1 Kings 16
1 And a word of Jehovah is unto Jehu son of Hanani, against Baasha, saying,
Então veio a palavra do Senhor a Jehu, filho de Hanani, contra Baása, dizendo:
2 'Because that I have raised thee up out of the dust, and appoint thee leader over My people Israel, and thou walkest in the way of Jeroboam, and causest My people Israel to sin — to provoke Me to anger with their sins;
Porquanto te levantei do pó, e te pus por chefe sobre o meu povo Israel, e tu andaste no caminho de Jeroboão, e fizeste pecar a meu povo Israel, irritando-me com os seus pecados,
3 lo, I am putting away the posterity of Baasha, even the posterity of his house, and have given up thy house as the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat;
Eis que tirarei os descendentes de Baása, e os descendentes da sua casa, e farei a tua casa como a casa de Jeroboão, filho de Nebat.
4 him who dieth of Baasha in a city do the dogs eat, and him who dieth of his in a field do fowl of the heavens eat.'
Quem morrer a Baása na cidade os cães o comerão; e o que dele morrer no campo as aves do céu o comerão.
5 And the rest of the matters of Baasha, and that which he did, and his might, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
Quanto ao mais dos sucessos de Baása, e ao que fez, e a seu poder, porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?
6 And Baasha lieth with his fathers, and is buried in Tirzah, and Elah his son reigneth in his stead.
E Baása dormiu com seus pais, e foi sepultado em Tirza: e Ela, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
7 And also by the hand of Jehu son of Hanani the prophet a word of Jehovah hath been concerning Baasha, and concerning his house, and concerning all the evil that he did in the eyes of Jehovah to provoke Him to anger with the work of his hands, to be like the house of Jeroboam, and concerning that for which he smote him.
Assim veio também a palavra do Senhor, pelo ministério do profeta Jehu, filho de Hanani, contra Baása e contra a sua casa; e isso por todo o mal que fizera aos olhos do Senhor, irritando-o com a obra de suas mãos, para ser como a casa de Jeroboão; e porquanto o ferira.
8 In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah reigned hath Elah son of Baasha over Israel in Tirzah, two years;
No ano vinte e seis d'Asa, rei de Judá, Ela, filho de Baása, começou a reinar em Tirza sobre Israel: e reinou dois anos.
9 and conspire against him doth his servant Zimri (head of the half of the chariots) and he [is] in Tirzah drinking — a drunkard in the house of Arza, who [is] over the house in Tirzah.
E Zimri, seu servo, chefe de metade dos carros, conspirou contra ele, estando ele em Tirza bebendo e embriagando-se em casa d'Arsa, mordomo em Tirza.
10 And Zimri cometh in and smiteth him, and putteth him to death, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigneth in his stead;
Entrou pois Zimri, e o feriu, e o matou, no ano vigésimo sétimo d'Asa, rei de Judá: e reinou em seu lugar.
11 and it cometh to pass in his reigning, at his sitting on his throne, he hath smitten the whole house of Baasha; he hath not left to him any sitting on the wall, and of his redeemers, and of his friends.
E sucedeu que, reinando ele, e estando assentado no seu trono, feriu a toda a casa de Baása; não lhe deixou homem algum, nem a seus parentes, nem a seus amigos.
12 And Zimri destroyeth the whole house of Baasha, according to the word of Jehovah, that He spake concerning Baasha, by the hand of Jehu the prophet:
Assim destruiu Zimri toda a casa de Baása, conforme à palavra do Senhor que falara pelo ministério do profeta Jehu, sobre Baása,
13 concerning all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, that they sinned, and that they caused Israel to sin to provoke Jehovah, God of Israel, with their vanities.
Por todos os pecados de Baása, e os pecados de Ela, seu filho, com que pecaram, e com que fizeram pecar a Israel, irritando ao Senhor Deus de Israel com as suas vaidades.
14 And the rest of the matters of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
Quanto ao mais dos sucessos de Ela, e a tudo quanto fez, não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?
15 In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, reigned hath Zimri seven days in Tirzah; and the people are encamping against Gibbethon, which [is] to the Philistines;
No ano vigésimo sétimo d'Asa, rei de Judá, reinou Zimri sete dias em Tirza: e o povo estava acampado contra Gibbethon, que era dos philisteus.
16 and the people who are encamping hear, saying, 'Zimri hath conspired, and also hath smitten the king;' and all Israel cause Omri head of the host to reign over Israel on that day in the camp.
E ouviu dizer o povo que estava acampado: Zimri tem conspirado, e até feriu o rei. Todo o Israel pois no mesmo dia fez rei sobre Israel a Omri, chefe do exército no arraial.
