< Psalms 71 >
1 Lord, Y hopide in thee, be Y not schent with outen ende;
ʻE Sihova, ʻoku ou falala kiate koe ʻoua naʻa tuku au ke u mā ʻo taʻengata.
2 in thi riytwisnesse delyuere thou me, and rauysche me out. Bowe doun thin eere to me; and make me saaf.
Fakamoʻui au ʻi hoʻo māʻoniʻoni, pea tuku ke u hao: fakatokangaʻi ho fofonga kiate au, ʻo fakamoʻui au.
3 Be thou to me in to God a defendere; and in to a strengthid place, that thou make me saaf. For thou art my stidefastnesse; and my refuit.
Ke ke ʻiate au ko e nofoʻanga mālohi ʻaia te u hū maʻuaipē ki ai: kuo ke fekau ke fakamoʻui au; he ko koe ko hoku makatuʻu mo hoku hūfanga.
4 My God, delyuere thou me fro the hoond of the synner; and fro the hoond of a man doynge ayens the lawe, and of the wickid man.
ʻE hoku ʻOtua, ke ke fakamoʻui au mei he nima ʻoe kau angahala, mei he nima ʻoe kau tangata taʻemāʻoniʻoni mo angamālohi.
5 For thou, Lord, art my pacience; Lord, thou art myn hope fro my yongthe.
He ko koe, ʻE ʻEiki Sihova, ko ʻeku ʻamanaki lelei: ko koe ko hoku falalaʻanga talu ʻeku kei siʻi.
6 In thee Y am confermyd fro the wombe; thou art my defendere fro the wombe of my modir.
Kuo ke poupou au talu ʻeku [māvae ]mei he manāva: ko koe ia naʻe toʻo au mei he fatu ʻo ʻeku faʻē: te u fakafetaʻi maʻuaipē kiate koe.
7 My syngyng is euere in thee; Y am maad as a greet wonder to many men; and thou art a strong helpere.
ʻOku ou hangē ko e meʻa fakaofo ki he tokolahi: ka ko koe ko hoku hūfanga mālohi.
8 My mouth be fillid with heriyng; that Y synge thi glorie, al dai thi greetnesse.

9 Caste thou not awei me in the tyme of eldnesse; whanne my vertu failith, forsake thou not me.
Pea ʻoua naʻa siʻaki au ʻi he ʻaho ʻo ʻeku motuʻa; ʻoua naʻa liʻaki au ʻoka mole ʻiate au ʻeku mālohi.
10 For myn enemyes seiden of me; and thei that kepten my lijf maden counsel togidere.
He ʻoku lea kovi kiate au ʻa hoku ngaahi fili; pea ko kinautolu ʻoku lamasi hoku laumālie ʻoku nau fakakaukau fakataha,
11 Seiynge, God hath forsake hym; pursue ye, and take hym; for noon is that schal delyuere.
ʻO nau pehē, “Kuo liʻaki ia ʻe he ʻOtua: fakatanga ʻo puke ia; he ʻoku ʻikai ha tokotaha ke fakamoʻui ia.”
12 God, be thou not maad afer fro me; my God, biholde thou in to myn help.
ʻE ʻOtua, ʻoua naʻa ke mamaʻo ʻiate au: ʻE hoku ʻOtua, ke ke fai vave ke tokoni au.
13 Men that bacbiten my soule, be schent, and faile thei; and be thei hilid with schenschip and schame, that seken yuels to me.
Tuku ke puputuʻu mo ʻauha ʻakinautolu ʻoku nofo ko e fili ki hoku laumālie; ke ʻufiʻufi ʻaki ʻae mā mo e manuki ʻakinautolu ʻoku kumi ke u kovi.
14 But Y schal hope euere; and Y schal adde euere ouer al thi preising.
Ka te u ʻamanaki lelei maʻuaipē, pea ʻe tupulekina pe ʻeku fakamālō kiate koe.
15 Mi mouth schal telle thi riytfulnesse; al dai thin helthe. For Y knewe not lettrure, Y schal entre in to the poweres of the Lord;
ʻE fakahā atu ʻe hoku ngutu ʻa hoʻo māʻoniʻoni mo hoʻo fakamoʻui ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē; he ʻoku ʻikai te u ʻilo ki hono lau ʻo ia.
16 Lord, Y schal bithenke on thi riytfulnesse aloone.

18 And til in to `the eldnesse and the laste age; God, forsake thou not me. Til Y telle thin arm; to eche generacioun, that schal come. Til Y telle thi myyt,
Pea ko eni foki, ʻE ʻOtua, ʻi heʻeku motuʻa mo ʻuluhinā, ʻoua naʻa ke liʻaki au; kaeʻoua ke u fakahā ho mālohi ki he toʻutangata ni, mo hoʻo māfimafi kiate kinautolu kotoa pē ʻe haʻu.
19 and thi riytfulnesse, God, til in to the hiyeste grete dedis which thou hast do; God, who is lijk thee?
Ko hoʻo māʻoniʻoni foki, ʻE ʻOtua, ʻoku māʻolunga ʻaupito, ʻa koe naʻa ke fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa lahi: ʻE ʻOtua, ko hai ʻoku hangē ko koe!
20 Hou grete tribulaciouns many and yuele hast thou schewid to me; and thou conuertid hast quykenyd me, and hast eft brouyt me ayen fro the depthis of erthe.
ʻA koe, kuo ke fakahā kiate au ʻae ngaahi mamahi ʻoku lahi mo kovi, te ke toe fakaake au, ʻo toe ʻohake au mei he loto kelekele.
21 Thou hast multiplied thi greet doyng; and thou conuertid hast coumfortid me.
Te ke fakatupulekina hoku nāunauʻia, ʻo fakafiemālieʻi au ʻi he potu kotoa pē.
22 For whi and Y schal knowleche to thee, thou God, thi treuthe in the instrumentis of salm; Y schal synge in an harpe to thee, that art the hooli of Israel.
23 Mi lippis schulen make fulli ioye, whanne Y schal synge to thee; and my soule, which thou ayen bouytist.
ʻE fiefia lahi hoku loungutu ʻo kau ka hiva kiate koe; mo hoku laumālie ʻaia kuo ke huhuʻi.
24 But and my tunge schal thenke al dai on thi riytfulnesse; whanne thei schulen be schent and aschamed, that seken yuelis to me.
ʻE talanoa ʻa hoku ʻelelo foki ki hoʻo māʻoniʻoni ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē: he kuo puputuʻu, kuo hoko ʻo mā, ʻakinautolu ʻoku kumi ke u kovi.
