< 1 Peter 4 >

1 Christ, then, having suffered for us in the flesh, ye also with the same mind arm yourselves, because he who did suffer in the flesh hath done with sin,
Khritaw naw a pumsa am khuikhanak khameiki. Nangmi pi a Ania khameia kba nami khamei khai kunga ngai lü, nami ktha mcüng ua. Isenitiüng, Pumsa khuikhanak khamei nakütki cun mkhyenak üng am ngpüi ti tinaka kyaki.
2 no more in the desires of men, but in the will of God, to live the rest of the time in the flesh;
Tuh üngkhyüha ta, khawmdek ning üng na xünseinak naküt cen, khyanga hlüeia käh nikia, Pamhnama hlüeia xüngsei hnüha.
3 for sufficient to us [is] the past time of life the will of the nations to have wrought, having walked in lasciviousnesses, desires, excesses of wines, revellings, drinking-bouts, and unlawful idolatries,
Mi khe lawa kcüne üng am jumeikiea kba: mlung hlükaw jawnga awmih, hnunglanak hlü, jukung ktaipam xanak, ampyua ei aw lü hnungla pawia awmih, juhai eiawknak ja mtuihsekia juktuhe hjawkmkhähnake cun nami khyaih khawha nami jah pawh pängki he.
4 in which they think it strange — your not running with them to the same excess of dissoluteness, speaking evil,
Atuh ta Mhnam am ksingki hea mlung xanak ja mlümlawknak üng am nami ngpüingpaw tia phäh, mün u lü ning jah yaihei ve u.
5 who shall give an account to Him who is ready to judge living and dead,
Acunüngpi, akthi ja akxüng ngthu jah mtai khaia ngcüngceiki Pamhnama veia amimäta mawng cun pyenei yah khaie.
6 for for this also to dead men was good news proclaimed, that they may be judged, indeed, according to men in the flesh, and may live according to God in the spirit.
Acuna phäh ni, khyang naküta khameia kba ngthumkhyahnak cun pumsa üng khameikie akthiea veia pi Thangkdaw cun sanga kyaki. Pamhnam a xüngseia mäiha ngmüimkhya üng ami xüisei vaia phäh sanga kyaki.
7 And of all things the end hath come nigh; be sober-minded, then, and watch unto the prayers,
Anaküta adütnak vai cun cäh lawki. Acunakyase, nami ktaiyü khawh vaia, mlung ngkhängsak lü thüxaknak am ve ua.
8 and, before all things, to one another having the earnest love, because the love shall cover a multitude of sins;
Anaküta kthaka nami püi mhläkphya na ua. Mhläkphyanak naw mkhyenak khawhah jah küm pet theiki.
9 hospitable to one another, without murmuring;
Käh hlawpcap lü nami püi khin na thei ua.
10 each, according as he received a gift, to one another ministering it, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;
Khyang mat phäh phäh hin Pamhnama jah pet ami phäh phäha msümceikia kyaki he. Pamhnam naw letsawnga a pet cun khyang kce hea phäh daw khaia sumei se.
11 if any one doth speak — 'as oracles of God;' if any one doth minister — 'as of the ability which God doth supply;' that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the power — to the ages of the ages. Amen.
Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Beloved, think it not strange at the fiery suffering among you that is coming to try you, as if a strange thing were happening to you,
Ka püi he aw, nami khana am thawn khawiki pha law lü ning jah huimhleikia mhnütnaka nami khamei üng käh müncan ua.
13 but, according as ye have fellowship with the sufferings of the Christ, rejoice ye, that also in the revelation of his glory ye may rejoice — exulting;
Khritawa khuikhatnak nami khameipüi hin jekyai ua. Hlüngtainak am a law bea kcün üng, jekyainak am nami kümcei khaia kyase.
14 if ye be reproached in the name of Christ — happy [are ye], because the Spirit of glory and of God upon you doth rest; in regard, indeed, to them, he is evil-spoken of, and in regard to you, he is glorified;
Khritawa hnukläka nami kyaa phäh ami ning jah yaihyünei üng ta, jekyai ua. Acun cun hlüngtaikia Ngmüimkhya, Pamhnama Ngmüimkhya cun nami khana vekia kyaki.
15 for let none of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evil-doer, or as an inspector into other men's matters;
Nangmi üng mat naw a khuikhatnak a khamei üng; khyang a hnima phäh, a mpyuka phäh, khyangkaa a thawna phäh ja khyanga khut üng a ngcawngcik hüa phäha, käh khamei se.
16 and if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; and let him glorify God in this respect;
Acunüngpi, Khritjana na thawna phäh khuikhatnak na khamei üngta, käh ngkeei kawpi. Khritawa ngming üng na khameia phäh Pamhnam na jenak vai.
17 because it is the time of the beginning of the judgment from the house of God, and if first from us, what the end of those disobedient to the good news of God?
Ngthumkhyahnak cutei vaia kcün cun pha päng ve. Pamhnama a khyange cun akcüka jah cijang vai. Mimi üng a cutei üng, Pamhnam üngkhyüh lawkia Thangkdaw am jumeikiea khütnak vai ta ihawkba vai ni.
18 And if the righteous man is scarcely saved, the ungodly and sinner — where shall he appear?
Cangcim naw, “khyang kdawe jah küikyan vai hin khak ve; acunüng, Mhnam am jumki khyangkae ta ihawkba vai ni.”
19 so that also those suffering according to the will of god, as to a stedfast Creator, let them commit their own souls in good doing.
Acunakyase, Pamhnama hlüeia khuikhat khameikie naw, a khyütam nängpang lü jah Tüipyangkia veia, dawkyakia ngneisak am ami xünsak cun ng’apei u se.
