Psalms 82

1 Of Asaph. God stood in the synagoge of goddis; forsothe he demeth goddis in the myddil.

Aasafin virsi. Jumala seisoo jumalien kokouksessa, hän on tuomari jumalien keskellä:

2 Hou longe demen ye wickidnesse; and taken the faces of synneris?

"Kuinka kauan te tuomitsette väärin ja pidätte jumalattomain puolta?" (Sela)

3 Deme ye to the nedi man, and to the modirles child; iustifie ye the meke man and pore.

"Auttakaa oikeuteensa vaivainen ja orpo, antakaa kurjalle ja puutteenalaiselle oikeus.

4 Raueische ye out a pore man; and delyuere ye the nedi man fro the hond of the synner.

Vapauttakaa vaivainen ja köyhä, pelastakaa hänet jumalattomain käsistä.

5 Thei knewen not, nether vndirstoden, thei goen in derknessis; alle the foundementis of erthe schulen be moued.

Ei ole heillä älyä, ei ymmärrystä, he vaeltavat pimeydessä: kaikki maan perustukset horjuvat.

6 I seide, Ye ben goddis; and alle ye ben the sones of hiy God.

Minä sanon: Te olette jumalia ja kaikki tyynni Korkeimman poikia;

7 But ye schulen die as men; and ye schulen falle doun as oon of the princis.

kuitenkin te kuolette, niinkuin ihmiset kuolevat, ja kaadutte niinkuin kuka ruhtinas tahansa."

8 Ryse, thou God, deme thou the erthe; for thou schalt haue eritage in alle folkis.

Nouse, Jumala, tuomitse maa, sillä sinä perit kaikki pakanakansat.
