< 2 Samuel 16 >
1 And David hath passed on a little from the top, and lo, Ziba, servant of Mephibosheth — to meet him, and a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves, and a hundred bunches of raisins, and a hundred [of] summer-fruit, and a bottle of wine.

2 And the king saith unto Ziba, 'What — these to thee?' and Ziba saith, 'The asses for the household of the king to ride on, and the bread and the summer-fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for the wearied to drink in the wilderness.'
Hichun David lengpan Ziba chu hitin ana dong in, “Ipi dinga thil hi jatpi hi nahin poh hitam?” atileh; Ziban jong adonbut’in, “Sangan teni hi lengpa insung mite touna ding ahin, chule changlhah le nipi lai theiga hi sepai te neh ding ahin; chutengle lengpi twi hi gamthip laiya dangchah a thacholho don ding ahi,” ati.
3 And the king saith, 'And where [is] the son of thy lord?' and Ziba saith unto the king, 'Lo, he is abiding in Jerusalem, for he said, To-day do the house of Israel give back to me the kingdom of my father.'
Chuphat’in David lengpan adongpai in, “Napu tupa Mephibosheth chu hoiya ba um hitam?” atia ahileh; Ziban lengpa koma chun hitin asei e, “Vetan, ama chu tuni gei in Jerusalema aum jing nalaiye, chule keiman tunia hi kapupa Saul lenggam chu kale lah ding ahi ati.
4 And the king saith to Ziba, 'Lo, thine [are] all that Mephibosheth hath;' and Ziba saith, 'I have bowed myself — I find grace in thine eyes, my lord, O king.'
Chuin Ziba koma chun lengpan aseikit’in, “Ven, Mephibosheth thil le nei jouse chu aboncha tua hi nang na chan ding ahitai,” atipeh-e. Chutah chun Ziban jong asei pei jeng in, “Keiman nang kaja bol nahi, nei mu chan in kachunga lung lhai jing jengin, kapu kaleng pa,” ati.
5 And king David hath come in unto Bahurim, and lo, thence a man is coming out, of the family of the house of Saul, and his name [is] Shimei, son of Gera, he cometh out, coming out and reviling;
Chule David chun Bahurim kho ahin phah phat’in Saul insung mi pasal khat ahung pot doh in, ama chu amin Shimei ahin, Gera chapa ahi; ahung pot doh in alamjot toh gaosap ahinkop in ahi.
6 and he stoneth David with stones, and all the servants of king David, and all the people, and all the mighty men on his right and on his left.
Chujongle song alan David ahin, asepai jalamte ahin, chule ajet avei a mihat kigol ho jouse jong chu songin asep tan ahi.
7 And thus said Shimei in his reviling, 'Go out, go out, O man of blood, and man of worthlessness!
Hitichun ami gaosap pum pum in Shimei chun asei in, “Chemang loiyin, chemang loiyin nangma thisan so hat le hindan helou mi nahi tin David henglam a chun asam tan ahi.
8 Jehovah hath turned back on thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned, and Jehovah doth give the kingdom in to the hand of Absalom thy son; and lo, thou [art] in thine evil, for a man of blood thou [art].'
Pakaiyin Saul insung mite thisan chu nachunga ahinle lhunsah ahitai. Nangman ama lenggam chu nanaguh ahin, chule tuahi Pakaiyin nachapa Absalom khut a apeh doh ahitai. Nangma thisan sohat nahiyeh a, nathemmo nachu nachung mama chu ahitai ati
9 And Abishai son of Zeruiah saith unto the king, 'Why doth this dead dog revile my lord the king? let me pass over, I pray thee, and I turn aside his head.'
Chuphat’in Zeruiah chapa Abishai chun lengpa koma hitin asei e, “Ipi dinga hiche uithisa hin kapu lengpa hitia agao sap sap jeng ham? Neisol’in lang alol ga tan inge,” atileh;
10 And the king saith, 'What — to me and to you, O sons of Zeruiah? for — let him revile; even because Jehovah hath said to him, Revile David; and who saith, Wherefore hast Thou done so?'
Lengpan jong aphoh in, “Zeruiah chapate Nangho kon nadoh beh uvem? Pakaiyin ajah a aseipih a keihi gaosap in atileh, nang koi nahija ama chu nakham ding ham ati.
