1 Chronicles 8
1 And Benjamin begat Bela his first-born, Ashbel the second, and Aharah the third,
Benjamin engendra Béla, son premier-né, Ashbel le second, Achrach le troisième,
2 Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.

3 And there are sons to Bela: Addar, and Gera,

6 And these [are] sons of Ehud: they are heads of fathers to the inhabitants of Geba, and they remove them unto Manahath;
Voici les enfants d'Échud; ils étaient chefs des maisons des pères des habitants de Guéba, et ils les transportèrent à Manachath:
7 and Naaman, and Ahiah, and Gera, he removed them, and begat Uzza and Ahihud.
Naaman, Achija et Guéra; c'est lui qui les transporta. Il engendra Uzza et Achichud.
8 And Shaharaim begat in the field of Moab, after his sending them away; Hushim and Baara [are] his wives.
Shacharaïm eut des enfants au pays de Moab, après qu'il eut renvoyé Hushim et Baara, ses femmes.
9 And he begetteth of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcham,
Il engendra de Hodèsh, sa femme, Jobab, Tsibia, Mésha, Malcam,
10 and Jeuz, and Shachiah, and Mirmah. These [are] his sons, heads of fathers.
Jéuts, Shocja et Mirma. Ce sont là ses fils, chefs des pères.
11 And of Hushim he begat Ahitub and Elpaal.
De Hushim il engendra Abitub, et Elpaal.
12 And sons of Elpaal: Eber, and Misheam, and Shamer, (he built Ono and Lod and its small towns),
Les fils d'Elpaal: Éber, Misheam, et Shémer, qui bâtit Ono, Lod et les villes de son ressort.
13 and Beriah and Shema, (they [are] the heads of fathers to the inhabitants of Aijalon — they caused to flee the inhabitants of Gath),
Béria et Shéma, qui étaient chefs des pères des habitants d'Ajalon, mirent en fuite les habitants de Gath.
14 and Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth,
Achio, Shashak, Jérémoth,
15 and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Ader,
Zébadia, Arad, Éder,
16 and Michael, and Ispah, and Joha, sons of Beriah,
Micaël, Jishpha et Jocha, étaient fils de Béria.
17 and Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hezeki, and Heber,

18 and Ishmerai, and Jezliah, and Jobab, sons of Elpaal;
Jishméraï, Jizlia, et Jobab, étaient fils d'Elpaal.
19 And Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi,

20 and Elienai, and Zillethai, and Eliel,
Éliénaï, Tsilethaï, Éliel,
21 and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, sons of Shimei;
Adaja, Béraja, et Shimrath, étaient fils de Shimeï.
22 And Ishpan, and Heber, and Eliel,
Jishpan, Éber, Éliel,
23 and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan,
Abdon, Zicri, Hanan,
24 and Hananiah, and Elam, and Antothijah,
Hanania, Élam, Anthothija,
25 and Iphedeiah, and Penuel, sons of Shashak;
Jiphdéja et Pénuel, étaient fils de Shashak.
26 And Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah,
Shamshéraï, Shécharia, Athalia,
27 and Jaareshiah, and Eliah, and Zichri, sons of Jeroham.
Jaareshia, Élija et Zicri, étaient fils de Jérocham.
28 These [are] heads of fathers, by their generations, heads; these dwelt in Jerusalem.
Ce sont là les chefs des maisons des pères, chefs selon leur naissance. Ils habitaient à Jérusalem.
29 And in Gibeon hath the father of Gibeon dwelt, and the name of his wife [is] Maachah;
Le père de Gabaon habitait à Gabaon; sa femme s'appelait Maaca.
30 and his son, the first-born, [is] Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,
Son fils, le premier-né, fut Abdon; puis Tsur, Kis, Baal, Nadab,
31 and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zacher;
Guédor, Achio et Zéker.
32 and Mikloth begat Shimeah. And they also over-against their brethren dwelt in Jerusalem with their brethren.
Mikloth engendra Shiméa. Ils habitèrent aussi près de leurs frères à Jérusalem, avec leurs frères.
33 And Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchi-Shua, and Abinadab, and Esh-Baal.
Ner engendra Kis; Kis engendra Saül; Saül engendra Jonathan, Malkishua, Abinadab et Eshbaal.
34 And a son of Jonathan [is] Merib-Baal, and Merib-Baal begat Micah;
Fils de Jonathan: Mérib-Baal. Mérib-Baal engendra Mica.
35 and sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz:
Fils de Mica: Pithon, Mélec, Thaeréa et Achaz.
36 and Ahaz begat Jehoadah, and Jehoadah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza,
Achaz engendra Jéhoadda; Jéhoadda engendra Alémeth, Azmaveth et Zimri; Zimri engendra Motsa;
37 and Moza begat Binea, Raphah [is] his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
Motsa engendra Binea, qui eut pour fils Rapha, qui eut pour fils Éleasa, qui eut pour fils Atsel.
38 And to Azel [are] six sons, and these [are] their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these [are] sons of Azel.
Atsel eut six fils, dont voici les noms: Azrikam, Bocru, Ismaël, Shéaria, Obadia et Hanan. Tous ceux-là étaient fils d'Atsel.
39 And sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam his first-born, Jehush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
Fils d'Eshek, son frère: Ulam, son premier-né, Jéush le second, et Éliphélet le troisième.
40 And the sons of Ulam are men mighty in valour, treading bow, and multiplying sons and son's sons, a hundred and fifty. All these [are] of the sons of Benjamin.
Les fils d'Ulam furent de vaillants guerriers, tirant de l'arc; et ils eurent beaucoup de fils et de petits-fils, cent cinquante. Tous ceux-là sont des enfants de Benjamin.
