< 2 Chronicles 12 >

1 And it cometh to pass, at the establishing of the kingdom of Rehoboam, and at his strengthening himself, he hath forsaken the law of Jehovah, and all Israel with him.
and to be like/as to establish: establish royalty Rehoboam and like/as strength his to leave: forsake [obj] instruction LORD and all Israel with him
2 And it cometh to pass, in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, come up hath Shishak king of Egypt against Jerusalem — because they trespassed against Jehovah —
and to be in/on/with year [the] fifth to/for king Rehoboam to ascend: rise Shishak king Egypt upon Jerusalem for be unfaithful in/on/with LORD
3 with a thousand and two hundred chariots, and with sixty thousand horsemen, and there is no number to the people who have come with him out of Egypt — Lubim, Sukkiim, and Cushim —
in/on/with thousand and hundred chariot and in/on/with sixty thousand horseman and nothing number to/for people which to come (in): come with him from Egypt Libyan Sukkiim and Ethiopian
4 and he captureth the cities of the bulwarks that [are] to Judah, and cometh in unto Jerusalem.
and to capture [obj] city [the] fortress which to/for Judah and to come (in): come till Jerusalem
5 And Shemaiah the prophet hath come in unto Rehoboam and the heads of Judah who have been gathered unto Jerusalem from the presence of Shishak, and saith to them, 'Thus said Jehovah, Ye have forsaken Me, and also, I have left you in the hand of Shishak;'
and Shemaiah [the] prophet to come (in): come to(wards) Rehoboam and ruler Judah which to gather to(wards) Jerusalem from face: because Shishak and to say to/for them thus to say LORD you(m. p.) to leave: forsake [obj] me and also I to leave: forsake [obj] you in/on/with hand: power Shishak
6 and the heads of Israel are humbled, and the king, and they say, 'Righteous [is] Jehovah.'
and be humble ruler Israel and [the] king and to say righteous LORD
7 And when Jehovah seeth that they have been humbled, a word of Jehovah hath been unto Shemaiah, saying, 'They have been humbled; I do not destroy them, and I have given to them as a little thing for an escape, and I pour not out My fury in Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak;
and in/on/with to see: see LORD for be humble to be word LORD to(wards) Shemaiah to/for to say be humble not to ruin them and to give: give to/for them like/as little to/for survivor and not to pour rage my in/on/with Jerusalem in/on/with hand: power Shishak
8 but they become servants to him, and they know My service, and the service of the kingdoms of the lands.'
for to be to/for him to/for servant/slave and to know service my and service kingdom [the] land: country/planet
9 And Shishak king of Egypt cometh up against Jerusalem, and taketh the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the house of the king — the whole he hath taken — and he taketh the shields of gold that Solomon had made;
and to ascend: rise Shishak king Egypt upon Jerusalem and to take: take [obj] treasure house: temple LORD and [obj] treasure house: home [the] king [obj] [the] all to take: take and to take: take [obj] shield [the] gold which to make Solomon
10 and king Rehoboam maketh in their stead shields of brass, and hath given [them] a charge on the hand of the heads of the runners who are keeping the opening of the house of the king;
and to make [the] king Rehoboam underneath: instead them shield bronze and to reckon: overseer upon hand ruler [the] to run: guard [the] to keep: guard entrance house: home [the] king
11 and it cometh to pass, from the time of the going in of the king to the house of Jehovah, the runners have come in and lifted them up, and brought them back unto the chamber of the runners.
and to be from sufficiency to come (in): come [the] king house: temple LORD to come (in): come [the] to run: guard and to lift: bear them and to return: return them to(wards) chamber [the] to run: guard
12 And in his being humbled, turned back from him hath the wrath of Jehovah, so as not to destroy to completion; and also, in Judah there have been good things.
and in/on/with be humble he to return: turn back from him face: anger LORD and not to/for to ruin to/for consumption and also in/on/with Judah to be word: thing pleasant
13 And king Rehoboam strengtheneth himself in Jerusalem, and reigneth; for a son of forty and two years [is] Rehoboam in his reigning, and seventeen years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, the city that Jehovah hath chosen to put His name there, out of all the tribes of Israel, and the name of his mother [is] Naamah the Ammonitess,
and to strengthen: strengthen [the] king Rehoboam in/on/with Jerusalem and to reign for son: aged forty and one year Rehoboam in/on/with to reign he and seven ten year to reign in/on/with Jerusalem [the] city which to choose LORD to/for to set: put [obj] name his there from all tribe Israel and name mother his Naamah [the] Ammon
14 and he doth the evil thing, for he hath not prepared his heart to seek Jehovah.
and to make: do [the] bad: evil for not to establish: establish heart his to/for to seek [obj] LORD
15 And the matters of Rehoboam, the first and the last, are they not written among the matters of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer, concerning genealogy? And the wars of Rehoboam and Jeroboam [are] all the days;
and word: deed Rehoboam [the] first and [the] last not they(masc.) to write in/on/with word: deed Shemaiah [the] prophet and Iddo [the] seer to/for to enroll and battle Rehoboam and Jeroboam all [the] day: always
16 and Rehoboam lieth with his fathers, and is buried in the city of David, and reign doth Abijah his son in his stead.
and to lie down: be dead Rehoboam with father his and to bury in/on/with city David and to reign Abijah son: child his underneath: instead him
