2 Chronicles 36
1 And the people of the land take Jehoahaz son of Josiah, and cause him to reign instead of his father in Jerusalem.
Dân sự của xứ bèn lập Giô-a-cha, con trai Giô-si-a, làm vua thay vì cha người tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
2 A son of three and twenty years [is] Jehoahaz in his reigning, and three months he hath reigned in Jerusalem,
Giô-a-cha được hai mươi ba tuổi khi lên ngôi làm vua, và cai trị ba tháng tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
3 and turn him aside doth the king of Egypt in Jerusalem, and fineth the land a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold;
Vua Ê-díp-tô truất ngôi người tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, và bắt vạ xứ một trăm ta lâng bạc và một ta lâng vàng.
4 and the king of Egypt causeth Eliakim his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem, and turneth his name to Jehoiakim; and Jehoahaz his brother hath Necho taken, and bringeth him in to Egypt.
Đoạn, vua Ê-díp-tô lập Ê-li-a-kim, em Giô-a-cha, làm vua của Giu-đa và Giê-ru-sa-lem, và đổi tên người ra là Giê-hô-gia-kim. Nê-cô bắt Giô-a-cha, anh của Giê-hô-gia-kim, đem người về xứ Ê-díp-tô.
5 A son of twenty and five years [is] Jehoiakim in his reigning, and eleven years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah his God;
Giê-hô-gia-kim được hai mươi lăm tuổi khi người lên ngôi làm vua; người cai trị mười một năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, và làm điều ác trước mặt Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của người.
6 against him hath Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon come up, and bindeth him in brazen fetters to take him away to Babylon.
Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, vua Ba-by-lôn, đi lên hãm đánh người, xiềng người lại, và dẫn người qua Ba-by-lôn.
7 And of the vessels of the house of Jehovah hath Nebuchadnezzar brought in to Babylon, and putteth them in his temple in Babylon.
Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa cũng đoạt lấy đem về Ba-by-lôn những khí dụng của đền Đức Giê-hô-va, rồi để vào trong miễu người tại Ba-by-lôn.
8 And the rest of the matters of Jehoiakim, and his abominations that he hath done, and that which is found against him, lo, they are written on the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, and reign doth Jehoiachin his son in his stead.
Các công việc khác của Giê-hô-gia-kim những sự gớm ghiếc người đã làm, và sự đã tìm được trong lòng người, thảy đều chép trong sách các vua Y-sơ-ra-ên và Giu-đa. Giê-hô-gia-kin, con trai người, cai trị thế cho người.
9 A son of eight years is Jehoiachin in his reigning, and three months and ten days he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah;
Giê-hô-gia-kin được mười tám tuổi khi người lên ngôi làm vua, và cai trị ba tháng mười ngày tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Người làm điều ác tại trước mặt Đức Giê-hô-va.
10 and at the turn of the year hath king Nebuchadnezzar sent and bringeth him in to Babylon, with the desirable vessels of the house of Jehovah, and causeth Zedekiah his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem.
Sang đầu năm, vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa sai bắt người dẫn về Ba-by-lôn, cùng đoạt lấy đem về các vật tốt đẹp của đền Đức Giê-hô-va, rồi lập Sê-đê-kia, em người, làm vua Giu-đa và Giê-ru-sa-lem.
11 A son of twenty and one years [is] Zedekiah in his reigning, and eleven years he hath reigned in Jerusalem;
Sê-đê-kia được hai mươi mốt tuổi, khi người lên ngôi làm vua, và cai trị mười một năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
12 and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah his God, he hath not been humbled before Jeremiah the prophet [speaking] from the mouth of Jehovah;
Người làm điều ác trước mặt Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của người, không hạ mình xuống trước mặt Giê-rê-mi, là đấng tiên tri vâng mạng Đức Giê-hô-va mà khuyên bảo người.
13 and also, against king Nebuchadnezzar he hath rebelled, who had caused him to swear by God, and he hardeneth his neck, and strengtheneth his heart, against turning back unto Jehovah, God of Israel.
Người cũng dấy lên nghịch cùng vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, là vua đã buộc người chỉ Đức Chúa Trời mà thề; song người lại cứng cổ rắn lòng, không khứng trở về cùng Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên.
14 Also, all the heads of the priests, and the people, having multiplied to commit a trespass according to all the abominations of the nations, and they defile the house of Jehovah that He hath sanctified in Jerusalem.
