലം വച്ചുകൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുകയാൽ, ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളയുകയില്ല.
12 And I have sent a fire against Teman, And it hath consumed palaces of Bozrah.
൧൨ഞാൻ തേമാനിൽ ഒരു തീ അയയ്ക്കും; അത് ബൊസ്രയിലെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും”.
13 Thus said Jehovah: For three transgressions of the sons of Ammon, And for four, I do not reverse it, Because of their ripping up the pregnant ones of Gilead, To enlarge their border,
൧൩യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “അമ്മോന്യരുടെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം, അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ അതിരുകൾ വിസ്താരമാക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഗിലെയാദിലെ ഗർഭിണികളെ പിളർന്നുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുകയാൽ, ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളയുകയില്ല.
14 And I have kindled a fire against the wall of Rabbah, And it hath consumed her palaces, With a shout in a day of battle, With a whirlwind in a day of hurricane,
൧൪ഞാൻ രബ്ബയുടെ മതിലിനകത്ത് ഒരു തീ കത്തിക്കും; അത് യുദ്ധദിവസത്തിലെ ആർപ്പോടും ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിന്റെ നാളിലെ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റോടുംകൂടി അതിലെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.
15 And gone hath their king in a removal, He and his heads together, said Jehovah!
൧൫അവരുടെ രാജാവ് പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്ക് പോകേണ്ടിവരും; അവനും അവന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ഒരുപോലെ തന്നെ” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
