Psalms 82

1 Of Asaph. God stood in the synagoge of goddis; forsothe he demeth goddis in the myddil.

Bog stoji v skupnosti mogočnih, sodi med bogovi.

2 Hou longe demen ye wickidnesse; and taken the faces of synneris?

»Doklej boste nepravično sodili in sprejemali zunanjost zlobnih? (Sela)

3 Deme ye to the nedi man, and to the modirles child; iustifie ye the meke man and pore.

Branite revne in osirotele, ravnajte pravično prizadetim in pomoči potrebnim.

4 Raueische ye out a pore man; and delyuere ye the nedi man fro the hond of the synner.

Osvobodite uboge in pomoči potrebne, odstranite jih iz roke zlobnih.«

5 Thei knewen not, nether vndirstoden, thei goen in derknessis; alle the foundementis of erthe schulen be moued.

Ne vedo niti ne bodo razumeli, hodijo v temi. Vsi temelji zemlje so izven naravnega reda.

6 I seide, Ye ben goddis; and alle ye ben the sones of hiy God.

Rekel sem: »Vi ste bogovi in vsi izmed vas ste otroci Najvišjega.

7 But ye schulen die as men; and ye schulen falle doun as oon of the princis.

Vendar boste umrli kakor ljudje in padli kakor kdo izmed princev.«

8 Ryse, thou God, deme thou the erthe; for thou schalt haue eritage in alle folkis.

Vstani, oh Bog, sodi zemljo, kajti ti boš podedoval vse narode.
