< 1 Peter 2 >
1 Having put aside, then, all evil, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envyings, and all evil speakings,
Nipele, nnechanje ungalumbana wose, unami ni ulamba ni wiu ni kutukana ikapagwa sooni.
2 as new-born babes the word's pure milk desire ye, that in it ye may grow,
Moŵa gose nlajile liloŵe lya uswela lya Akunnungu nti mwanache yakuti pakulajila maŵele, kuti kwa lyelelyo isyene nkombole kukula ni kukulupuswa.
3 if so be ye did taste that the Lord [is] gracious,
Mpela igakuti kusala Malembelo ga Akunnungu, “Nnyimanyi mwachinsyene kuti Ambuje ali ŵambone.”
4 to whom coming — a living stone — by men, indeed, having been disapproved of, but with God choice, precious,
Nipele, mwajaulile Ambuje! Ŵelewo ali nti liganga lyalijumi lyekanikwe ni ŵandu, nambo paujo pa Akunnungu lili liganga lyesagulikwe ni lya ndalama jajikulungwa.
5 and ye yourselves, as living stones, are built up, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Ŵanyamwe nombe nli nti maganga gamajumi nkagumbikwe ni kuŵa nyuumba ja chimbumu muchinkatumichile mpela ŵambopesi ŵaswela, nkatyosye mbopesi sya mmbumu syasikukundikwa ni Akunnungu kwa litala li Che Yesu Kilisito.
6 Wherefore, also, it is contained in the Writing: 'Lo, I lay in Zion a chief corner-stone, choice, precious, and he who is believing on him may not be put to shame;'
Pakuŵa Malembelo ga Akunnungu gakuti, “Sagwile liganga lya ndalama, linguliŵika nti liganga lya nsingi lya petumba ku Sayuni. Mundu juchankulupilile jwelejo ngaintenda soni.”
7 to you, then, who are believing [is] the preciousness; and to the unbelieving, a stone that the builders disapproved of, this one did become for the head of a corner,
Kukwenu ŵanyamwe ŵankukulupilila, liganga lyo lili lya ndalama jajikulungwa, nambo kwa ŵele ŵangakukulupilila mpela Malembelo ga Akunnungu yagakuti pakusala, “Liganga lyalikanile ŵakutaŵa kuti ngalikufai, sambano lilyolyo lili liganga lyalikusachilwa kwannope.”
8 and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence — who are stumbling at the word, being unbelieving, — to which also they were set;
9 and ye [are] a choice race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people acquired, that the excellences ye may shew forth of Him who out of darkness did call you to His wondrous light;
Nambo ŵanyamwe nli ŵandu ŵansagulikwe, uŵelesi wa ŵambopesi ŵa mwenye, ni lukosyo lwaluswela ni mpingo wa ŵandu ŵa Akunnungu, ŵansagulikwe kugasala masengo gakwe gamakulu gaŵammilasile ntyoche mu chipi, ni kunjinjisya mu lilanguka lyakwe lyekulu.
10 who [were] once not a people, and [are] now the people of God; who had not found kindness, and now have found kindness.
Kalakala ŵanyamwe nganimma ŵandu ŵa Akunnungu, nambo sambano ŵanyamwe nli ŵandu ŵakwe, kalakala Akunnungu nganantendela chanasa, nambo sambano mpochele chanasa chao.
11 Beloved, I call upon [you], as strangers and sojourners, to keep from the fleshly desires, that war against the soul,
Achambusanga ŵangu ŵangunnonyela, ngunchondelela ŵanyamwe nti achalendo ni ŵandu ŵa ulendo pa chilambo pano! Nnekangane ni tama syangalumbana simpagwile nasyo syasikupisyangana ni mbumu.
12 having your behaviour among the nations right, that in that which they speak against you as evil-doers, of the good works having beheld, they may glorify God in a day of inspection.
Wende wenu pasikati ja ŵandu ŵangakwamanyilila Akunnungu ukusachilwa uŵe wambone, kuti pachachinnambuchisya po kuti nkupanganya ya sambi, chaiwone ipanganyo yenu yambone ni Akunnungu pachaiche chiŵakusye.
