< Psalms 65 >
1 `To victorie, `the salm of the song of Dauid. God, heriyng bicometh thee in Syon; and a vow schal be yolden to thee in Jerusalem.
In finem, Psalmus David, Canticum Hieremiæ, et Ezechielis populo transmigrationis, cum inciperent exire. Te decet hymnus Deus in Sion: et tibi reddetur votum in Ierusalem.
2 Here thou my preier; ech man schal come to thee.
Exaudi orationem meam: ad te omnis caro veniet.
3 The wordis of wickid men hadden the maistrye ouer vs; and thou schalt do merci to oure wickidnessis.
Verba iniquorum prævaluerunt super nos: et impietatibus nostris tu propitiaberis.
4 Blessid is he, whom thou hast chose, and hast take; he schal dwelle in thin hallis. We schulen be fillid with the goodis of thin hous;
Beatus, quem elegisti, et assumpsisti: inhabitabit in atriis tuis. Replebimur in bonis domus tuæ: sanctum est templum tuum,
5 thi temple is hooli, wondurful in equite. God, oure heelthe, here thou vs; thou art hope of alle coostis of erthe, and in the see afer.
mirabile in æquitate. Exaudi nos Deus salutaris noster, spes omnium finium terræ, et in mari longe.
6 And thou makest redi hillis in thi vertu, and art gird with power;
Præparans montes in virtute tua, accinctus potentia:
7 which disturblist the depthe of the see, the soun of the wawis therof.
qui conturbas profundum maris sonum fluctuum eius. Turbabuntur gentes,
8 Folkis schulen be disturblid, and thei that dwellen in the endis schulen drede of thi signes; thou schalt delite the outgoingis of the morewtid and euentid.
et timebunt qui habitant terminos a signis tuis: exitus matutini et vespere delectabis.
9 Thou hast visitid the lond, and hast greetli fillid it; thou hast multiplied to make it riche. The flood of God was fillid with watris; thou madist redi the mete of hem, for the makyng redi therof is so.
Visitasti terram et inebriasti eam: multiplicasti locupletare eam. Flumen Dei repletum est aquis, parasti cibum illorum: quoniam ita est præparatio eius.
10 Thou fillynge greetli the stremes therof, multiplie the fruytis therof; the lond bringinge forth fruytis schal be glad in goteris of it.
Rivos eius inebria, multiplica genimina eius: in stillicidiis eius lætabitur germinans.
11 Thou schalt blesse the coroun of the yeer of thi good wille; and thi feeldis schulen be fillid with plentee of fruytis.
Benedices coronæ anni benignitatis tuæ: et campi tui replebuntur ubertate.
12 The feire thingis of desert schulen wexe fatte; and litle hillis schulen be cumpassid with ful out ioiyng.
Pinguescent speciosa deserti: et exultatione colles accingentur.
13 The wetheris of scheep ben clothid, and valeis schulen be plenteuouse of wheete; thei schulen crye, and sotheli thei schulen seye salm.
Induti sunt arietes ovium, et valles abundabunt frumento: clamabunt, etenim hymnum dicent.
