Psalms 86
1 The preier of Dauid. Lord, bowe doun thin eere, and here me; for Y am nedi and pore.
Psalmus, Oratio David. Inclina Domine aurem tuam, et exaudi me: quoniam inops, et pauper sum ego.
2 Kepe thou my lijf, for Y am holi; my God, make thou saaf thi seruaunt hopynge in thee.
Custodi animam meam, quoniam sanctus sum: salvum fac servum tuum, Deus meus, sperantem in te.
3 Lord, haue thou merci on me, for Y criede al day to thee;
Miserere mei Domine, quoniam ad te clamavi tota die:
4 make thou glad the soule of thi seruaunt, for whi, Lord, Y haue reisid my soule to thee.
laetifica animam servi tui, quoniam ad te Domine animam meam levavi.
5 For thou, Lord, art swete and mylde; and of myche merci to alle men inwardli clepynge thee.
Quoniam tu Domine suavis, et mitis: et multae misericordiae omnibus invocantibus te.
6 Lord, perseyue thou my preier with eeris; and yyue thou tente to the vois of my bisechyng.
Auribus percipe Domine orationem meam: et intende voci deprecationis meae.
7 In the dai of my tribulacioun Y criede to thee; for thou herdist me.
In die tribulationis meae clamavi ad te: quia exaudisti me,
8 Lord, noon among goddis is lijk thee; and noon is euene to thi werkis.
Non est similis tui in diis Domine: et non est secundum opera tua.
9 Lord, alle folkis, whiche euere thou madist, schulen come, and worschipe bifore thee; and thei schulen glorifie thi name.
Omnes gentes quascumque fecisti, venient, et adorabunt coram te Domine: et glorificabunt nomen tuum.
10 For thou art ful greet, and makinge merueils; thou art God aloone.
Quoniam magnus es tu, et faciens mirabilia: tu es Deus solus.
11 Lord, lede thou me forth in thi weie, and Y schal entre in thi treuthe; myn herte be glad, that it drede thi name.
Deduc me Domine in via tua, et ingrediar in veritate tua: laetetur cor meum ut timeat nomen tuum.
12 Mi Lord God, Y schal knouleche to thee in al myn herte; and Y schal glorifie thi name withouten ende.
Confitebor tibi Domine Deus meus in toto corde meo. et glorificabo nomen tuum in aeternum:
Quia misericordia tua magna est super me: et eruisti animam meam ex inferno inferiori. (Sheol h7585)
14 God, wickid men han rise vp on me; and the synagoge of myyti men han souyt my lijf; and thei han not set forth thee in her siyt.
Deus, iniqui insurrexerunt super me, et synagoga potentium quaesierunt animam meam: et non proposuerunt te in conspectu suo.
15 And thou, Lord God, doynge merci, and merciful; pacient, and of myche merci, and sothefast.
Et tu Domine Deus miserator et misericors, patiens, et multae misericordiae, et verax,
16 Biholde on me, and haue mercy on me, yyue thou the empire to thi child; and make thou saaf the sone of thin handmayden.
Respice in me, et miserere mei, da imperium tuum puero tuo: et salvum fac filium ancillae tuae.
17 Make thou with me a signe in good, that thei se, that haten me, and be aschamed; for thou, Lord, hast helpid me, and hast coumfortid me.
Fac mecum signum in bonum, ut videant qui oderunt me, et confundantur: quoniam tu Domine adiuvisti me, et consolatus es me.
