Psalms 83
1 The song of the salm of Asaph. God, who schal be lijk thee? God, be thou not stille, nether be thou peesid.
O cântare sau un psalm a lui Asaf. Nu păstra tăcere, Dumnezeule, nu tăcea și nu te liniști, Dumnezeule.
2 For lo! thin enemyes sowneden; and thei that haten thee reisiden the heed.
Căci, iată, dușmanii tăi fac tumult și cei ce te urăsc au înălțat capul.
3 Thei maden a wickid counsel on thi puple; and thei thouyten ayens thi seyntis.
Au ținut sfat viclean împotriva poporului tău și s-au înțeles împotriva celor ascunși ai tăi.
4 Thei seiden, Come ye, and leese we hem fro the folk; and the name of Israel be no more hadde in mynde.
Ei au spus: Veniți să îi stârpim din a fi o națiune, ca numele lui Israel să nu mai fie în amintire.
5 For thei thouyten with oon acord;
Căci s-au înțeles împreună într-un singur acord, sunt aliați împotriva ta,
6 the tabernaclis of Ydumeys, and men of Ismael disposiden a testament togidere ayens thee. Moab, and Agarenus, Jebal, and Amon, and Amalech;
Corturile din Edom și ismaeliții; din Moab și hagarenii;
7 alienys with hem that dwellen in Tyre.
Ghebal și Amon și Amalec; filistenii cu locuitorii Tirului;
8 For Assur cometh with hem; thei ben maad in to help to the sones of Loth.
Așur de asemenea li s-a alăturat, au dat ajutor copiilor lui Lot. (Selah)
9 Make thou to hem as to Madian, and Sisara; as to Jabyn in the stronde of Sison.
Fă-le ca madianiților; ca lui Sisera, ca lui Iabin, la pârâul din Chison,
10 Thei perischiden in Endor; thei weren maad as a toord of erthe.
Care au pierit la Endor, au devenit ca balega pentru pământ.
11 Putte thou the prynces of hem as Oreb and Zeb; and Zebee and Salmana. Alle the princis of hem, that seiden;
Fă-i pe nobilii lor ca pe Oreb și ca pe Zeeb, da, pe toți prinții lor ca pe Zebah și ca pe Țalmuna,
12 Holde we bi eritage the seyntuarie of God.
Care au spus: Să luăm în stăpânire casele lui Dumnezeu.
13 My God, putte thou hem as a whele; and as stobil bifor the face of the wynde.
Dumnezeul meu, fă-i ca o roată; ca paiele înaintea vântului.
14 As fier that brenneth a wode; and as flawme brynnynge hillis.
Așa cum focul arde o pădure și așa cum flacăra aprinde munții,
15 So thou schalt pursue hem in thi tempeste; and thou schalt disturble hem in thin ire.
Așa să îi persecuți cu furtuna ta și să îi înspăimânți cu vijelia ta.
16 Lord, fille thou the faces of hem with schenschipe; and thei schulen seke thi name.
Umple fețele lor cu rușine, ca să caute numele tău, DOAMNE.
17 Be thei aschamed, and be thei disturblid in to world of world; and be thei schent and perische thei.
Să fie încurcați și tulburați pentru totdeauna; da, să fie dați de rușine și să piară,
18 And knowe thei, that the Lord is name to thee; thou aloone art the hiyeste in ech lond.
Ca să știe că tu, singurul al cărui nume este IEHOVA, ești cel preaînalt peste tot pământul.
