Titus 2

1 But speke thou tho thingis that bisemen hoolsum teching;

Ty pak mluv, což sluší na zdravé učení.

2 that elde men be sobre, chast, prudent, hool in feith, in loue, and pacience;

Starci, ať jsou střízliví, vážní, opatrní, zdraví u víře, v lásce, v snášelivosti.

3 also olde wymmen in hooli abite, not sclaundereris, not seruynge myche to wyn, wel techynge, that thei teche prudence.

Též i staré ženy ať chodí pobožně, v oděvu příslušném, a ať nejsou převrhlé, ani mnoho vína pijící, poctivým věcem učící.

4 Moneste thou yonge wymmen, that thei loue here hosebondis, that thei loue her children;

Aby mladice vyučovaly, jak by muže své i dítky milovati měly,

5 and that thei be prudent, chast, sobre, hauynge cure of the hous, benygne, suget to her hosebondis, that the word of God be not blasfemyd.

A byly šlechetné, čistotné, netoulavé, dobrotivé, mužům svým poddané, aby nebylo dáno v porouhání slovo Boží.

6 Also moneste thou yonge men, that thei be sobre.

Takž i mládenců napomínej k středmosti,

7 In alle thingis yyue thi silf ensaumple of good werkis, in teching, in hoolnesse, in sadnesse.

Ve všech věcech sebe samého vydávaje za příklad dobrých skutků, maje v učení celost, vážnost,

8 An hoolsum word, and vnrepreuable; that he that is of the contrarie side, be aschamed, hauynge noon yuel thing to seie of you.

Slovo zdravé, bez úhony, aby ten, kterýž by se protivil, zastyděti se musil, nemaje co zlého mluviti o vás.

9 Moneste thou seruauntis to be suget to her lordis; in alle thingis plesinge, not ayenseiynge, not defraudynge,

Služebníky uč, ať jsou poddáni pánům svým, ve všem jim se líbíce, neodmlouvajíce,

10 but in alle thingis schewinge good feith, that thei onoure in alle thingis the doctryn of `God, oure sauyour.

Neokrádajíce, ale ve všem věrnosti pravé dokazujíce, aby učení spasitele našeho Boha ve všem ozdobovali.

11 For the grace of `God, oure sauyour, hath apperid to alle men,

Zjevilať se zajisté ta milost Boží spasitelná všechněm lidem,

12 and tauyte vs, that we forsake wickidnesse, and worldli desyris, lyue sobreli, and iustli, `and piteuousli in this world, (aiōn g165)

Vyučující nás, abychom odřeknouce se bezbožnosti, a světských žádostí, střízlivě, a spravedlivě, a pobožně živi byli na tomto světě, (aiōn g165)

13 abidinge the blessid hope and the comyng of the glorie of the greet God, and of oure sauyour Jhesu Crist;

Očekávajíce té blahoslavené naděje, a příští slávy velikého Boha a spasitele našeho Jezukrista,

14 that yaf hym silf for vs, to ayenbie vs fro al wickidnesse, and make clene to hym silf a puple acceptable, and suere of good werkis.

Kterýž dal sebe samého za nás, aby nás vykoupil od všeliké nepravosti, a očistil sobě samému lid zvláštní, horlivě následovný dobrých skutků.

15 Speke thou these thingis, and moneste thou, and repreue thou with al comaundement; no man dispise thee.

Toto mluv, a napomínej, a tresci mocně. Žádný tebou nepohrzej.
