1 Peter 1
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the choice sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
Nĩ niĩ Petero, mũtũmwo wa Jesũ Kristũ, Ngũmwandĩkĩra marũa maya, inyuĩ arĩa Ngai eyamũrĩire, na mũtũũrĩte mũrĩ ageni gũkũ thĩ, na mũkahurunjũkĩra mabũrũri ma Ponto, na Galatia, na Kapadokia, na Asia, na Bithinia,
2 according to a foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, to obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied!
o inyuĩ mwathuurirwo kũringana na ũrĩa Ngai Ithe aamũmenyete o mbere, na akamũtheria nĩ ũndũ wa Roho, nĩguo mwathĩkagĩre Jesũ Kristũ, na mũminjaminjĩrio thakame yake: Wega na thayũ iromũingĩhĩra.
3 Blessed [is] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to the abundance of His kindness did beget us again to a living hope, through the rising again of Jesus Christ out of the dead,
Ngai, o we Ithe wa Mwathani witũ Jesũ Kristũ, arogoocwo! Ngai nĩatũciarĩte rĩngĩ nĩ ũndũ wa tha ciake nyingĩ nĩguo tũgĩe na kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro kĩrĩ muoyo, nĩ ũndũ wa ũrĩa Jesũ Kristũ aariũkire akiuma kũrĩ arĩa akuũ.
4 to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and unfading, reserved in the heavens for you,
Aatũciarire nĩguo tũgĩe na igai rĩrĩa rĩtangĩbutha, kana rĩthũke, kana rĩhwerereke, rĩrĩa mũigĩirwo kũu igũrũ,
5 who, in the power of God are being guarded, through faith, unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time,
o inyuĩ mũgitĩirwo nĩ hinya wa Ngai nĩ ũndũ wa gwĩtĩkia, o nginya hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ũhonokio ũgooka ũrĩa ũhaarĩirio gũkaaguũranĩrio ihinda rĩa mũthia.
6 in which ye are glad, a little now, if it be necessary, being made to sorrow in manifold trials,
Ũhoro ũcio nĩguo mũkenagĩra mũno, o na gwatuĩka rĩu nĩmũiguithĩtio kĩeha kahinda kanini nĩkũgerio na magerio ma mĩthemba yothe.
7 that the proof of your faith — much more precious than of gold that is perishing, and through fire being approved — may be found to praise, and honour, and glory, in the revelation of Jesus Christ,
Maũndũ maya mokĩte nĩgeetha wĩtĩkio wanyu woneke nĩ wa goro mũno gũkĩra thahabu, ĩrĩa ĩthiraga o na yakorwo ĩtheragio na mwaki, ningĩ ũmenyeke atĩ nĩ wa ma, na atĩ nĩũkarehe ũgooci, na riiri, na gĩtĩĩo hĩndĩ ĩrĩa Jesũ Kristũ akaaguũranĩrio.
8 whom, not having seen, ye love, in whom, now not seeing and believing, ye are glad with joy unspeakable and glorified,
Nĩmũmwendete o na gũtuĩka mũtirĩ mwamuona; ningĩ mũkamwĩtĩkia o na gũtuĩka rĩu mũtiramuona, na mũkaiyũrwo nĩ gĩkeno gĩtangĩheanĩka ũhoro wakĩo, o kĩrĩa kĩrĩ riiri,
9 receiving the end of your faith — salvation of souls;
nĩgũkorwo nĩmũramũkĩra ũndũ ũrĩa mũtanyaga kuona nĩ ũndũ wa wĩtĩkio wanyu, na nĩguo ũhonokio wa ngoro cianyu.
10 concerning which salvation seek out and search out did prophets who concerning the grace toward you did prophecy,
Ũhoro ũcio wa ũhonokio-rĩ, nĩguo anabii, arĩa maarathaga ũhoro wa wega wa Ngai ũrĩa warĩ ũũke kũrĩ inyuĩ, maacaragia na kĩyo, na makaũtuĩria na ũmenyereri mũnene,
11 searching in regard to what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ that was in them was manifesting, testifying beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glory after these,
makĩgeria kũmenya nĩ hĩndĩ ĩrĩkũ Roho wa Kristũ ũrĩa warĩ thĩinĩ wao orotaga rĩrĩa aarathaga ũhoro wa kũnyariirĩka gwa Kristũ na riiri ũrĩa ũkaarũmĩrĩra.
12 to whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they were ministering these, which now were told to you (through those who did proclaim good news to you, ) in the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, to which things messengers do desire to bend looking.
