2 Kings 20
1 In those days hath Hezekiah been sick unto death, and come unto him doth Isaiah son of Amoz the prophet, and saith unto him, 'Thus said Jehovah: Give a charge to thy house, for thou art dying, and dost not live.'
১সেই দিনের হিষ্কিয় খুব অসুস্থ হয়েছিলেন। তখন আমোসের ছেলে যিশাইয় ভাববাদী তাঁর কাছে গেলেন এবং তাঁকে বললেন, “সদাপ্রভু বলছেন যে, ‘তুমি তোমার বাড়ির ব্যবস্থা করে রাখ, কারণ তোমার মৃত্যু হবে, বাঁচবে না’।”
2 And he turneth round his face unto the wall, and prayeth unto Jehovah, saying,
২তখন হিষ্কিয় দেয়ালের দিকে মুখ ফেরালেন এবং সদাপ্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করে বললেন,
3 'I pray Thee, O Jehovah, remember, I pray Thee, how I have walked habitually before Thee in truth, and with a perfect heart, and that which [is] good in Thine eyes I have done;' and Hezekiah weepeth — a great weeping.
৩“হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি স্মরণ করে দেখ আমি তোমার সামনে কেমন বিশ্বস্তভাবে ও সমস্ত হৃদয় দিয়ে চলেছি এবং তোমার চোখে যা কিছু ভালো তাই করেছি।” এবং হিষ্কিয় খুব কাঁদলেন।
4 And it cometh to pass — Isaiah hath not gone out to the middle court — that the word of Jehovah hath been unto him, saying,
৪যিশাইয় বের হয়ে রাজবাড়ীর মাঝখানের উঠান পার হয়ে যাওয়ার আগেই সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য তাঁর কাছে প্রকাশিত হল, বললেন,
5 'Turn back, and thou hast said unto Hezekiah, leader of My people: Thus said Jehovah, God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tear, lo, I give healing to thee, on the third day thou dost go up to the house of Jehovah;
৫“তুমি ফিরে যাও এবং আমার লোকদের নেতা হিষ্কিয়কে বল যে, তার পূর্বপুরুষ দায়ূদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেছেন, ‘আমি তোমার প্রার্থনা শুনেছি ও তোমার চোখের জল দেখেছি। আমি তোমাকে তৃতীয় দিনের সুস্থ করব এবং তুমি সদাপ্রভুর গৃহে যাবে।
6 and I have added to thy days fifteen years, and out of the hand of the king of Asshur I deliver thee and this city, and have covered over this city for Mine own sake, and for the sake of David My servant.'
৬আমি তোমার আয়ু আরও পনেরো বছর বাড়িয়ে দেব এবং আমি অশূর রাজার হাত থেকে তোমাকে এবং এই শহরকে উদ্ধার করব। আমার জন্য ও আমার দাস দায়ূদের জন্য আমি এই শহরকে রক্ষা করব’।”
7 And Isaiah saith, 'Take ye a cake of figs;' and they take and lay [it] on the boil, and he reviveth.
৭ফলে যিশাইয় বললেন, “ডুমুর ফলের একটা চাক নিয়ে এস।” লোকেরা তা এনে হিষ্কিয়ের ফোড়ার উপরে দিল এবং তিনি সুস্থ হলেন।
8 And Hezekiah saith unto Isaiah, 'What [is] the sign that Jehovah doth give healing to me, that I have gone up on the third day to the house of Jehovah?'
৮হিষ্কিয় যিশাইয়কে বলেছিলেন যে, “সদাপ্রভু আমাকে সুস্থ করবেন এবং এখন থেকে তৃতীয় দিনের আমি যে সদাপ্রভুর গৃহে যাব তার চিহ্ন কি?”
9 And Isaiah saith, 'This [is] to thee the sign from Jehovah, that Jehovah doth the thing that He hath spoken — The shadow hath gone on ten degrees, or it doth turn back ten degrees?'
৯যিশাইয় উত্তর দিয়ে বলেছিলেন, “সদাপ্রভু যে তাঁর প্রতিজ্ঞা রক্ষা করবেন তার জন্য তিনি আপনাকে জন্য একটি চিহ্ন দেবেন। ছায়া কি দশ ধাপ এগিয়ে যাবে, না দশ ধাপ পিছিয়ে যাবে?”
10 And Hezekiah saith, 'It hath been light for the shadow to incline ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow turn backward ten degrees.'
১০হিষ্কিয় উত্তর দিয়ে বলেছিলেন, “ছায়াটি দশ ধাপ এগিয়ে যাওয়াটাই সহজ ব্যাপার। না, ছায়াটি দশ ধাপ পিছিয়ে যাক।”
11 And Isaiah the prophet calleth unto Jehovah, and He bringeth back the shadow by the degrees that it had gone down in the degrees of Ahaz — backward ten degrees.
