2 Chronicles 36
1 And the people of the land take Jehoahaz son of Josiah, and cause him to reign instead of his father in Jerusalem.
Die Landbevölkerung nahm dann Joahas, den Sohn Josias, und machte ihn zum König in Jerusalem als Nachfolger seines Vaters.
2 A son of three and twenty years [is] Jehoahaz in his reigning, and three months he hath reigned in Jerusalem,
Im Alter von dreiundzwanzig Jahren wurde Joahas König und regierte drei Monate in Jerusalem;
3 and turn him aside doth the king of Egypt in Jerusalem, and fineth the land a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold;
dann setzte ihn der König von Ägypten in Jerusalem ab und legte dem Lande eine Geldbuße von hundert Talenten Silber und einem Talent Gold auf.
4 and the king of Egypt causeth Eliakim his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem, and turneth his name to Jehoiakim; and Jehoahaz his brother hath Necho taken, and bringeth him in to Egypt.
Dann machte der König von Ägypten den Bruder des Joahas, nämlich Eljakim, zum König über Juda und Jerusalem und änderte seinen Namen in Jojakim ab; seinen Bruder Joahas aber nahm Necho mit sich und brachte ihn nach Ägypten.
5 A son of twenty and five years [is] Jehoiakim in his reigning, and eleven years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah his God;
Im Alter von fünfundzwanzig Jahren wurde Jojakim König und regierte elf Jahre in Jerusalem; er tat, was dem HERRN, seinem Gott, mißfiel.
6 against him hath Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon come up, and bindeth him in brazen fetters to take him away to Babylon.
Da zog Nebukadnezar, der König von Babylon, gegen ihn heran und legte ihn in Ketten, um ihn nach Babylon bringen zu lassen.
7 And of the vessels of the house of Jehovah hath Nebuchadnezzar brought in to Babylon, and putteth them in his temple in Babylon.
Auch einen Teil der Geräte des Tempels des HERRN entführte Nebukadnezar nach Babylon und brachte sie in seinem Tempel zu Babylon unter. –
8 And the rest of the matters of Jehoiakim, and his abominations that he hath done, and that which is found against him, lo, they are written on the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, and reign doth Jehoiachin his son in his stead.
Die übrige Geschichte Jojakims aber und die Greueltaten, die er begangen hat, und was sonst noch Böses bei ihm vorgekommen ist, das findet sich bekanntlich bereits aufgezeichnet im Buch der Könige von Israel und Juda. Sein Sohn Jojachin folgte ihm dann in der Regierung nach.
9 A son of eight years is Jehoiachin in his reigning, and three months and ten days he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah;
Im Alter von achtzehn Jahren wurde Jojachin König und regierte drei Monate und zehn Tage in Jerusalem; er tat, was dem HERRN mißfiel.
10 and at the turn of the year hath king Nebuchadnezzar sent and bringeth him in to Babylon, with the desirable vessels of the house of Jehovah, and causeth Zedekiah his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem.
Um die Jahreswende aber sandte der König Nebukadnezar hin und ließ ihn nach Babylon holen samt den kostbarsten Geräten des Tempels des HERRN und machte seinen Bruder Zedekia zum König über Juda und Jerusalem.
11 A son of twenty and one years [is] Zedekiah in his reigning, and eleven years he hath reigned in Jerusalem;
Im Alter von einundzwanzig Jahren wurde Zedekia König und regierte elf Jahre in Jerusalem.
12 and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah his God, he hath not been humbled before Jeremiah the prophet [speaking] from the mouth of Jehovah;
Er tat, was dem HERRN, seinem Gott, mißfiel; er demütigte sich nicht vor Jeremia, der als Prophet auf Befehl des HERRN zu ihm redete.
13 and also, against king Nebuchadnezzar he hath rebelled, who had caused him to swear by God, and he hardeneth his neck, and strengtheneth his heart, against turning back unto Jehovah, God of Israel.
Dazu empörte er sich gegen den König Nebukadnezar, der ihn doch einen Treueid bei Gott hatte schwören lassen, und machte seinen Nacken steif und sein Herz verstockt, so daß er sich nicht zum HERRN, dem Gott Israels, bekehrte.
14 Also, all the heads of the priests, and the people, having multiplied to commit a trespass according to all the abominations of the nations, and they defile the house of Jehovah that He hath sanctified in Jerusalem.
