Psalms 83
1 The song of the salm of Asaph. God, who schal be lijk thee? God, be thou not stille, nether be thou peesid.
Cantique et Psaume d'Asaph. Ô Dieu! ne garde point le silence, ne te tais point, et ne te tiens point en repos, [ô Dieu Fort!]
2 For lo! thin enemyes sowneden; and thei that haten thee reisiden the heed.
Car voici, tes ennemis bruient; et ceux qui te haïssent ont levé la tête.
3 Thei maden a wickid counsel on thi puple; and thei thouyten ayens thi seyntis.
Ils ont consulté finement en secret contre ton peuple, et ils ont tenu conseil contre ceux qui se sont retirés vers toi pour se cacher.
4 Thei seiden, Come ye, and leese we hem fro the folk; and the name of Israel be no more hadde in mynde.
Ils ont dit: venez, et détruisons-les, en sorte qu'ils ne soient plus une nation, et qu'on ne fasse plus mention du nom d'Israël.
5 For thei thouyten with oon acord;
Car ils ont consulté ensemble d'un même esprit; ils ont fait alliance contre toi.
6 the tabernaclis of Ydumeys, and men of Ismael disposiden a testament togidere ayens thee. Moab, and Agarenus, Jebal, and Amon, and Amalech;
Les tentes des Iduméens, des Ismaélites, des Moabites, et des Hagaréniens;
7 alienys with hem that dwellen in Tyre.
les Guébalites, les Hammonites, les Hamalécites, et les Philistins, avec les habitants de Tyr.
8 For Assur cometh with hem; thei ben maad in to help to the sones of Loth.
Assur aussi s'est joint avec eux; ils ont servi de bras aux enfants de Lot: (Sélah)
9 Make thou to hem as to Madian, and Sisara; as to Jabyn in the stronde of Sison.
Fais-leur comme tu fis à Madian, comme à Sisera, [et] comme à Jabin, auprès du torrent de Kison;
10 Thei perischiden in Endor; thei weren maad as a toord of erthe.
Qui furent défaits à Hen-dor, et servirent de fumier à la terre.
11 Putte thou the prynces of hem as Oreb and Zeb; and Zebee and Salmana. Alle the princis of hem, that seiden;
Fais que les principaux d'entr'eux soient comme Horeb, et comme Zéeb; et que tous leurs Princes soient comme Zébah et Tsalmunah;
12 Holde we bi eritage the seyntuarie of God.
Parce qu'ils ont dit: conquérons-nous les habitations agréables de Dieu.
13 My God, putte thou hem as a whele; and as stobil bifor the face of the wynde.
Mon Dieu! rends-les semblables à une boule, et au chaume chassé par le vent;
14 As fier that brenneth a wode; and as flawme brynnynge hillis.
Comme le feu brûle une forêt, et comme la flamme embrase les montagnes.
15 So thou schalt pursue hem in thi tempeste; and thou schalt disturble hem in thin ire.
Poursuis-les ainsi par ta tempête, et épouvante-les par ton tourbillon.
16 Lord, fille thou the faces of hem with schenschipe; and thei schulen seke thi name.
Couvre leurs visages d'ignominie, afin qu'on cherche ton Nom, ô Eternel!
17 Be thei aschamed, and be thei disturblid in to world of world; and be thei schent and perische thei.
Qu'ils soient honteux et épouvantés à jamais, qu'ils rougissent, et qu'ils périssent;
18 And knowe thei, that the Lord is name to thee; thou aloone art the hiyeste in ech lond.
Afin qu'on connaisse que toi seul, qui as nom l’Eternel, es Souverain sur toute la terre.