Nao nĩmaguũrĩirio atĩ to o ene meetungatagĩra, no nĩ inyuĩ maatungatagĩra, hĩndĩ ĩrĩa maaragia ũhoro wa maũndũ marĩa mwĩrĩtwo rĩu nĩ arĩa maamũhunjĩirie Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega na ũndũ wa Roho Mũtheru ũrĩa watũmirwo kuuma igũrũ. Maũndũ macio nĩmo araika meriragĩria mũno kuona.
13 Wherefore having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, hope perfectly upon the grace that is being brought to you in the revelation of Jesus Christ,
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, ikaragai mwĩhaarĩirie meciiria-inĩ manyu; tuĩkai andũ a kwĩrigagĩrĩria merirĩria ma mwĩrĩ; na mũige kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro kĩanyu biũ harĩ wega ũrĩa mũkaaheo hĩndĩ ĩrĩa Jesũ Kristũ akaaguũranĩrio.
14 as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves to the former desires in your ignorance,
Tuĩkai ciana cia gwathĩka, na mũtigatongoragio nĩ merirĩria mooru marĩa mwatũire namo mbere hĩndĩ ĩrĩa mũtaamenyete Ngai.
15 but according as He who did call you [is] holy, ye also, become holy in all behaviour,
No tondũ ũrĩa wamwĩtire nĩ mũtheru-rĩ, o na inyuĩ tuĩkai atheru maũndũ-inĩ mothe marĩa mũrĩĩkaga;
16 because it hath been written, 'Become ye holy, because I am holy;'
nĩgũkorwo nĩ kwandĩkĩtwo atĩrĩ: “Tuĩkai atheru, tondũ o na niĩ ndĩ mũtheru.”
17 and if on the Father ye do call, who without acceptance of persons is judging according to the work of each, in fear the time of your sojourn pass ye,
Na rĩrĩ, tondũ inyuĩ mũkayagĩra Ngai mũkĩmwĩtaga Ithe wanyu, o we ũrĩa ũtuagĩra o mũndũ o mũndũ kũringana na wĩra wake ategũthutũkania-rĩ, gĩikaragei mũmwĩtigĩrĩte na mũikarage ta mũrĩ agendi gũkũ thĩ.
18 having known that, not with corruptible things — silver or gold — were ye redeemed from your foolish behaviour delivered by fathers,
Nĩgũkorwo nĩmũũĩ atĩ rĩrĩa mwakũũrirwo mũtigane na mũtũũrĩre wa tũhũ ũrĩa mwatigĩirwo nĩ maithe manyu-rĩ, ti indo iria ibuthaga ta betha kana thahabu mwakũũrirwo nacio,
19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and unspotted — Christ's —
no mwakũũrirwo na thakame ya goro mũno ya Kristũ, ũrĩa wahaanaga ta gatũrũme gatarĩ na kĩmeni kana kaũũgũ.
20 foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, and manifested in the last times because of you,
Nake nĩwe wathuurĩtwo thĩ ĩtanombwo, no nĩaguũranĩrio mahinda maya ma kũrigĩrĩria nĩ ũndũ wanyu.
21 who through him do believe in God, who did raise out of the dead, and glory to him did give, so that your faith and hope may be in God.
Na inyuĩ nĩmwĩtĩkĩtie Ngai nĩ ũndũ wake, Ngai ũrĩa wamũriũkirie kuuma kũrĩ arĩa akuũ na akĩmũhe riiri, nĩgeetha wĩtĩkio wanyu na mwĩhoko ikorwo irĩ o harĩ Ngai.
22 Your souls having purified in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to brotherly love unfeigned, out of a pure heart one another love ye earnestly,
Na tondũ rĩu nĩmwĩtheretie nĩ ũndũ wa gwathĩkĩra ũhoro ũrĩa wa ma, na mũgatuĩka a kwendana kũna na ariũ na aarĩ a Ithe wanyu hatarĩ ũhinga-rĩ, inyuĩ ene endanagai biũ na ngoro cianyu.
23 being begotten again, not out of seed corruptible, but incorruptible, through a word of God — living and remaining — to the age; (aiōn g165)
Nĩgũkorwo nĩmũciarĩtwo rĩngĩ, no mũticiarĩtwo kuuma kũrĩ mbeũ ĩrĩa ĩbuthaga, no nĩ ĩrĩa ĩtarĩ ya kũbutha, na ũndũ wa kiugo kĩa Ngai kĩrĩa kĩrĩ muoyo na gĩtũũraga tene na tene. (aiōn g165)
24 because all flesh [is] as grass, and all glory of man as flower of grass; wither did the grass, and the flower of it fell away,
Tondũ rĩrĩ, “Andũ othe mahaana ta nyeki, na ũthaka wao wothe ũhaana ta mahũa ma mũgũnda; nyeki nĩĩhoohaga, namo mahũa magaitĩka,
