Acts 14
1 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they did enter together into the synagogue of the Jews, and spake, so that there believed both of Jews and Greeks a great multitude;
१पौल व बर्णबा इकुन्या शहरात गेले, ते तेथील यहूदी सभास्थानात गेले, तेथील लोकांशी ते बोलले, पौल व बर्णबा अशा रीतीने बोलले की, पुष्कळ यहूदी लोकांनी व ग्रीक लोकांनी त्यांनी जे सांगितले त्यावर विश्वास ठेवला.
2 and the unbelieving Jews did stir up and made evil the souls of the nations against the brethren;
२परंतु काही यहूदी लोकांनी विश्वास ठेवला नाही, त्यांनी परराष्ट्रीय लोकांची मने भडकाविली आणि बंधुजनांविषयीची मने वाईट केली.
3 long time, indeed, therefore, did they abide speaking boldly in the Lord, who is testifying to the word of His grace, and granting signs and wonders to come to pass through their hands.
३म्हणून पौल व बर्णबाने त्याठिकाणी बरेच दिवस मुक्काम केला आणि परमेश्वराच्या बलाने येशूविषयी धैर्याने सांगत राहीले, पौल व बर्णबाने देवाच्या कृपेविषयी साक्ष दिला, परमेश्वराने त्यांना पौल व बर्णबाला चमत्कार व अद्भूते कृत्ये करण्यास मदत करून ते जे काही सांगत होते ते खरे ठरवले.
4 And the multitude of the city was divided, and some were with the Jews, and some with the apostles,
४परंतु शहरातील काही लोकांस यहूदी लोकांची मते पटली, दुसऱ्या लोकांस प्रेषित पौल व बर्णबाचे म्हणणे पटले, त्यामुळे शहरात दोन तट पडले.
5 and when there was a purpose both of the nations and of the Jews with their rulers to use [them] despitefully, and to stone them,
५काही परराष्ट्रीय लोक, काही यहूदी लोक व त्यांचे पुढारी यांनी पौल व बर्णबाला बांधले व इजा करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला, त्यांना पौल व बर्णबा यांना दगडमार करून मारावयाचे होते.
6 they having become aware, did flee to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra, and Derbe, and to the region round about,
६पौल व बर्णबा यांना जेव्हा त्याविषयी कळले तेव्हा त्यांनी ते शहर सोडले, ते लुस्र व दर्बे या लुकवनिया देशाच्या नगरात गेले आणि त्या शहरांच्या सभोवतालच्या परिसरात गेले.
7 and there they were proclaiming good news.
७आणि तेथे त्यांनी सुवार्ता सांगितली.
8 And a certain man in Lystra, impotent in the feet, was sitting, being lame from the womb of his mother — who never had walked,
८लुस्र येथे एक मनुष्य होता त्याचे पाय अधू होते तो जन्मतःच पांगळा जन्मला होता व कधीच चालला नव्हता.
9 this one was hearing Paul speaking, who, having stedfastly beheld him, and having seen that he hath faith to be saved,
९पौल भाषण करीत असताना हा मनुष्य ऐकत होता, पौलाने त्याच्याकडे दृष्टी लावून व त्यास आपण बरे होऊ असा त्या मनुष्याचा विश्वास आहे असे पाहून.
10 said with a loud voice, 'Stand up on thy feet upright;' and he was springing and walking,
१०मोठ्याने म्हणाला, “तुझ्या पायांवर नीट उभा राहा!” तेव्हा त्या मनुष्याने उडी मारली आणि चालू लागला.
11 and the multitudes having seen what Paul did, did lift up their voice, in the speech of Lycaonia, saying, 'The gods, having become like men, did come down unto us;'
११पौलाने केलेले लोकांनी जेव्हा पाहिले, तेव्हा ते आपल्या लुकवनिया भाषेत ओरडले, ते म्हणाल, “देव मनुष्यांच्या रूपाने आमच्यात उतरले आहेत.”
12 they were calling also Barnabas Zeus, and Paul Hermes, since he was the leader in speaking.
१२लोकांनी बर्णबाला ज्यूपितर म्हटले व पौलाला मर्क्युरी म्हटले, कारण पौल मुख्य बोलणारा होता.
13 And the priest of the Zeus that is before their city, oxen and garlands unto the porches having brought, with the multitudes did wish to sacrifice,
१३ज्यूपितरचे मंदिर जवळ होते, या मंदिराचा पुजारी काही बैल व फुले घेऊन वेशीजवळ आला, पुजारी व लोकांस पौल व बर्णबा यांची उपासाना करण्यासाठी त्यांच्यापुढे बळी द्यावयाचा होता.
14 and having heard, the apostles Barnabas and Paul, having rent their garments, did spring into the multitude, crying
१४परंतु ते काय करीत आहेत, हे जेव्हा प्रेषित पौल व बर्णबा यांना समजले तेव्हा त्यांनी आपले कपडे फाडले व लोकांच्या गर्दीत शिरले आणि मोठ्याने म्हणाले.