Những thầy tế lễ cả và dân sự đều theo những sự gớm ghiếc của các dân ngoại bang mà phạm tội lỗi nhiều quá đỗi; làm cho ô uế đền của Đức Giê-hô-va mà Ngài đã biệt riêng ra thánh tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
15 And Jehovah, God of their fathers, sendeth unto them by the hand of His messengers — rising early and sending — for He hath had pity on His people, and on His habitation,
Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của tổ phụ chúng, vì có lòng thương xót dân sự và đền của Ngài; nên hằng sai sứ giả đến cùng chúng;
16 and they are mocking at the messengers of God, and despising His words, and acting deceitfully with His prophets, till the going up of the fury of Jehovah against His people — till there is no healing.
nhưng chúng nhạo báng sứ giả của Đức Chúa Trời, khinh bỉ các lời phán Ngài, cười nhạo những tiên tri của Ngài, cho đến đỗi cơn thạnh nộ của Đức Giê-hô-va nổi lên cùng dân sự Ngài, chẳng còn phương chữa được.
17 And He causeth to go up against them the king of the Chaldeans, and he slayeth their chosen ones by the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and hath had no pity on young man and virgin, old man and very aged — the whole He hath given into his hand.
Vì vậy, Đức Chúa Trời khiến vua dân Canh-đê lên hãm đánh chúng, người dùng gươm giết những trai trẻ của chúng tại đền thánh họ; người chẳng thương xót đến, hoặc trai trẻ, nữ đồng trinh, già cả, hay là kẻ đầu bạc: Ngài phó hết thảy vào tay của vua Canh-đê.
18 And all the vessels of the house of God, the great and the small, and the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king and of his princes — the whole he hath brought in to Babylon.
Các khí dụng nhỏ và lớn của đền Đức Chúa Trời, các bửu vật của đền Đức Giê-hô-va, các bửu vật của vua và của các quan trưởng vua, cả thảy đều bị đem qua Ba-by-lôn.
19 And they burn the house of God, and break down the wall of Jerusalem, and all its palaces they have burnt with fire, and all its desirable vessels — to destruction.
Chúng đốt đền Đức Chúa Trời, đánh đổ vách thành Giê-ru-sa-lem, lấy lửa đốt các cung điện, và phá hủy các khí dụng tốt đẹp của nó.
20 And he removeth those left of the sword unto Babylon, and they are to him and to his sons for servants, till the reigning of the kingdom of Persia,
Phàm ai thoát khỏi gươm, thì người bắt đem qua Ba-by-lôn; chúng làm tôi mọi cho người và cho con trai người cho đến đời nước Phe-rơ-sơ hưng khởi;
21 to fulfil the word of Jehovah in the mouth of Jeremiah, till the land hath enjoyed its sabbaths; all the days of the desolation it kept sabbath — to the fulness of seventy years.
để cho ứng nghiệm lời của Đức Giê-hô-va đã cậy miệng Giê-rê-mi mà phán ra, tức cho đến khi xứ được hưởng các năm sa-bát của nó; vì trọn lúc xứ bị bỏ hoang, thì dường như giữ sa-bát, cho đến khi mãn hạn bảy mươi năm.
22 And in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, at the completion of the word of Jehovah in the mouth of Jeremiah, hath Jehovah waked up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, and he causeth an intimation to pass over into all his kingdom, and also in writing, saying,
Năm thứ nhất đời Si-ru, vua Phe-rơ-sơ trị vì, Đức Giê-hô-va muốn làm cho ứng nghiệm lời Ngài đã cậy miệng Giê-rê-mi mà phán ra, bèn cảm động lòng Si-ru, vua Phe-rơ-sơ, rao truyền trong khắp nước mình, và cũng ra chiếu chỉ, mà rằng:
23 'Thus said Cyrus king of Persia, All kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, God of the heavens, given to me, and He hath laid a charge on me to build to Him a house in Jerusalem, that [is] in Judah; who is among you of all His people? Jehovah his God [is] with him, and he doth go up.'
Si-ru, vua Phe-rơ-sơ, nói như vầy: Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời đã ban cho ta các nước thế gian, và biểu ta xây cất cho Ngài một cái đền ở tại Giê-ru-sa-lem trong xứ Giu-đa. Trong các ngươi, phàm ai thuộc về dân sự Ngài, hãy trở lên Giê-ru-sa-lem; nguyện Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của người ấy ở cùng người!
