1 Chronicles 23
1 And David is old, and satisfied with days, and causeth his son Solomon to reign over Israel,
௧தாவீது வயது சென்றவனும் பூரண வயதுள்ளவனுமானபோது, தன்னுடைய மகனாகிய சாலொமோனை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக்கினான்.
2 and gathereth all the heads of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites;
௨இஸ்ரவேலின் எல்லாப் பிரபுக்களையும், ஆசாரியர்களையும், லேவியர்களையும் கூடிவரும்படிச் செய்தான்.
3 and the Levites are numbered from a son of thirty years and upward, and their number, by their polls, is of mighty men thirty and eight thousand.
௩அப்பொழுது முப்பது வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட லேவியர்கள் பெயர்பெயராக எண்ணப்பட்டார்கள்; தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்ட அவர்களுடைய எண்ணிக்கை முப்பத்தெட்டாயிரம்.
4 Of these to preside over the work of the house of Jehovah [are] twenty and four thousand, and officers and judges six thousand,
௪அவர்களில் இருபத்துநான்காயிரம்பேர் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் வேலையை விசாரிக்கிறவர்களும், ஆறாயிரம்பேர் தலைவர்களும் அலுவலர்களும் என்றும்,
5 and four thousand gatekeepers, and four thousand giving praise to Jehovah, 'with instruments that I made for praising,' [saith David.]
௫நான்காயிரம்பேர் வாசல் காக்கிறவர்களாக இருக்கவேண்டும் என்றும், துதி செய்வற்கு தான் செய்துவைத்த கீதவாத்தியங்களால் நான்காயிரம்பேர் யெகோவாவை துதிக்கிறவர்களாக இருக்கவேண்டும் என்றும் தாவீது சொல்லி,
6 And David distributeth them into courses: Of the sons of Levi: of Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
௬அவர்களை லேவியின் மகன்களாகிய கெர்சோன், கோகாத், மெராரி என்பவர்களுடைய குழுக்களின்படி பிரித்தான்.
7 Of the Gershonite: Laadan and Shimei.
௭கெர்சோனியர்களில், லாதானும், சீமேயும் இருந்தார்கள்.
8 Sons of Laadan: the head [is] Jehiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
௮லாதானின் மகன்கள் யெகியேல், சேத்தாம், யோவேல் என்னும் மூன்றுபேர்; இவர்களில் முந்தினவன் தலைவனாக இருந்தான்.
9 Sons of Shimei [are] Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran, three; these [are] heads of the fathers of Laadan.
௯சீமேயின் மகன்கள் செலோமித், ஆசியேல், ஆரான் என்னும் மூன்று பேர்; இவர்கள் லாதான் வம்சத்தார்களின் தலைவர்களாக இறந்தார்கள்.
10 And sons of Shimei [are] Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah; these [are] sons of Shimei, four.
௧0யாகாத், சீனா, எயூஷ், பெரீயா என்னும் நான்குபேர்களும் சீமேயின் மகன்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.
11 And Jahath is the head, and Zizah the second, and Jeush and Beriah have not multiplied sons, and they become the house of a father by one numbering.
௧௧யாகாத் தலைவனாக இருந்தான்; சீனா இரண்டாம் மகனாக இருந்தான்; எயூஷூக்கும் பெரீயாவுக்கும் அநேகம் மகன்கள் இல்லாததால், அவர்கள் தகப்பன்மார்களின் குடும்பத்தார்களில் ஒரே வம்சமாக எண்ணப்பட்டார்கள்.
12 Sons of Kohath [are] Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
௧௨கோகாத்தின் மகன்கள் அம்ராம், இத்சேயார், எப்ரோன், ஊசியேல் என்னும் நான்குபேர்.
13 Sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron is separated for his sanctifying the holy of holies, he and his sons — unto the age, to make perfume before Jehovah, to serve Him, and to bless in His name — unto the age.
௧௩அம்ராமின் மகன்கள் ஆரோன், மோசே என்பவர்கள்; ஆரோனும் அவனுடைய மகன்களும் பரிசுத்தத்திற்குப் பரிசுத்தமான இடத்தை என்றென்றைக்கும் பரிசுத்தமாகக் காக்கவும், என்றைக்கும் யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக தூபங்காட்டவும், அவருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்யவும், அவர் நாமத்திலே ஆசீர்வாதம் கொடுக்கவும் பிரித்துவைக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.
14 As to Moses, the man of God, his sons are called after the tribe of Levi.
௧௪தேவனுடைய மனிதனாகிய மோசேயின் மகன்களோ, லேவிகோத்திரத்தார்களுக்குள் எண்ணப்பட்டார்கள்.
15 Sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
௧௫மோசேயின் மகன்கள் கெர்சோம் எலியேசர் என்பவர்கள்.
16 Sons of Gershom: Shebuel the head.
௧௬கெர்சோமின் மகன்களில் செபுவேல் தலைவனாக இருந்தான்.
17 And sons of Eliezer are Rehabiah the head, and Eliezer had no other sons, and the sons of Rehabiah have multiplied exceedingly.
௧௭எலியேசருடைய மகன்களில் ரெகபியா என்னும் அவனுடைய மகன் தலைவனாக இருந்தான்; எலியேசருக்கு வேறே மகன்கள் இல்லை; ரெகபியாவின் மகன்கள் அநேகராக இருந்தார்கள்.
