2 Timothy 4
1 I do fully testify, then, before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is about to judge living and dead at his manifestation and his reign —
Os ordeno, pues, delante de Dios y del Señor Jesucristo, que juzgará a los vivos y a los muertos en su aparición y en su Reino:
2 preach the word; be earnest in season, out of season, convict, rebuke, exhort, in all long-suffering and teaching,
predicad la palabra; urgid a tiempo y a destiempo; reprended, reprended y exhortad con toda paciencia y enseñanza.
3 for there shall be a season when the sound teaching they will not suffer, but according to their own desires to themselves they shall heap up teachers — itching in the hearing,
Porque vendrá el tiempo en que no escucharán la sana doctrina, sino que, teniendo comezón de oír, se amontonarán maestros según sus propias concupiscencias,
4 and indeed, from the truth the hearing they shall turn away, and to the fables they shall be turned aside.
y apartarán sus oídos de la verdad y se volverán a las fábulas.
5 And thou — watch in all things; suffer evil; do the work of one proclaiming good news; of thy ministration make full assurance,
Pero tú sé sobrio en todo, sufre penalidades, haz la obra de un evangelista y cumple tu ministerio.
6 for I am already being poured out, and the time of my release hath arrived;
Porque ya me han ofrecido, y ha llegado el momento de mi partida.
7 the good strife I have striven, the course I have finished, the faith I have kept,
He librado el buen combate. He terminado el curso. He mantenido la fe.
8 henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of the righteousness that the Lord — the Righteous Judge — shall give to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those loving his manifestation.
Desde ahora me está reservada la corona de la justicia, que el Señor, el juez justo, me dará en aquel día; y no sólo a mí, sino también a todos los que han amado su aparición.
9 Be diligent to come unto me quickly,
Procura venir pronto a verme,
10 for Demas forsook me, having loved the present age, and went on to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia, (aiōn g165)
porque Demas me ha dejado, amando este mundo presente, y se ha ido a Tesalónica; Crescens, a Galacia; y Tito, a Dalmacia. (aiōn g165)
11 Lukas only is with me; Markus having taken, bring with thyself, for he is profitable to me for ministration;
Sólo Lucas está conmigo. Toma a Marcos y tráelo contigo, porque me es útil para el servicio.
12 and Tychicus I sent to Ephesus;
Pero he enviado a Tíquico a Éfeso.
13 the cloak that I left in Troas with Carpus, coming, bring thou and the books — especially the parchments.
Trae cuando vengas el manto que dejé en Troas con Carpo, y los libros, especialmente los pergaminos.
14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil; may the Lord repay to him according to his works,
Alejandro el calderero me hizo mucho mal. El Señor le pagará según sus actos.
15 of whom also do thou beware, for greatly hath he stood against our words;
Tengan cuidado con él, porque se opuso mucho a nuestras palabras.
16 in my first defence no one stood with me, but all forsook me, (may it not be reckoned to them!)
En mi primera defensa, nadie vino a ayudarme, sino que todos me abandonaron. Que no se les eche en cara.
17 and the Lord stood by me, and did strengthen me, that through me the preaching might be fully assured, and all the nations might hear, and I was freed out of the mouth of a lion,
Pero el Señor se mantuvo a mi lado y me fortaleció, para que por medio de mí se proclamara plenamente el mensaje y lo escucharan todos los gentiles. Así fui librado de la boca del león.
18 and the Lord shall free me from every evil work, and shall save [me] — to his heavenly kingdom; to whom [is] the glory to the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)
Y el Señor me librará de toda obra mala y me preservará para su Reino celestial. A él sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén. (aiōn g165)
19 Salute Prisca and Aquilas, and Onesiphorus' household;

20 Erastus did remain in Corinth, and Trophimus I left in Miletus infirm;
Erasto se quedó en Corinto, pero dejé a Trófimo en Mileto enfermo.
21 be diligent to come before winter. Salute thee doth Eubulus, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
Procura venir antes del invierno. Te saluda Eubulo, así como Pudente, Lino, Claudia y todos los hermanos.
22 The Lord Jesus Christ [is] with thy spirit; the grace [is] with you! Amen.
El Señor Jesucristo esté con tu espíritu. La gracia sea contigo. Amén.
