Psalms 82

1 Of Asaph. God stood in the synagoge of goddis; forsothe he demeth goddis in the myddil.

Salmo di Asaf IDDIO è presente nella raunanza di Dio; Egli giudica nel mezzo degl'iddii.

2 Hou longe demen ye wickidnesse; and taken the faces of synneris?

Infino a quando giudicherete voi ingiustamente, Ed avrete riguardo alla qualità delle persone degli empi? (Sela)

3 Deme ye to the nedi man, and to the modirles child; iustifie ye the meke man and pore.

Fate ragione al misero ed all'orfano; Fate diritto all'afflitto ed al povero.

4 Raueische ye out a pore man; and delyuere ye the nedi man fro the hond of the synner.

Liberate il misero ed il bisognoso; Riscotete[lo] dalla mano degli empi.

5 Thei knewen not, nether vndirstoden, thei goen in derknessis; alle the foundementis of erthe schulen be moued.

Essi non hanno alcun conoscimento, nè senno; Camminano in tenebre; Tutti i fondamenti della terra sono smossi.

6 I seide, Ye ben goddis; and alle ye ben the sones of hiy God.

Io ho detto: Voi [siete] dii; E tutti [siete] figliuoli dell'Altissimo.

7 But ye schulen die as men; and ye schulen falle doun as oon of the princis.

Tuttavolta voi morrete come un altro uomo, E caderete come qualunque [altro] de' principi.

8 Ryse, thou God, deme thou the erthe; for thou schalt haue eritage in alle folkis.

Levati, o Dio, giudica la terra; Perciocchè tu devi essere il possessore di tutte le genti.
