Romans 3
1 What thanne is more to a Jew, or what profit of circumcisioun?
১তবে ইহূদিদের বিশেষ সুবিধা কি আছে? এবং ত্বকছেদ করেই বা লাভ কি?
2 Myche bi al wise; first, for the spekyngis of God `weren bitakun to hem.
২এটা সব দিক থেকে মহান। প্রথমত, ঈশ্বরের প্রকাশিত বাক্যে তাদের বিশ্বাস ছিল।
3 And what if summe of hem bileueden not? Whethir the vnbileue of hem hath auoidid the feith of God?
৩কারণ কোনো ইহূদি যদি অবিশ্বাসী হয়ে থাকে তাতেই বা কি? তাদের অবিশ্বাস কি ঈশ্বরের বিশ্বস্ততাকে ফলহীন করবে?
4 God forbede. For God is sothefast, but ech man a liere; as it is writun, That thou be iustified in thi wordis, and ouercome, whanne thou art demed.
৪তার কোনো মানে নেই। বরং, এমনকি প্রতিটি মানুষ মিথ্যাবাদী হলেও ঈশ্বরকে সত্য বলে স্বীকার করা হোক। যেমন শাস্ত্রে লেখা আছে, “তুমি হয়ত তোমার বাক্যে ধার্মিক বলে গণ্য হও এবং তুমি বিচারের দিন জয়ী হবে।”
5 But if oure wickidnesse comende the riytwisnesse of God, what shulen we seie? Whether God is wickid, that bryngith in wraththe?
৫কিন্তু আমাদের অধার্মিকতা ঈশ্বরের ধার্ম্মিকতা বুঝতে সাহায্য করে, আমরা তখন কি বলব? ঈশ্বর অধার্ম্মিক নয় যিনি ক্রোধে প্রতিফল দেন, তিনি কি অন্যায় করেন? আমি মানুষের বিচার অনুযায়ী বলছি।
6 Aftir man Y seie. God forbede. Ellis hou schal God deme this world?
৬ঈশ্বর কখনো অন্যায় করেন না। কারণ তাহলে ঈশ্বর কেমন করে পৃথিবীর মানুষকে বিচার করবেন?
7 For if the treuthe of God hath aboundid in my lessyng, in to the glorie of hym, what yit am Y demed as a synner?
৭কিন্তু আমার মিথ্যার মাধ্যমে যদি ঈশ্বরের সত্য প্রকাশ পায় এবং তাঁর গৌরব উপচিয়া পড়ে, তবে আমি এখনও পাপী বলে বিচারিত হচ্ছি কেন?
8 And not as we ben blasfemed, and as summen seien that we seien, Do we yuele thingis, that gode thingis come. Whos dampnacioun is iust.
৮আর কেনই বা বলব না যেমন আমাদের অনেক মন্দ আছে এবং যেমন তারা নিন্দা করে বলে যে আমরা বলে থাকি চল আমরা খারাপ কাজ করি, তবে যেন ভালো ফল পাওয়া যায়? তাদের জন্য বিচার অবশ্যই আছে।
9 What thanne? Passen we hem? Nay; for we han schewid bi skile, that alle bothe Jewis and Grekis ben vndur synne,
৯তারপর কি হলো? আমাদের অবস্থা কি অন্যদের থেকে ভালো? তা মোটেই নয়। কারণ আমরা এর আগে ইহূদি ও গ্রীক উভয়কে দোষ দিয়েছি যে, তারা সবাই পাপের মধ্যে আছে।
10 as it is writun, For ther is no man iust;
১০যেমন শাস্ত্রে লেখা আছে, “ধার্মিক কেউ নেই, একজনও নেই,
11 ther is no man vndurstondynge, nethir sekynge God.
১১এমন কেউই নেই যে সে বোঝে। কেউই এমন নেই যে সে ঈশ্বরের সন্ধান করে।
12 Alle bowiden a wey, togidere thei ben maad vnprofitable; ther is noon that doith good thing, there is noon `til to oon.
১২তারা সবাই বিপথে গিয়েছে, তারা একসঙ্গে অকেজো হয়েছে; এমন কেউ নেই যে ভালো কাজ করে, না, এতজনের মধ্যে একজনও নেই।
13 The throte of hem is an opyn sepulcre; with her tungis thei diden gilefuli; the venym of snakis is vndur her lippis.
১৩তাদের গলা যেন খোলা কবরের মত। তাদের জিভ ছলনা করেছে। তাদের ঠোঁটের নিচে সাপের বিষ থাকে।
14 The mouth of whiche is ful of cursyng and bitternesse;
১৪তাদের মুখ অভিশাপ ও খারাপ কথায় পরিপূর্ণ;
15 the feet of hem ben swifte to schede blood.
১৫তাদের পা রক্তপাতের জন্য জোরে চলে।
16 Sorewe and cursidnesse ben in the weies of hem,
১৬তাদের রাস্তায় ধ্বংস ও যন্ত্রণা থাকে।
17 and thei knewen not the weie of pees;
১৭তাদের কোনো শান্তির পথ জানা নেই।
18 the drede of God is not bifor her iyen.
