Psalms 59
1 `In Jeroms translacioun thus, To the ouercomer, that thou lese not Dauid, meke and simple, `whanne Saul sente and kepte the hous, to slee hym. `In Ebreu thus, To the ouercomyng, leese thou not the semeli song of Dauid, and so forth. Mi God, delyuer thou me fro myn enemyes; and delyuer thou me fro hem that risen ayens me.
Przedniejszemu śpiewakowi, jako: Nie zatracaj, złota pieśń Dawidowa, gdy posłał Saul, aby strzeżono domu jego, a zabito go. Wyrwij mię od nieprzyjaciół moich, o Boże mój! a od powstawających przeciwko mnie uczyń mię bezpiecznym.
2 Delyuer thou me fro hem that worchen wickidnesse; and saue thou me fro menquelleris.
Wyrwij mię od tych, którzy broją nieprawość, a od mężów krwawych wybaw mię.
3 For lo! thei han take my soule; stronge men fellen in on me.
Albowiem oto czyhają na duszę moję; zbierają się przeciwko mnie mocarze bez przestępstwa mego i bez grzechu mego, o Panie!
4 Nethir my wickidnesse, nether my synne; Lord, Y ran with out wickidnesse, and dresside `my werkis.
Bez wszelkiej nieprawości mojej zbiegają się, i gotują się; powstańże, zabież mi, a obacz.
5 Rise vp thou in to my meetyng, and se; and thou, Lord God of vertues, art God of Israel. Yyue thou tent to visite alle folkis; do thou not merci to alle that worchen wickidnesse.
Ty sam, Panie, Boże zastępów, Boże Izraelski! ocuć się, abyś nawiedził te wszystkie narody; a nie miej litości nad żadnym z onych przestępców złośliwych. (Sela)
6 Thei schulen be turned at euentid, and thei as doggis schulen suffre hungir; and thei schulen cumpas the citee.
Nawracają się pod wieczór, a warczą jako psy, i biegają około miasta.
7 Lo! thei schulen speke in her mouth, and a swerd in her lippis; for who herde?
Oto blegocą usty swemi, miecze są w wargach ich; albowiem mówią: Któż słyszy?
8 And thou, Lord, schalt scorne hem; thou schalt bringe alle folkis to nouyt.
Ale ty, Panie! naśmiewasz się z nich; naśmiewasz się ze wszystkich narodów.
9 I schal kepe my strengthe to thee;
Gdy on moc przewodzi, na ciebie pozór mieć będę; boś ty, Boże! twierdzą moją.
10 for God is myn vptaker, my God, his mercy schal come byfore me.
Bóg mój miłosierny uprzedzi mię; Bóg mi da oglądać pomstę nad nieprzyjaciółmi mymi.
11 God schewide to me on myn enemyes, slee thou not hem; lest ony tyme my puples foryete. Scatere thou hem in thi vertu; and, Lord, my defender, putte thou hem doun.
Nie zabijajże ich, aby nie zapomniał lud mój; ale ich rozprosz mocą twoją, i zrzuć ich, tarczo nasza, o Panie!
12 Putte thou doun the trespas of her mouth, and the word of her lippis; and be thei takun in her pride. And of cursyng and of leesyng; thei schulen be schewid in the endyng.
Grzech ust swych, słowa warg swych (pojmani będąc w hardości swej dla złorzeczeństwa i kłamstwa) niech wyznawają.
13 In the ire of ending, and thei schulen not be; and thei schulen wite, that the Lord schal be Lord of Jacob, and of the endis of erthe.
Wytraćże ich w popędliwości, wytrać ich, aż ich nie stanie. Niech poznają, że Bóg panuje w Jakóbie, i po krajach ziemi. (Sela)
14 Thei schulen be turned at euentid, and thei as doggis schulen suffre hungur; and thei schulen cumpas the citee.
I niech się zaś nawrócą pod wieczór; niech warczą jako psy, a biegają około miasta.
15 Thei schulen be scaterid abrood, for to eete; sotheli if thei ben not fillid, and thei schulen grutche.
Niech oni ciekają, chcąc się najeść, wszakże głodni będąc ukłaść się muszą.
16 But Y schal synge thi strengthe; and eerli Y schal enhaunse thi merci. For thou art maad myn vptaker; and my refuyt, in the dai of my tribulacioun.
Ale ja będę śpiewał o mocy twojej; zaraz z poranku wysławiać będę miłosierdzie twoje; boś ty był twierdzą moją, i ucieczką w dzień ucisku mego.
17 Myn helper, Y schal synge to thee; for thou art God, myn vptaker, my God, my mercy.
O mocy moja! tobie będę śpiewał; boś ty, Boże! twierdza moja, Bóg mój miłosierny.
