Psalms 90
1 The preier of Moises, the man of God. Lord, thou art maad help to vs; fro generacioun in to generacioun.
परमेश्वर के प्रिय पात्र मोशेह की एक प्रार्थना प्रभु, समस्त पीढ़ियों में आप हमारे आश्रय-स्थल बने रहे हैं.
2 Bifore that hillis weren maad, ether the erthe and the world was formed; fro the world and in to the world thou art God.
इसके पूर्व कि पर्वत अस्तित्व में आते अथवा पृथ्वी तथा संसार की रचना की जाती, अनादि से अनंत तक परमेश्वर आप ही हैं.
3 Turne thou not awei a man in to lownesse; and thou seidist, Ye sones of men, be conuertid.
आप मनुष्य को यह कहकर पुनः धूल में लौटा देते हैं, “मानव-पुत्र, लौट जा.”
4 For a thousynde yeer ben bifore thin iyen; as yistirdai, which is passid, and as keping in the niyt.
आपके लिए एक हजार वर्ष वैसे ही होते हैं, जैसे गत कल का दिन; अथवा रात्रि का एक प्रहर.
5 The yeeris of hem schulen be; that ben had for nouyt.
आप मनुष्यों को ऐसे समेट ले जाते हैं, जैसे बाढ़; वे स्वप्न मात्र होते हैं— प्रातःकाल में बढ़ने वाली कोमल घास के समान:
6 Eerli passe he, as an eerbe, eerli florische he, and passe; in the euentid falle he doun, be he hard, and wexe drie.
जो प्रातःकाल फूलती है, उसमें बढ़ती है, किंतु संध्या होते-होते यह मुरझाती और सूख जाती है.
7 For we han failid in thin ire; and we ben disturblid in thi strong veniaunce.
आपका कोप हमें मिटा डालता है, आपकी अप्रसन्नता हमें घबरा देती है.
8 Thou hast set oure wickidnessis in thi siyt; oure world in the liytning of thi cheer.
हमारे अपराध आपके सामने खुले हैं, आपकी उपस्थिति में हमारे गुप्त पाप प्रकट हो जाते हैं.
9 For alle oure daies han failid; and we han failid in thin ire. Oure yeris schulen bithenke, as an yreyn;
हमारे जीवन के दिन आपके क्रोध की छाया में ही व्यतीत होते हैं; हम कराहते हुए ही अपने वर्ष पूर्ण करते हैं.
10 the daies of oure yeeris ben in tho seuenti yeeris. Forsothe, if fourescoor yeer ben in myyti men; and the more tyme of hem is trauel and sorewe. For myldenesse cam aboue; and we schulen be chastisid.
हमारी जीवन अवधि सत्तर वर्ष है—संभवतः अस्सी वर्ष, यदि हम बलिष्ठ हैं; हमारी आयु का अधिकांश हम दुःख और कष्ट में व्यतीत करते हैं, हां, ये तीव्र गति से समाप्त हो जाते हैं और हम कूच कर जाते हैं.
11 Who knew the power of thin ire; and durste noumbre thin ire for thi drede?
आपके कोप की शक्ति की जानकारी कौन ले सका है! आपका कोप उतना ही व्यापक है जितना कि लोगों के द्वारा आपका भय मानना.
12 Make thi riythond so knowun; and make men lerned in herte bi wisdom.
हमें जीवन की न्यूनता की धर्ममय विवेचना करने की अंतर्दृष्टि प्रदान कीजिए, कि हमारा हृदय बुद्धिमान हो जाए.
13 Lord, be thou conuertid sumdeel; and be thou able to be preied on thi seruauntis.
याहवेह! मृदु हो जाइए, और कितना विलंब? कृपा कीजिए-अपने सेवकों पर.
14 We weren fillid eerli with thi merci; we maden ful out ioye, and we delitiden in alle oure daies.
प्रातःकाल में ही हमें अपने करुणा-प्रेम से संतुष्ट कर दीजिए, कि हम आजीवन उल्लसित एवं हर्षित रहें.
15 We weren glad for the daies in whiche thou madist vs meke; for the yeeris in whiche we siyen yuels.
हमारे उतने ही दिनों को आनंद से तृप्त कर दीजिए, जितने दिन आपने हमें ताड़ना दी थी, उतने ही दिन, जितने वर्ष हमने दुर्दशा में व्यतीत किए हैं.
16 Lord, biholde thou into thi seruauntis, and in to thi werkis; and dresse thou the sones of hem.
आपके सेवकों के सामने आपके महाकार्य स्पष्ट हो जाएं और उनकी संतान पर आपका वैभव.
17 And the schynyng of oure Lord God be on vs; and dresse thou the werkis of oure hondis on vs, and dresse thou the werk of oure hondis.
हम पर प्रभु, हमारे परमेश्वर की मनोहरता स्थिर रहे; तथा हमारे लिए हमारे हाथों के परिश्रम को स्थायी कीजिए— हां, हमारे हाथों का परिश्रम स्थायी रहे.