17 And Omri goeth up, and all Israel with him, from Gibbethon, and they lay siege to Tirzah.
E subiu Omri, e todo o Israel com ele, de Gibbethon, e cercaram a Tirza.
18 And it cometh to pass, at Zimri's seeing that the city hath been captured, that he cometh in unto a high place of the house of the king, and burneth over him the house of the king with fire, and dieth,
E sucedeu que Zimri, vendo que a cidade era tomada, se foi ao paço da casa do rei: e queimou sobre si a casa do rei a fogo, e morreu,
19 for his sins that he sinned, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, to walk in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin that he did, to cause Israel to sin;
Por causa dos seus pecados que cometera, fazendo o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor, andando no caminho de Jeroboão, e no seu pecado que fizera, fazendo pecar a Israel.
20 and the rest of the matters of Zimri, and his conspiracy that he made, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
Quanto ao mais dos sucessos de Zimri, e à conspiração que fez porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?
21 Then are the sons of Israel parted into halves; half of the people hath been after Tibni son of Ginath to cause him to reign, and the half after Omri;
Então o povo de Israel se dividiu em dois partidos: metade do povo seguia a Tibni, filho de Ginath, para o fazer rei, e a outra metade seguia a Omri.
22 and stronger are the people that are after Omri than the people that are after Tibni son of Ginath, and Tibni dieth, and Omri reigneth.
Mas o povo que seguia a Omri foi mais forte do que o povo que seguia a Tibni, filho de Ginath: e Tibni morreu, e Omri reinou.
23 In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah reigned hath Omri over Israel twelve years; in Tirzah he hath reigned six years,
No ano trinta e um d'Asa, rei de Judá, Omri começou a reinar sobre Israel, e reinou doze anos: e em Tirza reinou seis anos.
24 and he buyeth the mount Samaria from Shemer, with two talents of silver, and buildeth [on] the mount, and calleth the name of the city that he hath built by the name of Shemer, lord of the hill — Samaria.
E de Semer comprou o monte de Samaria por dois talentos de prata: e edificou em o monte, e chamou o nome da cidade que edificou do nome de Semer, senhor do monte de Samaria.
25 And Omri doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and doth evil above all who [are] before him,
E fez Omri o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor; e fez pior do que todos quantos foram antes dele.
26 and walketh in all the way of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and in his sin that he caused Israel to sin, to provoke Jehovah, God of Israel, with their vanities.
E andou em todos os caminhos de Jeroboão, filho de Nebat, como também nos seus pecados com que tinha feito pecar a Israel, irritando ao Senhor Deus de Israel com as suas vaidades.
27 And the rest of the matters of Omri that he did, and his might that he got, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
Quanto ao mais dos sucessos de Omri, ao que fez, e ao seu poder que manifestou, porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?
28 And Omri lieth with his fathers, and is buried in Samaria, and Ahab his son reigneth in his stead.
E Omri dormiu com seus pais, e foi sepultado em Samaria: e Achab, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
29 And Ahab son of Omri hath reigned over Israel in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah, and Ahab son of Omri reigneth over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years,
E Achab, filho de Omri, começou a reinar sobre Israel no ano trigésimo oitavo d'Asa, rei de Judá: e reinou Achab, filho de Omri, sobre Israel em Samaria vinte e dois anos.
30 and Ahab son of Omri doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah above all who [are] before him.
E fez Achab, filho de Omri, o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor, mais do que todos os que foram antes dele.
31 And it cometh to pass — hath it been light his walking in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat? — then he taketh a wife, Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Zidonians, and goeth and serveth Baal, and boweth himself to it,
E sucedeu que (como se fôra coisa leve andar nos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebat) ainda tomou por mulher a Jezabel, filha de Ethbaal, rei dos sidônios: e foi e serviu a Baal, e se encurvou diante dele.
32 and raiseth up an altar for Baal, in the house of the Baal, that he built in Samaria;
E levantou um altar a Baal, na casa de Baal que edificara em Samaria.
33 and Ahab maketh the shrine, and Ahab addeth to do so as to provoke Jehovah, God of Israel, above all the kings of Israel who have been before him.
Também Achab fez um bosque: de maneira que Achab fez muito mais para irritar ao Senhor Deus de Israel, do que todos os reis de Israel que foram antes dele.
34 In his days hath Hiel the Beth-Elite built Jericho; in Abiram his first-born he laid its foundation, and in Segub his youngest he set up its doors, according to the word of Jehovah that He spake by the hand of Joshua son of Nun.
Em seus dias Hiel, o bethelita, edificou a Jericó: morrendo Abiram, seu primogênito a fundou, e morrendo Segub, seu último, pôs as suas portas: conforme à palavra do Senhor, que falara pelo ministério de Josué, filho de Nun.