11 And David saith unto Abishai, and unto all his servants, 'Lo, my son who came out of my bowels is seeking my life, and also surely now the Benjamite; leave him alone, and let him revile, for Jehovah hath said [so] to him;
Chujong le David chun Abishai le asoh te jouse koma hitin asei e, “Vetan, keima chapa mong mong in bon tha dinga eihola ahi leh, hiche Saul sopipa hin iti abolda thei ding ham! Hijeh chun don dau vin lang gao sap sah sah jeng tauvin; ajeh chu Pakaiyin bollin tia asei peh ahi.
12 it may be Jehovah doth look on mine affliction, and Jehovah hath turned back to me good for his reviling this day.'
Ijem itileh Pakaiyin ka genthei hesoh nahi eivet peh in tin, tunia eiki gaosap najeh a Pakaiyin keima dinga thilpha eibol peh theijoh ding ahi,” ati.
13 And David goeth with his men in the way, and Shimei is going at the side of the hill over-against him, going on, and he revileth, and stoneth with stones over-against him, and hath dusted with dust.
Chuti chun David le amite chu lampia achepeh uvin; Shimei jong chu David chutoh kigal mupeh in thinglhang jui jui'a a che peh in agao sap sap jeng e; chule amaho chun David chu song le lei vui in jong asep’uvin ahi.
14 And the king cometh in, and all the people who [are] with him, wearied, and they are refreshed there.
Chuin David lengpa le alhonpi mipi hochu abonchauvin athachol lheh taovin hichun Jordan vadung agei un abon uvin akichol un ahi.
15 And Absalom and all the people, the men of Israel, have come in to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him,
Chutah chun Absalom le Israel mite jouse jong chu Jerusalem a ahung uvin, Ahithophel kitipa chun Absalom ahin lhon pin ahi.
16 and it cometh to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, hath come unto Absalom, that Hushai saith unto Absalom, 'Let the king live! let the king live!'
Chuin David golpa Hushai Arkit mipa chu ahung lhun lhun in Absalom koma achipei in, ‘Hingsot in lengpa, lengpa hingsot in! tin ahin sam tai.
17 And Absalom saith unto Hushai, 'This thy kindness with thy friend! why hast thou not gone with thy friend?'
Chutah chun Absalom in jong Hushai koma chun hitin asei e, “Hitia hi na golpa David chu nabol mong ding ham? Etidan a amatoh dingkhom lou nahim? tin adong tai.
18 And Hushai saith unto Absalom, 'Nay, for he whom Jehovah hath chosen, and this people, even all the men of Israel, his I am, and with him I abide;
Ahin Hushai chun Absalom koma asei kit’in, “Ahipoi, koi koi hijeng jong le Pakai le hiche Israel miten abonchauva alhen doh pen pen chu kei jong ama a chu kahi jeng in, ama chutoh keima kalhat khom jing ding ahibou‘ve ati.
19 and secondly, for whom do I labour? is it not before his son? as I served before thy father so am I before thee.'
Chujong le keiman koi dang kin kabol ding ham? Lengpa chapa kin bola kapan teitei ding hilou ham? Keiman napa na kana toh bang bang a tua nangma na jong katoh ding ahi,” ati tai.
20 And Absalom saith unto Ahithophel, 'Give for you counsel what we do.'
Hichun Absalom chun Ahithophel adongin, “Nalung gel temin, ipi aban kabol ding hitam?” ati.
21 And Ahithophel saith unto Absalom, 'Go in unto the concubines of thy father, whom he left to keep the house, and all Israel hath heard that thou hast been abhorred by thy father, and the hands of all who [are] with thee have been strong.'
Hichun Ahithophel jong chun Absalom asei peh in, “Napan in ngah dinga adalhah athaikem ho koma khun ga lut in lang galup pin; chutileh Israel pum pin nangma hi napa dou mah lamtah a kisa nahi tai, ti hin jadoh-uvintin, chuti le amahon nangma nahin jop soh kei diu ahi,” ati peh e.
22 And they spread out for Absalom the tent on the roof, and Absalom goeth in unto the concubines of his father before the eyes of all Israel.
Hichun mihon Absalom dingin inchungah pon buh ason peh’un, chuin Absalom chu Israel mite pumpi mitmu lai tah in apa thaikem ho koma alut jengin aluppi tan ahi.
23 And the counsel of Ahithophel which he counselled in those days [is] as [when] one inquireth at the word of God; so [is] all the counsel of Ahithophel both to David and to Absalom.
Hiche lai a Ahithophel kitipan mi athumop tapou chu Pathen kamcheng tah a hungsoh banga anagel u ahi hitobang jeh a hi Absalom in Ahithophel thumop chu David in anabol banga anajui ahi.
