Psalms 9
1 In to the ende, for the pryuytees of the sone, the salm of Dauid. Lord, Y schal knouleche to thee in al myn herte; Y schal telle alle thi merueils.
| برای رهبر سرایندگان: مزمور داوود، در مایۀ «مرگ پسر». ای خداوند، با تمام وجود تو را می‌ستایم و از کارهای شگفت‌انگیز تو سخن می‌رانم. |
2 Thou hiyeste, Y schal be glad, and Y schal be fulli ioieful in thee; Y schal synge to thi name.
| تو شادی و خوشی من هستی و من در وصف تو، ای خدای متعال، می‌سرایم. |
3 For thou turnest myn enemy abac; thei schulen be maad feble, and schulen perische fro thi face.
| دشمنانم عقب‌نشینی کرده، در حضور تو بر زمین خواهند افتاد و هلاک خواهند شد، |
4 For thou hast maad my doom and my cause; thou, that demest riytfulnesse, `hast set on the trone.
| زیرا تو ای داور عادل بر مسند خود نشسته‌ای و از حق من دفاع می‌کنی. |
5 Thou blamedist hethene men, and the wickid perischide; thou hast do awei the name of hem in to the world, and in to the world of world.
| تو قومهای شرور را محکوم و نابود کرده‌ای و نام آنها را از صفحهٔ روزگار محو ساخته‌ای. |
6 The swerdis of the enemy failiden in to the ende; and thou hast distried the citees of hem. The mynde of hem perischide with sown;
| دشمنان ما را به کلی ریشه‌کن نموده‌ای و شهرهای آنها را ویران کرده‌ای به طوری که حتی نامی از آنها نیز باقی نمانده است. |
7 and the Lord dwellith with outen ende. He made redi his trone in doom; and he schal deme the world in equite,
| خداوند تا به ابد پادشاه است. او مسند داوری خود را برقرار کرده |
8 he schal deme puplis in riytfulnesse.
| تا بر قومهای دنیا با عدل و انصاف داوری نماید. |
9 And the Lord is maad refuyt, `ether help, `to a pore man; an helpere in couenable tymes in tribulacioun.
| خداوند پناهگاه رنجدیدگان است و ایشان را در سختیها حفظ می‌کند. |
10 And thei, that knowen thi name, haue hope in thee; for thou, Lord, hast not forsake hem that seken thee.
| خداوندا، کسانی که تو را می‌شناسند، به تو پناه می‌آورند زیرا تو هرگز طالبان خود را ترک نکرده‌ای. |
11 Synge ye to the Lord, that dwellith in Syon; telle ye hise studyes among hethene men.
| در وصف خداوند که در اورشلیم سلطنت می‌کند، بسرایید! کارهای او را در میان همهٔ قومها اعلام کنید! |
12 God foryetith not the cry of pore men; for he hath mynde, and sekith the blood of hem.
| زیرا او قاتلان را بی‌سزا نخواهد گذاشت و فریاد ستمدیدگان را فراموش نخواهد کرد. |
13 Lord, haue thou merci on me; se thou my mekenesse of myn enemyes.
| ای خداوند، ببین دشمنانم چگونه به من ظلم می‌کنند. بر من رحم کن و مرا از چنگال مرگ رهایی دِه |
14 Which enhaunsist me fro the yatis of deeth; that Y telle alle thi preisyngis in the yatis of the douyter of Syon.
| تا تو را در حضور همهٔ مردم اورشلیم ستایش کنم و به سبب این رهایی شادی نمایم. |
15 Y schal `be fulli ioyeful in thin helthe; hethene men ben fast set in the perisching, which thei maden. In this snare, which thei hidden, the foot of hem is kauyt.
| دشمنان در چاهی که برای دیگران کنده بودند، افتاده‌اند و در دامهایی که برای دیگران گذاشته بودند گرفتار شده‌اند. |
16 The Lord makynge domes schal be knowun; the synnere is takun in the werkis of hise hondis.
| خداوند بدکاران را در دامهای خودشان گرفتار می‌کند و نشان می‌دهد که خدای عادلی است. |
| همهٔ بدکاران و تمام قومهایی که خدا را از یاد می‌برند هلاک خواهند شد. (Sheol h7585) |
18 For the foryetyng of a pore man schal not be in to the ende; the pacience of pore men schal not perische in to the ende.
| بیچارگان و ستمدیدگان سرانجام به یاد آورده خواهند شد و امیدشان بر باد نخواهد رفت. |
19 Lord, rise thou vp, a man be not coumfortid; folkis be demyd in thi siyt.
| برخیز، ای خداوند! نگذار انسان پیروز شود؛ باشد که قومها در حضور تو داوری شوند. |
20 Lord, ordeine thou a lawe makere on hem; wite folkis, that thei ben men.
| آنها را به وحشت انداز تا بفهمند که انسان فانی‌ای بیش نیستند. |