15 and saying, 'Men, why these things do ye? and we are men like-affected with you, proclaiming good news to you, from these vanities to turn unto the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all the things in them;
१५लोकांनो, या गोष्टी तुम्ही का करीत आहात? आम्ही देव नाही! तुम्हास जशा भावना आहेत, तशाच आम्हासही आहेत! आम्ही तुम्हास सुवार्ता सांगायला आलो, आम्ही तुम्हास हे सांगत आहोत की या व्यर्थ गोष्टींपासून तुम्ही तुमचे मन वळवावे, खऱ्या जिवंत देवाकडे आपले मन लावावे, त्यानेच आकाश, पृथ्वी, समुद्र व जे काही आहे ते निर्माण केले.
16 who in the past generations did suffer all the nations to go on in their ways,
१६भूतकाळात, देवाने सर्व राष्ट्रांना त्यांना जसे पाहिजे तसे वागू दिले.
17 though, indeed, without witness He did not leave himself, doing good — from heaven giving rains to us, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness;'
१७परंतु देवाने अशा गोष्टी केल्या, की त्याद्वारे तो खरा आहे हे सिद्ध व्हावे, तो तुमच्यासाठी चांगल्या गोष्टी करतो, तो तुम्हास आकाशातून पाऊस देतो, योग्यवेळी तो तुम्हास चांगले पीक देतो, तो तुम्हास भरपूर अन्न देतो व तो तुमची अंतःकरणे आनंदाने भरतो.
18 and these things saying, scarcely did they restrain the multitudes from sacrificing to them.
१८पौल व बर्णबाने या गोष्टी लोकांस सांगितल्या व मोठ्या प्रयासाने आपणास यज्ञ अर्पिण्यापासून त्याना परावृत्त केले.
19 And there came thither, from Antioch and Iconium, Jews, and they having persuaded the multitudes, and having stoned Paul, drew him outside of the city, having supposed him to be dead;
१९नंतर अंत्युखिया व इकुन्या येथील काही यहूदी लोक तेथे आले, त्यांनी लोकसमुदायाची मने आपल्या बाजूस वळविली आणि पौलाला दगडमार केला, त्यामध्ये पौल मरण पावला असे समजून त्यांनी त्यास ओढत नेऊन नगराबाहेर टाकले.
20 and the disciples having surrounded him, having risen he entered into the city, and on the morrow he went forth with Barnabas to Derbe.
२०पण शिष्य पौलाभोवती जमा झाल्यावर पौल उठून परत शहरात गेला व दुसऱ्या दिवशी बर्णबाबरोबर तो दर्बे शहरास गेले.
21 Having proclaimed good news also to that city, and having discipled many, they turned back to Lystra, and Iconium, and Antioch,
२१आणि त्या नगरात त्यांनी सुवार्ता सांगून अनेक लोकांस शिष्य केले, त्यानंतर ते लुस्र, इकुन्या आणि अंत्युखिया नगरांना परत आले.
22 confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting to remain in the faith, and that through many tribulations it behoveth us to enter into the reign of God,
२२आणि त्यांनी तेथील शिष्यांना येशूवरील विश्वासात बळकट केले, त्यांनी आपल्या विश्वासांत अढळ रहावे म्हणून उत्तेजन दिले, ते म्हणाले, “अनेक दुःखांना तोंड देत आपण देवाच्या राज्यात प्रवेश केला पाहिजे.”
23 and having appointed to them by vote elders in every assembly, having prayed with fastings, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
२३पौल व बर्णबाने प्रत्येक मंडळीत वडीलजनांची नेमणूक केली, त्यांनी या वडिलांसाठी उपवास आणि प्रार्थना केल्या, प्रभू येशूवर विश्वास असलेले असे सर्व वडीलजन होते म्हणून पौलाने व बर्णबाने त्यांना प्रभूच्या हाती सोपवले.
24 And having passed through Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia,
२४पौल आणि बर्णबा पिसिदिया प्रदेशातून गेले नंतर ते पंफुलिया येथे आले.
25 and having spoken in Perga the word, they went down to Attalia,
२५त्यांनी पिर्गा शहरात देवाचा संदेश दिला नंतर ते अत्तलिया शहरात गेले.
26 and thence did sail to Antioch, whence they had been given by the grace of God for the work that they fulfilled;
२६नंतर तेथून पुढे पौल व बर्णबा सिरीया प्रांतातील अंत्युखियात समुद्रमार्गे गेले, जे काम त्यांनी पूर्ण केले होते त्याची सुरुवात त्यांनी देवाच्या कृपेने अंत्युखियापासूनच केली होती.
27 and having come and gathered together the assembly, they declared as many things as God did with them, and that He did open to the nations a door of faith;
२७ते जेव्हा तेथे पोहोचले, तेव्हा त्यांनी मंडळीला एकत्र बोलावले आणि देवाने त्यांच्याबाबतीत ज्या ज्या गोष्टी केल्या त्या त्यांना सांगितल्या तसेच दुसऱ्या देशातील परराष्ट्रीय लोकांमध्ये देवाने विश्वासाचे द्वार कसे उघडले ते सांगितले.
28 and they abode there not a little time with the disciples.
२८नंतर ते विश्वास ठेवणाऱ्यांबरोबर तेथे बरेच दिवस राहिले.