13 Be subject, then, to every human creation, because of the Lord, whether to a king, as the highest,
Nipele mwajitichisye ŵandu wose ŵaali ni ukulu kwa ligongo lya Ambuje. Munjitichisye mwenye jwali chilongola jwankulu,
14 whether to governors, as to those sent through him, for punishment, indeed, of evil-doers, and a praise of those doing good;
ni mwajitichisye achakulu ŵaŵasagulikwe ni mwenye kwalamula ŵandu ŵa sambi ni kwalapa ŵakupanganya yambone.
15 because, so is the will of God, doing good, to put to silence the ignorance of the foolish men;
Pakuŵa Akunnungu akusaka ntende yambone kuti nkombole kusitaŵa kang'wa sya ŵandu ŵangali lunda ŵangakwimanyilila aila yakuipanganya.
16 as free, and not having the freedom as the cloak of the evil, but as servants of God;
Mtameje nti ŵandu ŵanganataŵikwa, ni ungataŵikwa wenu wo ukaŵa litala lya kuisisa yangalumbana yenu, nambo mtameje nti ŵakutumichila ŵa Akunnungu.
17 to all give ye honour; the brotherhood love ye; God fear ye; the king honour ye.
Mwachimbichisye ŵandu wose, mwanonyele ŵakukulupilila achinjenu, mwachimbichisye kwannope Akunnungu ni kumchimbichisya mwenye.
18 The domestics! be subjecting yourselves in all fear to the masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the cross;
Ŵanyamwe ŵakutumichila, mwapilikanichisye achakulu ŵenu kwakwachimbichisya, ngaŵa kwa ŵaali ŵambone ni chitungato pe, nambo ni ŵachikali.
19 for this [is] gracious, if because of conscience toward God any one doth endure sorrows, suffering unrighteously;
Pakuŵa iŵaga nkupililila ipwetesi ya masauko gangankuŵajilwa ligongo nkumanyilila kuti Akunnungu akusaka yele, nipele Akunnungu champanje upile.
20 for what renown [is it], if sinning and being buffeted, ye do endure [it]? but if, doing good and suffering [for it], ye do endure, this [is] gracious with God,
Pakuŵa, chimpate chichi mwapilililaga kuputwa kwankusachilwa mputwe ligongo lya ileŵo yenu? Nambo iŵaga nkupililila kusauswa atamuno ntesile yambone, Akunnungu champe upile kwa ligongo lyo.
21 for to this ye were called, because Christ also did suffer for you, leaving to you an example, that ye may follow his steps,
Yeleyo ni yammilanjikwe nayo, pakuŵa Kilisito nsyene ŵasawiche kwa ligongo lyenu, ni anlosisye ntende nti iŵatesile.
22 who did not commit sin, nor was guile found in his mouth,
Ŵelewo nganatenda sambi, atamuno nganaŵecheta liloŵe lyalili lyose lya unami.
23 who being reviled — was not reviling again, suffering — was not threatening, and was committing himself to Him who is judging righteously,
Ŵelewo paŵatukanikwe nganaliuchisya kwa kutukana. Ni paŵasawiche nganiŵajogoya ŵandu kuti ŵajogope, nambo ŵachilesile chilolelo chakwe kwa Akunnungu, ŵakulamula mu usyene.
24 who our sins himself did bear in his body, upon the tree, that to the sins having died, to the righteousness we may live; by whose stripes ye were healed,
Ŵelewo asyene ŵasijigele sambi syetu mu chiilu chao pa nsalaba, kuti uwe tuleche kutenda sambi, ni kutama kwa kupanganya yaili yambone paujo pa Akunnungu. Ni kwakupotekwa kwao, ŵanyamwe nlamiswe.
25 for ye were as sheep going astray, but ye turned back now to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
Pakuŵa mwaliji mpela ngondolo syesochelele, nambo sambano mmusile kwa jwakuchinga ni Jwakwimilila umi wenu.
