Romans 10
1 Britheren, the wille of myn herte and mi biseching is maad to God for hem in to helthe.
Ndugu zangu, ninataka na kutazamia kwa moyo wangu wote hao wananchi wenzangu wakombolewe. Tena nawaombea kwa Mungu daima.
2 But Y bere witnessyng to hem, that thei han loue of God, but not aftir kunnyng.
Maana naweza kuthibitisha kwa niaba yao kwamba wanayo bidii ya kumtafuta Mungu; lakini bidii hiyo haikujengwa juu ya ujuzi wa kweli.
3 For thei vnknowynge Goddis riytwisnesse, and sekynge to make stidefast her owne riytfulnesse, ben not suget to the riytwisnesse of God.
Maana hawakufahamu jinsi Mungu anavyowafanya watu wawe waadilifu, na wamejaribu kuanzisha mtindo wao wenyewe, na hivyo hawakuikubali njia hiyo ya Mungu ya kuwafanya wawe waadilifu.
4 For the ende of the lawe is Crist, to riytwisnesse to ech man that bileueth.
Maana kwa kuja kwake Kristo, Sheria imefikia kikomo chake, ili kila mtu anayeamini akubaliwe kuwa mwadilifu.
5 For Moises wroot, For the man that schal do riytwisnesse that is of the lawe, schal lyue in it.
Kuhusu kukubaliwa kuwa mwadilifu kwa kuitii Sheria, Mose aliandika hivi: “Mtu yeyote anayetimiza matakwa ya Sheria ataishi.”
6 But the riytwisnesse that is of bileue, seith thus, Seie thou not in thin herte, Who schal stie in to heuene? that is to seie, to lede doun Crist;
Lakini, kuhusu kukubaliwa kuwa mwadilifu kwa njia ya imani, yasemwa hivi: “Usiseme moyoni mwako: Nani atapanda mpaka mbinguni? (yaani, kumleta Kristo chini);
wala usiseme: Nani atashuka mpaka Kuzimu (yaani, kumleta Kristo kutoka kwa wafu).” (Abyssos g12)
8 But what seith the scripture? The word is nyy in thi mouth, and in thin herte; this is the word of bileue, which we prechen.
Maandiko Matakatifu yesema hivi, “Ujumbe huo wa Mungu uko karibu nawe, uko kinywani mwako na moyoni mwako” nao ndio ile imani tunayoihubiri.
9 That if thou knoulechist in thi mouth the Lord Jhesu Crist, and bileuest in thin herte, that God reiside hym fro deth, thou schalt be saaf.
Kama ukikiri kwa kinywa chako kwamba Yesu ni Bwana na kuamini moyoni mwako kwamba Mungu alimfufua kutoka wafu, utaokoka.
10 For bi herte me bileueth to riytwisnesse, but bi mouth knowleching is maad to helthe.
Maana tunaamini kwa moyo na kukubaliwa kuwa waadilifu; na tunakiri kwa midomo yetu na kuokolewa.
11 For whi the scripture seith, Ech that bileueth in hym, schal not be confoundid.
Maandiko Matakatifu yasema: “Kila amwaminiye hatakuwa na sababu ya kuaibika.”
12 And ther is no distinccioun of Jew and of Greke; for the same Lord of alle is riche in alle, that inwardli clepen hym.
Jambo hili ni kwa wote, kwani hakuna tofauti kati ya Wayahudi na wasio Wayahudi; Bwana wa wote ni mmoja, naye ni mkarimu sana kwao wote wamwombao.
13 For ech man `who euere schal inwardli clepe the name of the Lord, schal be saaf.
Maana Maandiko Matakatifu yasema: “Kila mtu atakayeomba kwa jina la Bwana, ataokolewa.”
14 Hou thanne schulen thei inwardli clepe hym, in to whom thei han not bileued? or hou schulen thei bileue to hym, whom thei han not herd? Hou schulen thei here, with outen a prechour?
Basi, watamwombaje yeye ambaye hawamwamini? Tena, watamwaminije kama hawajapata kusikia habari zake? Na watasikiaje habari zake kama hakuna mhubiri?
15 and hou schulen thei preche, but thei be sent? As it is writun, Hou faire ben the feet of hem that prechen pees, of hem that prechen good thingis.
Na watu watahubirije kama hawakutumwa? Kama yasemavyo Maandiko Matakatifu: “Ni jambo la kupendeza mno kuja kwa wale wanaohubiri Habari Njema!”
16 But not alle men obeien to the gospel. For Ysaie seith, Lord, who bileuede to oure heryng?
Lakini wote hawakuipokea hiyo Habari Njema. Maana Isaya alisema: “Bwana, ni nani aliyeamini ujumbe wetu?”
17 Therfor feith is of heryng, but heryng bi the word of Crist.
Hivyo basi, imani inatokana na kuusikiliza ujumbe, na huo ujumbe unatokana na neno la Kristo.
18 But Y seie, Whether thei herden not? Yhis, sothely the word of hem wente out in to al the erthe, and her wordis in to the endis of the world.
Lakini nauliza: je, hawakuusikia huo ujumbe? Naam, waliusikia; kama Maandiko Matakatifu yasemavyo: “Sauti yao imeenea duniani kote; maneno yao yamefika mpaka kingo za ulimwengu.”
19 But Y seie, Whether Israel knewe not? First Moyses seith, Y schal lede you to enuye, that ye ben no folc; that ye ben an vnwise folc, Y schal sende you in to wraththe.
Tena nauliza: je, yawezekana kwamba watu wa Israeli hawakufahamu? Mose mwenyewe ni kwa kwanza kujibu: “Nitawafanyeni mwaonee wivu watu ambao si taifa; nitawafanyeni muwe na hasira juu ya taifa la watu wapumbavu.”
20 And Ysaie is bold, and seith, Y am foundun of men that seken me not; opynli Y apperide to hem, that axiden not me.
Tena Isaya anathubutu hata kusema: “Wale ambao hawakunitafuta wamenipata; nimejionyesha kwao wasiouliza habari zangu.”
21 But to Israel he seith, Al dai Y streiyte out myn hondis to a puple that bileuede not, but ayen seide me.
Lakini kuhusu Israeli anasema: “Mchana kutwa niliwanyoshea mikono yangu watu waasi na wasiotii.”
