Psalms 85
1 Of the sones of Chore. Lord, thou hast blessid thi lond; thou hast turned awei the caitifte of Jacob.
För sångmästaren; av Koras söner; en psalm. HERRE, du var förr ditt land nådig, du upprättade åter Jakobs hus.
2 Thou hast foryoue the wickidnesse of thi puple; thou hast hilid alle the synnes of hem.
Du förlät ditt folks missgärning, du överskylde all dess synd. (Sela)
3 Thou hast aswagid al thin ire; thou hast turned awei fro the ire of thin indignacioun.
Du lät all din förgrymmelse fara och vände dig ifrån din vredes glöd.
4 God, oure helthe, conuerte thou vs; and turne awei thin ire fro vs.
Så vänd dig nu åter till oss, du vår frälsnings Gud, och upphör med din förtörnelse mot oss.
5 Whether thou schalt be wrooth to vs withouten ende; ether schalt thou holde forth thin ire fro generacioun in to generacioun?
Vill du då vredgas på oss evinnerligen och låta din vrede vara från släkte till släkte?
6 God, thou conuertid schalt quykene vs; and thi puple schal be glad in thee.
Vill du icke åter giva oss liv, så att ditt folk får glädjas i dig?
7 Lord, schewe thi merci to vs; and yyue thin helthe to vs.
HERRE, låt oss se din nåd, och giv oss din frälsning.
8 I schal here what the Lord God schal speke in me; for he schal speke pees on his puple. And on hise hooli men; and on hem that ben turned to herte.
Jag vill höra vad Gud, HERREN, talar: se, han talar frid till sitt folk och till sina fromma; må de blott icke vända åter till dårskap.
9 Netheles his helthe is niy men dredynge him; that glorie dwelle in oure lond.
Ja, hans frälsning är nära dem som frukta honom, och så skall ära bo i vårt land.
10 Merci and treuthe metten hem silf; riytwisnesse and pees weren kissid.
Godhet och trofasthet skola där mötas, rättfärdighet och frid kyssas;
11 Treuthe cam forth of erthe; and riytfulnesse bihelde fro heuene.
trofasthet skall växa upp ur jorden och rättfärdighet blicka ned från himmelen.
12 For the Lord schal yyue benignyte; and oure erthe schal yyue his fruyt.
HERREN skall giva oss vad gott är, och vårt land skall giva sin gröda.
13 Riytfulnesse schal go bifore him; and schal sette hise steppis in the weie.
Rättfärdighet skall gå framför honom, den skall ock stadigt följa i hans spår.
