< 2 Corinthians 2 >
1 And I decided this to myself, not again to come in sorrow unto you,
Palungsethaih hoiah nangcae khae kang zoh let han ai boeh, tiah lok ka takroek boeh.
2 for if I make you sorry, then who is he who is making me glad, except he who is made sorry by me?
Nangcae palung kang set o sak ving nahaeloe, palung ka setsak ih kaminawk mah ai ah loe, mi mah maw kai palung anghoesak tih?
3 and I wrote to you this same thing, that having come, I may not have sorrow from them of whom it behoved me to have joy, having confidence in you all, that my joy is of you all,
Kang hoehaih loe nangcae boih anghoehaih ah oh, tiah oephaih ka tawnh, kang zoh naah, kai anghoesak kaminawk khae hoiah palungsethaih ka hnuk moeng han ai ah to tiah ca kang tarik o.
4 for out of much tribulation and pressure of heart I wrote to you through many tears, not that ye might be made sorry, but that ye might know the love that I have more abundantly toward you.
Nangcae nuiah kating ai amlunghaih ka tawnh, tiah na panoek o moe, palung na set o han ai ih ni patangkhanghaih, poek amtanghaih, paroeai mikkhraetui krakhaih hoiah ca kang tarik o.
5 And if any one hath caused sorrow, he hath not caused sorrow to me, but in part, that I may not burden you all;
Nangcae thung ih kami maeto mah palung saesak nahaeloe, anih mah kai palung na saesak ai, nangcae thung ih thoemto kaminawk mah ni palung ang set o sak: nangcae raihaih tongsak han ka koeh ai.
6 sufficient to such a one is this punishment, that [is] by the more part,
Kapop kami mah khaeh ih lok baktiah ni kami maeto mah sakpazae ih hmuen pongah danpaek han oh.
7 so that, on the contrary, [it is] rather for you to forgive and to comfort, lest by over abundant sorrow such a one may be swallowed up;
Palungsethaih mah pazawk hmoek han ai ah, to baktih zaehaih sah kami to buenglueng tamlet ah na tahmen o moe, na pathloep o lat han oh.
8 wherefore, I call upon you to confirm love to him,
To pongah anih na palunghaih to tangtang ah amtuengsak hanah kang pacae o.
9 for, for this also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether in regard to all things ye are obedient.
Hmuen boih ah ka thuih ih lok baktiah na sak o maw sah ai, tiah panoek hanah hae ca hae kang tarik o.
10 And to whom ye forgive anything — I also; for I also, if I have forgiven anything, to whom I have forgiven [it], because of you — in the person of Christ — [I forgive it, ]
Zaehaih na tahmen o ih kami to, kaimah doeh ka tahmen toeng: kawbaktih zaehaih doeh ka tahmen nahaeloe, nangcae rang hoiah ni Kri ah ka tahmen:
11 that we may not be over-reached by the Adversary, for of his devices we are not ignorant.
to tih ai nahaeloe Setan mah aicae pazawk moeng tih: aicae loe anih pacaenghaih panoek kami ah ni a oh o.
12 And having come to Troas for the good news of the Christ, and a door to me having been opened in the Lord,
Kri tamthanglok hoih thuih hanah Troas vangpui ah ka caeh naah, Angraeng mah kai hanah loklam ang paongh pae,
13 I have not had rest to my spirit, on my not finding Titus my brother, but having taken leave of them, I went forth to Macedonia;
kam nawk Titu to ka hnu ai pongah, poek monghaih roe ka tawn ai: to pongah kalah hnukbang kaminawk to ka caehtaak moe, kaimah loe Macedonia prae ah ka caeh.
14 and to God [are] thanks, who at all times is leading us in triumph in the Christ, and the fragrance of His knowledge He is manifesting through us in every place,
Anih panoekhaih loe hmuihoih ah oh moe, ahmuen kruekah Kri panoekhaih pungsak hanah, Sithaw mah aicae abom pongah, vaihi Kri ah aicae han taahaih hnusakkung, Sithaw khaeah oephaih om nasoe.
15 because of Christ a sweet fragrance we are to God, in those being saved, and in those being lost;
Pahlong kaminawk hoi kanghmaa kaminawk hanah, aicae loe Sithaw khaeah Kri ih hmuihoih ah ni a oh o:
16 to the one, indeed, a fragrance of death to death, and to the other, a fragrance of life to life; and for these things who is sufficient?
aicae loe anghmaa kami maeto hanah duek khoek to duekhaih hmuihoih ah a oh o, kalah pahlong kaminawk hanah loe hinghaih paekkung hinghaih hmuihoih ah a oh o. To tih nahaeloe hae hmuen hoiah akoep kami mi maw kaom?
17 for we are not as the many, adulterating the word of God, but as of sincerity — but as of God; in the presence of God, in Christ we do speak.
Aicae loe Sithaw ih lok amrosak, pop parai kaminawk baktiah a om o ai: palung angpaekhaih hoiah Sithaw koehhaih baktiah ni, Sithaw hmaa ah Kri tamthanglok to a thuih o.
