Psalms 8

1 To the ouercomere, for pressours, the salm of Dauid. Lord, thou art oure Lord; thi name is ful wonderful in al erthe. For thi greet doyng is reisid, aboue heuenes.

Alang sa pangulong musikero, nga gikuha sa gittith nga pamaagi. Ang salmo ni David. O Yahweh nga among Ginoo, pagkahalangdon sa imong ngalan sa tibuok kalibotan, ikaw nga nagpakita sa imong himaya sa kalangitan.

2 Of the mouth of yonge children, not spekynge and soukynge mylk, thou madist perfitli heriyng, for thin enemyes; that thou destrie the enemy and avengere.

Gikan sa baba sa gagmay nga mga bata ug sa mga masuso gihimo mo ang mga pagdayeg tungod sa imong mga kaaway, aron makapahilom sa kaaway ug sa tigpanimalos.

3 For Y schal se thin heuenes, the werkis of thi fyngris; the moone and sterris, whiche thou hast foundid.

Sa dihang mohangad ako sa imong kalangitan, nga binuhat sa imong mga tudlo, ang bulan ug ang mga kabituonan, nga imong gipahimutang.

4 What is a man, that thou art myndeful of hym; ethir the sone of a virgyn, for thou visitist hym?

Unsa ba ka mahinungdanon ang katawhan nga gihunahuna mo man (sila) o ang anak sa tawo nga gitagad mo man (sila)

5 Thou hast maad hym a litil lesse than aungels; thou hast corouned hym with glorie and onour,

Apan gibuhat mo (sila) nga ubos lamang sa mga langitnong binuhat ug gipurongpurongan (sila) sa himaya ug sa kadungganan.

6 and hast ordeyned hym aboue the werkis of thin hondis.

Gibuhat mo siya aron magdumala ibabaw sa tanang buhat sa imong mga kamot; gibutang mo ang tanang butang ilalom sa iyang tiilan:

7 Thou hast maad suget alle thingis vndur hise feet; alle scheep and oxis, ferthermore and the beestis of the feeld;

ang tanang karnero ug mga baka, ug bisan pa ang mga mananap sa kapatagan,

8 the briddis of the eir, and the fischis of the see; that passen bi the pathis of the see.

ang kalanggaman sa kawanangan, ug ang mga isda sa dagat, ang bisan unsa nga moagi sa sulog sa kadagatan.

9 Lord, `thou art oure Lord; thi name `is wondurful in al erthe.

O Yahweh nga among Ginoo, pagkahalangdon sa imong ngalan sa tibuok kalibotan!
