Psalms 63

1 `The salm of Dauid, `whanne he was in the desert of Judee. God, my God, Y wake to thee ful eerli. Mi soule thirstide to thee; my fleisch thirstide to thee ful many foold.

Psalm Dawida, gdy przebywał na Pustyni Judzkiej. Boże, ty jesteś moim Bogiem, od rana cię szukam; pragnie ciebie moja dusza, tęskni do ciebie moje ciało w ziemi suchej i spragnionej, [w której] nie ma wody;

2 In a lond forsakun with out wei, and with out water, so Y apperide to thee in hooli; that Y schulde se thi vertu, and thi glorie.

Abym widział twoją moc i chwałę tak, jak cię ujrzałem w twojej świątyni;

3 For thi merci is betere than lyues; my lippis schulen herie thee.

Skoro lepsze jest twoje miłosierdzie niż życie, moje wargi będą cię chwaliły;

4 So Y schal blesse thee in my lijf; and in thi name Y schal reise myn hondis.

Tak błogosławić cię będę póki żyję, wzniosę swe ręce w imię twoje.

5 Mi soule be fillid as with inner fatnesse and vttermere fatnesse; and my mouth schal herie with lippis of ful out ioiyng.

Jak tłuszczem i sadłem będzie nasycona moja dusza, moje usta będą cię wielbić radosnymi wargami;

6 So Y hadde mynde on thee on my bed, in morewtidis Y shal thenke of thee;

Gdy cię wspominam na moim posłaniu i rozmyślam o tobie podczas nocnych straży.

7 for thou were myn helpere. And in the keueryng of thi wyngis Y schal make `ful out ioye, my soule cleuede after thee;

Ponieważ byłeś mi pomocą, w cieniu twoich skrzydeł będę się weselił.

8 thi riythond took me vp.

Moja dusza przylgnęła do ciebie, twoja prawica mnie podtrzymuje.

9 Forsothe thei souyten in veyn my lijf, thei schulen entre in to the lower thingis of erthe;

Ale ci, którzy dążą do zguby mojej duszy, sami zejdą do głębi ziemi.

10 thei schulen be bitakun in to the hondis of swerd, thei schulen be maad the partis of foxis.

Będą wydani pod ostrze miecza, staną się łupem lisów.

11 But the king schal be glad in God; and alle men schulen be preysid that sweren in hym, for the mouth of hem, that speken wickid thingis, is stoppid.

Lecz król będzie się weselił w Bogu, będzie się chlubił każdy, kto na niego przysięga, a usta kłamców zostaną zamknięte.