১১তখন যিশাইয় ভাববাদী সদাপ্রভুকে চীত্কার করে ডাকলেন। এবং তাতে আহসের সিঁড়ি থেকে ছায়াটা যেখানে ছিল সেখান থেকে দশ ধাপ পিছিয়ে পড়েছিল।
12 At that time hath Berodach-Baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah, for he heard that Hezekiah had been sick;
১২সেই দিনের বলদনের ছেলে বাবিলের রাজা বরোদক্বলদন্ হিষ্কিয়ের কাছে চিঠি ও উপহার পাঠিয়ে দিলেন, কারণ তিনি শুনেছিলেন যে হিষ্কিয় অসুস্থ ছিলেন।
13 and Hezekiah hearkeneth unto them, and sheweth them all the house of his treasury, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the good ointment, and all the house of his vessels, and all that hath been found in his treasuries; there hath not been a thing that Hezekiah hath not shewed them, in his house, and in all his dominion.
১৩হিষ্কিয় সেই চিঠিগুলি গ্রহণ করলেন এবং তাঁর সব ভান্ডারগুলোতে যা মূল্যবান বস্তু ছিল, অর্থাৎ সোনা, রূপা, সুগন্ধি মশলা, দামী তেল এবং তাঁর অস্ত্রশস্ত্রের ভান্ডার ও ধনভান্ডারে যা কিছু ছিল সব সেই দূতদের দেখালেন। হিষ্কিয়ের রাজবাড়ীতে কিম্বা তাঁর সারা রাজ্যে এমন কিছু ছিল না যা তিনি তাদের দেখান নি।
14 And Isaiah the prophet cometh in unto king Hezekiah, and saith unto him, 'What said these men? and whence come they unto thee?' And Hezekiah saith, 'From a land afar off they have come — from Babylon.'
১৪তখন যিশাইয় ভাববাদী রাজা হিষ্কিয়ের কাছে আসলেন এবং তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “এই লোকগুলি আপনাকে কি বলল? কোথা থেকেই বা তারা আপনার কাছে এসেছিল?” হিষ্কিয় বললেন, “ওরা দূর দেশ থেকে, বাবিল থেকে এসেছিল।”
15 And he saith, 'What saw they in thy house?' and Hezekiah saith, 'All that [is] in my house they saw; there hath not been a thing that I have not shewed them among my treasures.'
১৫যিশাইয় জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “তারা আপনার রাজবাড়ীর মধ্যে কি কি দেখেছে?” হিষ্কিয় উত্তর দিয়ে বললেন, “তারা আমার রাজবাড়ীর সব কিছুই দেখেছে। আমার ধনভান্ডারের এমন কিছু মূল্যবান জিনিস নেই যা আমি তাদের দেখায়নি।”
16 And Isaiah saith unto Hezekiah, 'Hear a word of Jehovah:
১৬অতএব যিশাইয় হিষ্কিয়কে বললেন, “সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য শুনুন।
17 Lo, days are coming, and borne hath been all that [is] in thy house, and that thy father have treasured up till this day, to Babylon; there is not left a thing, said Jehovah;
১৭দেখো, এমন দিন আসছে যে, যখন আপনার রাজবাড়ীর সব কিছু এবং আপনার পূর্বপুরুষরা যা কিছু আজ পর্যন্ত জমিয়ে রেখেছে সবই বাবিলে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে, কিছুই পড়ে থাকবে না, এটি সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
18 and of thy sons who go out from thee, whom thou begettest, they take away, and they have been eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'
১৮এবং আপনার নিজের সন্তান, কয়েকজন বংশধর, যাদের আপনি জন্ম দিয়েছেন তাদের মধ্য থেকে কয়েকজনকে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে এবং তারা বাবিলের রাজাবাড়ীতে নপুংসক হয়ে থাকবে।”
19 And Hezekiah saith unto Isaiah, 'Good [is] the word of Jehovah that thou hast spoken;' and he saith, 'Is it not — if peace and truth are in my days?'
১৯তখন উত্তর দিয়ে হিষ্কিয় যিশাইয়কে বললেন, “সদাপ্রভুর কথা যা আপনি বললেন, তা ভাল।” কারণ তিনি ভেবেছিলেন যে, যদি আমার দিনের শান্তি ও সত্য হয়, তবে সেটা কি ভাল নয়?
20 And the rest of the matters of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and bringeth in the waters to the city, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?
২০হিষ্কিয়ের অন্যান্য বাকি সমস্ত কাজের কথা এবং সব শক্তি এবং কেমন করে তিনি পুকুর ও সুড়ঙ্গ কেটেছিলেন ও শহরে জল নিয়ে এসেছিলেন সেগুলি কি যিহূদার রাজাদের ইতিহাস নামে বইটিতে লেখা নেই?
21 And Hezekiah lieth with his fathers, and reign doth Manasseh his son in his stead.
২১হিষ্কিয় তাঁর পূর্বপুরুষদের সঙ্গে নিদ্রাগত হলেন এবং তাঁর ছেলে মনঃশি তাঁর জায়গায় রাজা হলেন।