১৮তাদের চোখে কোনো ঈশ্বর ভয় নেই।”
19 And we witen, that what euere thingis the lawe spekith, it spekith to hem that ben in the lawe, that ech mouth be stoppid, and ech world be maad suget to God.
১৯এখন আমরা জানি যে, আইনে যা কিছু বলেছে, তা আইনের মধ্যে আছে এমন লোককে বলেছে; যেন প্রত্যেক মানুষের মুখ বন্ধ এবং সব পৃথিবীর মানুষ ঈশ্বরের বিচারের মুখোমুখি হয়।
20 For of the werkis of the lawe ech fleisch schal not be iustified bifor hym; for bi the lawe ther is knowyng of synne.
২০এর কারণ হলো আইনের কাজ দিয়ে কোন মাংসই তাঁর সামনে ধার্মিক বলে গ্রহণ করা হবে না। কারণ আইন দিয়ে পাপের জ্ঞান আসে।
21 But now with outen the lawe the riytwisnesse of God is schewid, that is witnessid of the lawe and the profetis.
২১কিন্তু এখন আইন কানুন ছাড়াই ঈশ্বরের ধার্ম্মিকতা প্রকাশ হয়েছে, আর ব্যবস্থা ও ভাববাদীর মাধ্যমে তার জন্য সাক্ষ্য দেওয়া হচ্ছে।
22 And the riytwisnesse of God is bi the feith of Jhesu Crist in to alle men and on alle men that bileuen in hym; for ther is no departyng.
২২ঈশ্বরের সেই ধার্ম্মিকতা যীশু খ্রীষ্টে বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে যারা সবাই বিশ্বাস করে তাদের জন্য। কারণ সেখানে কোনো বিভেদ নেই।
23 For alle men synneden, and han nede to the glorie of God;
২৩কারণ সবাই পাপ করেছে এবং ঈশ্বরের গৌরব-বিহীন হয়েছে,
24 and ben iustified freli bi his grace, bi the ayenbiyng that is in `Crist Jhesu.
২৪সবাই বিনামূল্যে তাঁরই অনুগ্রহে, খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে প্রাপ্য মুক্তির মাধ্যমে ধার্মিক বলে গণ্য হয়।
25 Whom God ordeynede foryyuer, bi feith in his blood, to the schewyng of his riytwisnesse, for remyssioun of biforgoynge synnes,
২৫তাঁকেই ঈশ্বর তাঁর রক্তের বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে প্রায়শ্চিত্ত করেছেন অর্থাৎ তাঁর জীবন উত্সর্গ করেছেন; যেন তিনি নিজের ধার্ম্মিকতা দেখান কারণ ঈশ্বরের সহ্যের গুনে মানুষের আগের পাপগুলি ক্ষমা করে কোনো শাস্তি দেয় নি।
26 in the beryng up of God, to the schewyng of his riytwisnesse in this tyme, that he be iust, and iustifyynge hym that is of the feith of Jhesu Crist.
২৬আর এইগুলি হয়েছে যেন নিজের ধার্ম্মিকতা দেখান, কারণ যেন তিনি নিজে ধার্মিক থাকেন এবং যে কেউ যীশুতে বিশ্বাস করে তাকেও ধার্মিক বলে গণ্য করেন।
27 Where thanne is thi gloriyng? It is excludid. Bi what lawe? Of dedis doyng? Nay, but by the lawe of feith.
২৭তবে গর্ব কোথায় থাকলো? তা দূর হয়েছে। কিন্তু কিসের জন্য নেই? কাজের জন্য কি? না; কিন্তু বিশ্বাসের আইনের জন্যই।
28 For we demen a man to be iustified bi the feith, with outen werkis of the lawe.
২৮কারণ আমাদের মিমাংসা হলো আইন কানুনের কাজ ছাড়াই বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমেই মানুষ ধার্মিক বলে বিবেচিত হয়।
29 Whethir of Jewis is God oneli? Whether he is not also of hethene men? Yhis, and of hethene men.
২৯ঈশ্বর কি কেবল ইহূদিদের ঈশ্বর? তিনি কি অযিহূদীয়দেরও ঈশ্বর নন? হ্যাঁ, তিনি অযিহূদীদেরও ঈশ্বর।
30 For `oon God is, that iustefieth circumcisioun bi feith, and prepucie bi feith.
৩০কারণ ঈশ্বর এক, তিনি ছিন্নত্বক লোকদেরকে বিশ্বাসের জন্য এবং অচ্ছিন্নত্বক লোকদেরকে বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে ধার্মিক বলে গণনা করবেন।
31 Distruye we therfor the lawe bi the feith? God forbede; but we stablischen the lawe.
৩১তবে আমরা কি বিশ্বাস দিয়ে আইন কানুন বন্ধ করছি? তা কখনই না; বরং আমরা আইন কানুন প্রমাণ করছি।
