Psalms 94
1 God is Lord of veniauncis; God of veniauncis dide freli.
¡El Señor es un Dios de venganza! Dios de venganza, ¡manifiéstate!
2 Be thou enhaunsid that demest the erthe; yelde thou yeldinge to proude men.
Levántate, juez de la tierra, y dales a los orgullosos lo que merecen.
3 Lord, hou longe synneris; hou longe schulen synneris haue glorie?
¿Por cuánto tiempo más, Señor? ¿Por cuánto tiempo más celebrarán los malvados en triunfo?
4 Thei schulen telle out, and schulen speke wickidnesse; alle men schulen speke that worchen vnriytfulnesse.
¿Por cuánto tiempo más los dejarás esparcir por ahí sus palabras arrogantes? ¿Por cuánto tiempo más irá por ahí alardeándose esta gente mala?
5 Lord, thei han maad lowe thi puple; and thei han disesid thin eritage.
Señor, ellos aplastan a tu pueblo; oprimen a aquellos que llamas tuyos.
6 Thei killiden a widowe and a comelyng; and thei han slayn fadirles children and modirles.
Matan viudas y extranjeros; asesinan huérfanos.
7 And thei seiden, The Lord schal not se; and God of Jacob schal not vndurstonde.
Dicen, “El Señor no puede ver lo que estamos haciendo. El Dios de Israel no nos presta atención”.
8 Ye vnwise men in the puple, vndirstonde; and, ye foolis, lerne sum tyme.
Presten atención, ¡Gente necia! Tontos, ¿Cuándo van a entender?
9 Schal not he here, that plauntide the eere; ethere biholdith not he, that made the iye?
¿Creen que el creador del oído no puede oír? ¿Acaso creen que el creador de los ojos no puede ver?
10 Schal not he repreue, that chastisith folkis; which techith man kunnyng?
¿Creen que el que castiga a todas las naciones no los castigará también? O, ¿Creen que el que les enseña a los seres humanos sobre el conocimiento no sabe nada?
11 The Lord knowith the thouytis of men; that tho ben veyne.
El Señor conoce los pensamientos de los seres humanos, él sabe que no tienen sentido.
12 Blessid is the man, whom thou, Lord, hast lerned; and hast tauyt him of thi lawe.
Aquellos que disciplinas son felices, Señor; aquellos a los que enseñas en tu ley.
13 That thou aswage hym fro yuele daies; til a diche be diggid to the synner.
Les das paz en los días atribulados, hasta que el pozo esté cavado para atrapar al malo.
14 For the Lord schal not putte awei his puple; and he schal not forsake his eritage.
Porque el Señor no se rendirá con su pueblo; él no abandonará a los suyos.
15 Til riytfulnesse be turned in to dom; and who ben niy it, alle that ben of riytful herte.
La justicia será basada otra vez en lo que es correcto; los verdaderos de corazón lo apoyarán.
16 Who schal rise with me ayens mysdoeris; ether who schal stonde with me ayens hem that worchen wickidnesse?
¿Quién vino en mi defensa contra los malvados; quién se opuso por mí contra los que hacen el mal?
17 No but for the Lord helpide me; almest my soule hadde dwellid in helle.
Si el Señor no me hubiera ayudado, pronto hubiera descendido al silencio de la tierra.
18 If Y seide, My foot was stirid; Lord, thi merci helpide me.
Grité, “¡Mi pie resbala!” y tu gran amor, Señor, me impidió caer.
19 Aftir the multitude of my sorewis in myn herte; thi coumfortis maden glad my soule.
Cuando mi mente está llena de preocupaciones, tú me confortas y me animas.
20 Whether the seete of wickidnesse cleueth to thee; that makist trauel in comaundement?
¿Pueden los jueces injustos realmente estar de tu lado, Señor? ¿Aun cuando su corrupción de la ley causa miseria?
21 Thei schulen take ayens the soule of a iust man; and thei schulen condempne innocent blood.
Ellos trabajan juntos para destruir a la gente buena; condenan a gente inocente a muerte.
22 And the Lord was maad to me in to refuyt; and my God was maad in to the help of myn hope.
Pero el Señor me protege como un escudo; mi Señor es la roca que me mantiene a salvo.
23 And he schal yelde to hem the wickidnesse of hem; and in the malice of hem he schal lese hem, oure Lord God schal lese hem.
Volverá la maldad de los malos sobre ellos; los destruirá por causa de su pecado; el Señor nuestro Dios los destruirá.
