Revelation 16
1 And Y herde a greet vois fro heuene, seiynge to the seuene aungels, Go ye, and schede out the seuene viols of Goddis wraththe in to erthe.
Entonces escuché una gran voz que venía desde el Templo, y que decía a los siete ángeles: “Vayan y derramen las siete copas del juicio de Dios sobre la tierra”.
2 And the firste aungel wente, and schedde out his viol in to the erthe; and a wounde fers and werst was maad on alle that hadden the carect of the beeste, and on hem that worschipiden the beeste, and his ymage.
Entonces el primer ángel fue y derramó su copa sobre la tierra, y comenzaron a salir terribles y dolorosas llagas en las personas que tenían la marca de la bestia y que adoraban su imagen.
3 And the secounde aungel schedde out his viol in to the see, and the blood was maad, as of a deed thing; and ech man lyuynge was deed in the see.
Luego el segundo ángel derramó su copa sobre el mar, y se convirtió como la sangre de un cadáver, y todo lo que había en el mar murió.
4 And the thridde aungel schedde out his viol on the floodis, and on the wellis of watris, and seide,
Después el tercer ángel derramó su copa sobre los ríos y fuentes de agua, y el agua se convirtió en sangre.
5 Just art thou, Lord, that art, and that were hooli, that demest these thingis;
Y escuché al ángel que tenía el poder sobre las aguas, y declaró: “Tú eres realmente justo, tú, que eres y fuiste, el Santo, como lo demuestra este juicio.
6 for thei schedden out the blood of halewis and prophetis, and thou hast youun to hem blood to drinke; for thei ben worthi.
Estas personas derramaron la sangre de los creyentes. ¡Y ahora les das a beber sangre, como lo merecen!”
7 And I herde anothir seiynge, Yhe! Lord God almiyti, trewe and iust ben thi domes.
Entonces oí una voz que provenía desde el altar, diciendo: “Sí, oh, Señor, el Todopoderoso. ¡Tus juicios son justos y verdaderos!”
8 And the fourthe aungel schedde out his viol in to the sunne, and it was youun to hym to turmente men with heete and fier.
Y el cuarto ángel derramó su copa sobre el sol, y se le dio el poder de quemar a la gente con fuego.
9 And men swaliden with greet heete, and blasfemyden the name of God hauynge power on these plagis, nether thei diden penaunce, that thei schulden yyue glorie to hym.
Y se quemaban por el intenso calor, y maldecían el nombre de Dios, quien controlaba estas plagas. Y no se arrepentían ni le daban gloria.
10 And the fifte aungel schedde out his viol on the seete of the beeste, and his kyngdom was maad derk; and thei eten togidere her tungis for sorewe,
Luego el quinto ángel derramó su copa sobre el trono de la bestia, y vinieron tinieblas sobre su reino. La gente mordía sus lenguas por el dolor que sentían,
11 and thei blasfemyden God of heuene, for sorewis of her woundis; and thei diden not penaunce of her werkis.
y maldecían al Dios del cielo por causa de su dolor y sus llagas, pero no se arrepentían ni dejaban de hacer lo que estaban haciendo.
12 And the sixte aungel schedde out his viol in `that ilke greet flood Eufratis, and driede the watir of it, that weie were maad redi to kingis fro the sunne rysyng.
Luego el sexto ángel derramó su copa sobre el poderoso Río Éufrates, y su agua se secó, y así se abrió un camino para los reyes que venían del Este.
13 And Y say thre vnclene spiritis bi the manner of froggis go out of the mouth of the dragoun, and of the mouth of the beeste, and of the mouth of the fals prophete.
Entonces vi tres espíritus malos que parecían como ranas que salían de las bocas del dragón, la bestia, y el falso profeta.
14 For thei ben spiritis of deuels, makynge signes, and thei gon forth to kingis of al erthe, to gadere hem in to batel, to the greet dai of almiyti God.
Estos son los espíritus demoníacos que hacen milagros, que salen a reunir a todos los reyes de todo el mundo para la batalla en el día del juicio de Dios, el Todopoderoso.
15 Lo! Y come, as a niyt theefe. Blessid is he that wakith, and kepith hise clothis, that he wandre not nakid, and that thei se not the filthhed of hym.
(¡Estén atentos! Vendré como un ladrón. Benditos los que están vigilantes, y han alistado sus ropas para no tener que salir desnudos y ser avergonzados).
16 And he schal gadre hem in to a place, that is clepid in Ebreu Hermagedon.
Los espíritus malos reunieron a los reyes para la batalla en un lugar que en hebreo se llama Armagedón.
17 And the seuenthe aungel schedde out his viol in to the eyr, and a greet vois wente out of heuene fro the trone, and seide, It is don.
Entonces el séptimo ángel derramó su copa en el aire, y del Templo salió una gran voz, que venía desde el trono, y gritaba: “¡Está hecho!”
18 And leityngis weren maad, and voices, and thundris; and a greet erthe mouyng was maad, which manere neuere was, sithen men weren on erthe, siche `erthe mouyng so greet.
Entonces hubo relámpagos y truenos, y un gran terremoto sacudió la tierra. Y fue el peor terremoto que hubiera existido desde que hubo habitantes en la tierra.
19 And the greet citee was maad in to thre parties, and the citees of hethene men felden doun; and greet Babiloyne cam in to mynde byfor God, to yyue to it the cuppe of wyn of the indignacyoun of his wraththe.
La gran ciudad fue dividida en tres. Las ciudades de las naciones quedaron destruidas. Y se recordó, en presencia de Dios, que Babilonia, la grande, debía recibir la copa llena con el vino de su hostilidad.
20 And ech ile flei awei, and hillis ben not foundun.
Todas las islas se desvanecieron, y todas las montañas desaparecieron.
21 And greet hail as a talent cam doun fro heuene in to men; and men blasfemyden God, for the plage of hail, for it was maad ful greet.
Cayó del cielo una gran tormenta de granizo sobre la gente, y cada piedra pesaba cien libras. Y la gente maldecía a Dios porque la plaga del granizo era terrible en gran manera.
