2 Corinthians 5
1 For we have known that if our earthly house of the tabernacle may be thrown down, a building from God we have, an house not made with hands — age-during — in the heavens, (aiōnios g166)
Pois sabemos que se a casa terrestre de nossa tenda for dissolvida, temos um edifício de Deus, uma casa não feita com as mãos, eterna, nos céus. (aiōnios g166)
2 for also in this we groan, with our dwelling that is from heaven earnestly desiring to clothe ourselves,
Pois com toda certeza, neste gemido, desejamos ser revestidos com nossa habitação que é do céu,
3 if so be that, having clothed ourselves, we shall not be found naked,
se de fato formos revestidos, não seremos encontrados nus.
4 for we also who are in the tabernacle do groan, being burdened, seeing we wish not to unclothe ourselves, but to clothe ourselves, that the mortal may be swallowed up of the life.
Pois de fato nós que estamos nesta tenda gememos, sendo sobrecarregados, não que desejemos ser despidos, mas que desejemos ser revestidos, que o que é mortal possa ser engolido pela vida.
5 And He who did work us to this self-same thing [is] God, who also did give to us the earnest of the Spirit;
Agora aquele que nos fez para isto mesmo é Deus, que também nos deu a entrada do Espírito.
6 having courage, then, at all times, and knowing that being at home in the body, we are away from home from the Lord, —
Portanto, estamos sempre confiantes e sabemos que, enquanto estamos em casa no corpo, estamos ausentes do Senhor;
7 for through faith we walk, not through sight —
pois caminhamos pela fé, não pela vista.
8 we have courage, and are well pleased rather to be away from the home of the body, and to be at home with the Lord.
Somos corajosos, digo eu, e estamos dispostos a estar ausentes do corpo e a estar em casa com o Senhor.
9 Wherefore also we are ambitious, whether at home or away from home, to be well pleasing to him,
Portanto, também fazemos nosso objetivo, seja em casa ou ausente, de sermos bem agradáveis a Ele.
10 for all of us it behoveth to be manifested before the tribunal of the Christ, that each one may receive the things [done] through the body, in reference to the things that he did, whether good or evil;
Pois todos nós devemos ser revelados diante do tribunal de Cristo que cada um pode receber as coisas no corpo de acordo com o que fez, seja bom ou mau.
11 having known, therefore, the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, and to God we are manifested, and I hope also in your consciences to have been manifested;
Conhecendo portanto o temor do Senhor, persuadimos os homens, mas somos revelados a Deus, e espero que sejamos revelados também em suas consciências.
12 for not again ourselves do we recommend to you, but we are giving occasion to you of glorifying in our behalf, that ye may have [something] in reference to those glorifying in face and not in heart;
Pois não nos recomendamos novamente a vocês, mas falamos como dando-lhes ocasião de se vangloriar em nosso favor, para que tenham algo a responder àqueles que se vangloriam na aparência e não no coração.
13 for whether we were beside ourselves, [it was] to God; whether we be of sound mind — [it is] to you,
Pois se estamos fora de nós mesmos, é para Deus. Ou se somos de mente sóbria, é para você.
14 for the love of the Christ doth constrain us, having judged thus: that if one for all died, then the whole died,
Pelo amor de Cristo nos compele; porque julgamos assim: que um morreu por todos, portanto todos morreram.
15 and for all he died, that those living, no more to themselves may live, but to him who died for them, and was raised again.
Ele morreu por todos, para que aqueles que vivem não vivam mais para si mesmos, mas para aquele que, por amor deles, morreu e ressuscitou.
16 So that we henceforth have known no one according to the flesh, and even if we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him no more;
Portanto, não conhecemos ninguém de acordo com a carne a partir de agora. Mesmo tendo conhecido Cristo segundo a carne, agora já não o conhecemos mais.
17 so that if any one [is] in Christ — [he is] a new creature; the old things did pass away, lo, become new have the all things.
Portanto, se alguém está em Cristo, ele é uma nova criação. As coisas velhas já passaram. Eis que todas as coisas se tornaram novas.
18 And the all things [are] of God, who reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and did give to us the ministration of the reconciliation,
Mas todas as coisas são de Deus, que nos reconciliou consigo mesmo através de Jesus Cristo, e nos deu o ministério da reconciliação;
19 how that God was in Christ — a world reconciling to Himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses; and having put in us the word of the reconciliation,
isto é, que Deus estava em Cristo reconciliando o mundo consigo mesmo, não contando a eles suas ofensas, e tendo-nos cometido a palavra da reconciliação.
20 in behalf of Christ, then, we are ambassadors, as if God were calling through us, we beseech, in behalf of Christ, 'Be ye reconciled to God;'
Portanto, somos embaixadores em nome de Cristo, como se Deus estivesse implorando por nós: suplicamos em nome de Cristo, reconciliem-se com Deus.
21 for him who did not know sin, in our behalf He did make sin, that we may become the righteousness of God in him.
Por Aquele que não conheceu nenhum pecado que ele fez para ser pecado em nosso favor, para que nele possamos nos tornar a justiça de Deus.
