Psalms 80
1 To victorie; this salm is witnessing of Asaph for lilies. Thou that gouernest Israel, yyue tent; that leedist forth Joseph as a scheep. Thou that sittist on cherubym; be schewid bifore Effraym,
Psaume d'Asaph, [donné] au maître chantre, [pour le chanter] sur Sosannim-héduth. Toi qui pais Israël, prête l'oreille, toi qui mènes Joseph comme un troupeau, toi qui es assis entre les Chérubins, fais reluire ta splendeur.
2 Beniamyn, and Manasses. Stire thi power, and come thou; that thou make vs saaf.
Réveille ta puissance au-devant d'Ephraïm, de Benjamin, et de Manassé; et viens pour notre délivrance.
3 God of vertues, turne thou vs; and schewe thi face, and we schulen be saaf.
Ô Dieu! ramène-nous, et fais reluire ta face; et nous serons délivrés.
4 Lord God of vertues; hou longe schalt thou be wrooth on the preier of thi seruaunt?
Ô Eternel, Dieu des armées, jusques à quand seras-tu irrité contre la requête de ton peuple?
5 Hou longe schalt thou feede vs with the breed of teeris; and schalt yyue drynke to vs with teeris in mesure?
Tu les as nourris de pain de larmes, et tu les as abreuvés de pleurs à grande mesure.
6 Thou hast set vs in to ayenseiyng to oure neiyboris; and oure enemyes han scornyde vs.
Tu nous as mis pour un sujet de dispute entre nos voisins, et nos ennemis se moquent de nous entre eux.
7 God of vertues, turne thou vs; and schewe thi face, and we schulen be saaf.
Ô Dieu des armées ramène-nous, et fais reluire ta face; et nous serons délivrés.
8 Thou translatidist a vyne fro Egipt; thou castidist out hethene men, and plauntidist it.
Tu avais transporté une vigne hors d'Egypte; tu avais chassé les nations, et tu l'avais plantée.
9 Thou were leeder of the weie in the siyt therof; and thou plauntidist the rootis therof, and it fillide the lond.
Tu avais préparé une place devant elle, tu lui avais fait prendre racine, et elle avait rempli la terre.
10 The schadewe therof hilide hillis; and the braunchis therof filliden the cedris of God.
Les montagnes étaient couvertes de son ombre, et ses rameaux étaient [comme] de hauts cèdres.
11 It streiyte forth hise siouns til to the see, and the generacioun ther of `til to the flood.
Elle avait étendu ses branches jusqu'à la mer, et ses rejetons jusqu'au fleuve.
12 Whi hast thou destried the wal therof; and alle men that goen forth bi the weie gaderiden awei the grapis therof?
Pourquoi as-tu rompu ses cloisons, de sorte que tous les passants en ont cueilli les raisins?
13 A boor of the wode distriede it; and a singuler wielde beeste deuouride it.
Les sangliers de la forêt l'ont détruite, et toutes sortes de bêtes sauvages l'ont broutée.
14 God of vertues, be thou turned; biholde thou fro heuene, and se, and visite this vyne.
Ô Dieu des armées retourne, je te prie; regarde des cieux, vois, et visite cette vigne;
15 And make thou it perfit, which thi riythond plauntide; and biholde thou on the sone of man, which thou hast confermyd to thee.
Et le plant que ta droite avait planté, et les provins que tu avais fait devenir forts pour toi.
16 Thingis brent with fier, and vndurmyned; schulen perische for the blamyng of thi cheer.
Elle est brûlée par feu, elle est retranchée; ils périssent dès que tu te montres pour les tancer.
17 Thin hond be maad on the man of thi riythond; and on the sone of man, whom thou hast confermed to thee.
Que ta main soit sur l'homme de ta droite, sur le fils de l'homme que tu t'es fortifié.
18 And we departiden not fro thee; thou schalt quykene vs, and we schulen inwardli clepe thi name.
Et nous ne nous retirerons point arrière de toi. Rends-nous la vie, et nous invoquerons ton Nom.
19 Lord God of vertues, turne thou vs; and schewe thi face, and we schulen be saaf.
Ô Eternel! Dieu des armées, ramène-nous, [et] fais reluire ta face; et nous serons délivrés.
