Psalms 90
1 The preier of Moises, the man of God. Lord, thou art maad help to vs; fro generacioun in to generacioun.
Senhor, tu tens sido o nosso refugio, de geração em geração.
2 Bifore that hillis weren maad, ether the erthe and the world was formed; fro the world and in to the world thou art God.
Antes que os montes nascessem, ou que tu formasses a terra e o mundo, mesmo de eternidade em eternidade, tu és Deus.
3 Turne thou not awei a man in to lownesse; and thou seidist, Ye sones of men, be conuertid.
Tu reduzes o homem á destruição; e dizes: Tornae-vos, filhos dos homens.
4 For a thousynde yeer ben bifore thin iyen; as yistirdai, which is passid, and as keping in the niyt.
Porque mil annos são aos teus olhos como o dia de hontem quando passou, e como a vigilia da noite.
5 The yeeris of hem schulen be; that ben had for nouyt.
Tu os levas como com uma corrente d'agua: são como um somno: de manhã são como a herva que cresce.
6 Eerli passe he, as an eerbe, eerli florische he, and passe; in the euentid falle he doun, be he hard, and wexe drie.
De madrugada floresce e se muda: á tarde se corta e se secca.
7 For we han failid in thin ire; and we ben disturblid in thi strong veniaunce.
Pois somos consumidos pela tua ira, e pelo teu furor somos angustiados.
8 Thou hast set oure wickidnessis in thi siyt; oure world in the liytning of thi cheer.
Diante de ti pozeste as nossas iniquidades: os nossos peccados occultos á luz do teu rosto.
9 For alle oure daies han failid; and we han failid in thin ire. Oure yeris schulen bithenke, as an yreyn;
Pois todos os nossos dias vão passando na tua indignação; passamos os nossos annos como um conto que se conta.
10 the daies of oure yeeris ben in tho seuenti yeeris. Forsothe, if fourescoor yeer ben in myyti men; and the more tyme of hem is trauel and sorewe. For myldenesse cam aboue; and we schulen be chastisid.
Os dias da nossa vida chegam a setenta annos, e se alguns pela sua robustez chegam a oitenta annos, o orgulho d'elles é canceira e enfado, pois cedo se corta e vamos voando.
11 Who knew the power of thin ire; and durste noumbre thin ire for thi drede?
Quem conhece o poder da tua ira? segundo és tremendo, assim é o teu furor.
12 Make thi riythond so knowun; and make men lerned in herte bi wisdom.
Ensina-nos a contar os nossos dias, de tal maneira que alcancemos corações sabios.
13 Lord, be thou conuertid sumdeel; and be thou able to be preied on thi seruauntis.
Volta-te para nós, Senhor: até quando? e aplaca-te para com os teus servos.
14 We weren fillid eerli with thi merci; we maden ful out ioye, and we delitiden in alle oure daies.
Farta-nos de madrugada com a tua benignidade, para que nos regozijemos, e nos alegremos todos os nossos dias.
15 We weren glad for the daies in whiche thou madist vs meke; for the yeeris in whiche we siyen yuels.
Alegra-nos pelos dias em que nos affligiste, e pelos annos em que vimos o mal.
16 Lord, biholde thou into thi seruauntis, and in to thi werkis; and dresse thou the sones of hem.
Appareça a tua obra aos teus servos, e a tua gloria sobre seus filhos.
17 And the schynyng of oure Lord God be on vs; and dresse thou the werkis of oure hondis on vs, and dresse thou the werk of oure hondis.
E seja sobre nós a formosura do Senhor, nosso Deus: e confirma sobre nós a obra das nossas mãos; sim, confirma a obra das nossas mãos.