18 Sons of Izhar: Shelomith the head.
௧௮இத்சேயாரின் மகன்களில் செலோமித் தலைவனாக இருந்தான்.
19 Sons of Hebron: Jeriah the head, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
௧௯எப்ரோனின் மகன்களில் எரியா என்பவன் தலைவனாக இருந்தான்; இரண்டாவது அமரியா, மூன்றாவது யாகாசியேல், நான்காவது எக்காமியாம்.
20 Sons of Uzziel: Micah the head, and Ishshiah, the second.
௨0ஊசியேலின் மகன்களில் மீகா என்பவன் தலைவனாக இருந்தான்; இரண்டாவது இஷியா.
21 Sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
௨௧மெராரியின் மகன்கள் மகேலி, மூசி என்பவர்கள்; மகேலியின் மகன்கள் எலெயாசார், கீஸ் என்பவர்கள்.
22 And Eleazar dieth, and he had no sons, but daughters, and sons of Kish their brethren take them.
௨௨எலெயாசார் மரணமடைகிறபோது, அவனுக்கு மகள்களே அன்றி மகன்கள் இல்லை; கீசின் மகன்களாகிய இவர்களுடைய சகோதரர்கள் இவர்களைத் திருமணம் செய்தார்கள்.
23 Sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth, three.
௨௩மூசியின் மகன்கள் மகலி, ஏதேர், எரேமோத் என்னும் மூன்றுபேர்.
24 These [are] sons of Levi, by the house of their fathers, heads of the fathers, by their appointments, in the number of names, by their polls, doing the work for the service of the house of Jehovah, from a son of twenty years and upward,
௨௪தங்கள் பிதாகளுடைய குடும்பங்களின்படி, தகப்பன்மார்களில் தலைவனாக இருந்த லேவி சந்ததிகளின்படி பெயர்பெயராக குறிக்கப்பட்டபடி, தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்ட இருபது வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட இவர்களுடைய சந்ததியார்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்துப் பணிவிடையைச் செய்தார்கள்.
25 for David said, 'Jehovah, God of Israel, hath given rest to His people, and He doth tabernacle in Jerusalem unto the age;'
௨௫இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா தமது மக்களை இளைப்பாறியிருக்கச்செய்தார்; அவர் என்றென்றைக்கும் எருசலேமில் தங்குவார் என்றும்,
26 and also of the Levites, 'None [are] to bear the tabernacle and all its vessels for its service;'
௨௬இனி லேவியர்கள் தங்குமிடத்தையாவது அதின் ஊழியத்தில் அதின் பணிபொருட்களில் எதையாவது சுமக்கத் தேவையில்லை என்றும்,
27 for by the last words of David they [took] the number of the sons of Levi from a son of twenty years and upward,
௨௭தாவீது அவர்களைக்குறித்துச் சொன்ன கடைசி வார்த்தைகளின்படியே, லேவி மகன்களில் எண்ணிக்கைக்கு உட்பட்டவர்கள் இருபது வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்டவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.
28 for their station [is] at the side of the sons of Aaron, for the service of the house of Jehovah, over the courts, and over the chambers, and over the cleansing of every holy thing, and the work of the service of the house of God,
௨௮அவர்கள் ஆரோனுடைய மகன்களின் கீழ் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் ஊழியமாக நின்று, பிராகாரங்களையும், அறைகளையும், எல்லா பரிசுத்த பணிபொருட்களின் சுத்திகரிப்பையும், தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் ஆராதனையின் வேலையையும் விசாரிப்பதும்,
29 and for the bread of the arrangement, and for fine flour for present, and for the thin unleavened cakes, and for [the work of] the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all [liquid] measure and [solid] measure;
௨௯சமுகத்து அப்பங்களையும், உணவுபலிக்கு மெல்லிய மாவையும், புளிப்பில்லாத அதிரசங்களையும், சட்டிகளிலே செய்கிறதையும் சுடுகிறதையும், திட்டமான எல்லா எடையையும் அளவையும் விசாரிப்பதும்,
30 and to stand, morning by morning, to give thanks, and to give praise to Jehovah, and so at evening;
௩0நாள்தோறும் காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் யெகோவாவைப் போற்றித் துதித்து, ஓய்வு நாட்களிலும், அமாவாசைகளிலும், பண்டிகைகளிலும், யெகோவாவுக்கு சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகள் செலுத்தப்படுகிற எல்லா வேளைகளிலும்,
31 and for all the burnt-offerings — burnt-offerings to Jehovah for sabbaths, for new moons, and for appointed seasons, by number, according to the ordinance upon them continually, before Jehovah.
௩௧எண்ணிக்கைக்கு உள்ளான அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்டபடியே, எப்பொழுதும் அதின்படி செய்ய, யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்பதும்,
32 And they have kept the charge of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the sons of Aaron, their brethren, for the service of the house of Jehovah.
௩௨ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தின் காவலையும் பரிசுத்த இடத்தின் காவலையும் தங்களுடைய சகோதரர்களாகிய ஆரோனுடைய மகன்களின் காவலையும் காப்பதும், யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பணிவிடையைச் செய்வதும், அவர்கள் வேலையாக இருந்தது.