Ebenso begingen alle höchstgestellten Priester und die Häupter des Volkes Sünden auf Sünden in der Weise der heidnischen Götzengreuel und entweihten das Haus, das der HERR in Jerusalem geheiligt hatte.
15 And Jehovah, God of their fathers, sendeth unto them by the hand of His messengers — rising early and sending — for He hath had pity on His people, and on His habitation,
Zwar sandte der HERR, der Gott ihrer Väter, durch seine Boten unermüdlich immer wieder (Warnungen) an sie, weil er Erbarmen mit seinem Volke fühlte und seine Wohnstätte ihm leid tat;
16 and they are mocking at the messengers of God, and despising His words, and acting deceitfully with His prophets, till the going up of the fury of Jehovah against His people — till there is no healing.
aber sie verhöhnten die Boten Gottes und verachteten seine Drohungen und trieben ihren Spott mit seinen Propheten, bis der Grimm des HERRN gegen sein Volk so hoch stieg, daß keine Heilung mehr möglich war.
17 And He causeth to go up against them the king of the Chaldeans, and he slayeth their chosen ones by the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and hath had no pity on young man and virgin, old man and very aged — the whole He hath given into his hand.
So ließ er denn den König der Chaldäer gegen sie heranziehen; der erschlug ihre junge Mannschaft mit dem Schwert in ihrem heiligen Tempel: er verschonte weder Jünglinge noch Jungfrauen, nicht Greise noch Hochbetagte: alles ließ Gott ihm in die Hände fallen.
18 And all the vessels of the house of God, the great and the small, and the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king and of his princes — the whole he hath brought in to Babylon.
Auch sämtliche Geräte des Gotteshauses, die großen wie die kleinen, und die Schätze des Tempels des HERRN und die Schätze des Königs und seiner Würdenträger: alles entführte er nach Babylon.
19 And they burn the house of God, and break down the wall of Jerusalem, and all its palaces they have burnt with fire, and all its desirable vessels — to destruction.
Den Tempel aber verbrannten sie, die Mauern Jerusalems rissen sie nieder und ließen alle Paläste der Stadt in Flammen aufgehen, so daß alle kostbaren Geräte darin zugrunde gingen.
20 And he removeth those left of the sword unto Babylon, and they are to him and to his sons for servants, till the reigning of the kingdom of Persia,
Hierauf führte er alle, die dem Blutbad entgangen waren, gefangen nach Babylon, wo sie ihm und seinen Söhnen als Knechte dienstbar waren, bis das Perserreich zur Herrschaft gelangte.
21 to fulfil the word of Jehovah in the mouth of Jeremiah, till the land hath enjoyed its sabbaths; all the days of the desolation it kept sabbath — to the fulness of seventy years.
So sollte das Wort des HERRN, das durch den Mund Jeremias ausgesprochen worden war, seine Erfüllung finden: »Bis das Land seine Sabbatjahre abgetragen hätte.« Während der ganzen Zeit seiner Verödung hatte es Ruhe, bis siebzig Jahre voll waren.
22 And in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, at the completion of the word of Jehovah in the mouth of Jeremiah, hath Jehovah waked up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, and he causeth an intimation to pass over into all his kingdom, and also in writing, saying,
Aber im ersten Jahre der Regierung des Kores, des Königs von Persien – damit das durch den Mund Jeremias ergangene Wort des HERRN in Erfüllung ginge –, regte der HERR den Geist des Perserkönigs Kores dazu an, folgende Verfügung durch sein ganzes Reich hin ausrufen und auch durch schriftlichen Erlaß bekanntmachen zu lassen:
23 'Thus said Cyrus king of Persia, All kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, God of the heavens, given to me, and He hath laid a charge on me to build to Him a house in Jerusalem, that [is] in Judah; who is among you of all His people? Jehovah his God [is] with him, and he doth go up.'
»So spricht Kores, der König von Persien: Alle Reiche der Erde hat mir der HERR, der Gott des Himmels, gegeben, und er ist’s auch, der mir aufgetragen hat, ihm zu Jerusalem in Juda einen Tempel zu erbauen. Wer also unter euch allen zu seinem Volke gehört, mit dem sei sein Gott, und er ziehe hinauf!«
