Psalms 59
1 `In Jeroms translacioun thus, To the ouercomer, that thou lese not Dauid, meke and simple, `whanne Saul sente and kepte the hous, to slee hym. `In Ebreu thus, To the ouercomyng, leese thou not the semeli song of Dauid, and so forth. Mi God, delyuer thou me fro myn enemyes; and delyuer thou me fro hem that risen ayens me.
संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. “अलतशख़ेथ” धुन पर आधारित. दावीद की मिकताम गीत रचना. यह उस घटना के संदर्भ में है, जब शाऊल ने दावीद का वध करने के उद्देश्य से सैनिक भेज उनके आवास पर घेरा डलवाया था. परमेश्वर, मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं से छुड़ा लीजिए; मुझे उनसे सुरक्षा प्रदान कीजिए, जो मेरे विरुद्ध उठ खड़े हुए हैं.
2 Delyuer thou me fro hem that worchen wickidnesse; and saue thou me fro menquelleris.
मुझे कुकर्मियों से छुड़ा लीजिए तथा हत्यारे पुरुषों से मुझे सुरक्षा प्रदान कीजिए.
3 For lo! thei han take my soule; stronge men fellen in on me.
देखिए, वे कैसे मेरे लिए घात लगाए बैठे हैं! जो मेरे लिए बुरी युक्ति रच रहे हैं वे हिंसक पुरुष हैं. याहवेह, न मैंने कोई अपराध किया है और न कोई पाप.
4 Nethir my wickidnesse, nether my synne; Lord, Y ran with out wickidnesse, and dresside `my werkis.
मुझसे कोई भूल भी नहीं हुई, फिर भी वे आक्रमण के लिए तत्पर हैं. मेरी दुर्गति पर दृष्टि कर, मेरी सहायता के लिए आ जाइए!
5 Rise vp thou in to my meetyng, and se; and thou, Lord God of vertues, art God of Israel. Yyue thou tent to visite alle folkis; do thou not merci to alle that worchen wickidnesse.
याहवेह, सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर, इन समस्त राष्ट्रों को दंड देने के लिए उठ जाइए; दुष्ट विश्वासघातियों पर कोई कृपा न कीजिए.
6 Thei schulen be turned at euentid, and thei as doggis schulen suffre hungir; and thei schulen cumpas the citee.
वे संध्या को लौटते, कुत्तों के समान चिल्लाते, और नगर में घूमते रहते हैं.
7 Lo! thei schulen speke in her mouth, and a swerd in her lippis; for who herde?
आप देखिए कि वे अपने मुंह से क्या-क्या उगल रहे हैं, उनके होंठों में से तलवार बाहर आती है, तब वे कहते हैं, “कौन सुन सकता है हमें?”
8 And thou, Lord, schalt scorne hem; thou schalt bringe alle folkis to nouyt.
किंतु, याहवेह, आप उन पर हंसते हैं; ये सारे राष्ट्र आपके उपहास के विषय हैं.
9 I schal kepe my strengthe to thee;
मेरी शक्ति, मुझे आपकी ही प्रतीक्षा है; मेरे परमेश्वर, आप मेरे आश्रय-स्थल हैं,
10 for God is myn vptaker, my God, his mercy schal come byfore me.
आप मेरे प्रेममय परमेश्वर हैं. परमेश्वर मेरे आगे-आगे जाएंगे, तब मैं अपने निंदकों के ऊपर संतोष के साथ व्यंग्य पूर्ण दृष्टि डाल सकूंगा.
11 God schewide to me on myn enemyes, slee thou not hem; lest ony tyme my puples foryete. Scatere thou hem in thi vertu; and, Lord, my defender, putte thou hem doun.
किंतु मेरे प्रभु, मेरी ढाल, उनकी हत्या न कीजिए, अन्यथा मेरी प्रजा उन्हें भूल जाएगी. अपने सामर्थ्य में उन्हें तितर-बितर भटकाने के लिए छोड़ दीजिए, कि उनमें मनोबल ही शेष न रह जाए.
12 Putte thou doun the trespas of her mouth, and the word of her lippis; and be thei takun in her pride. And of cursyng and of leesyng; thei schulen be schewid in the endyng.
उनके मुख के वचन द्वारा किए गए पापों के कारण, उनके होंठों द्वारा किए गए अनाचार के लिए तथा उनके द्वारा दिए गए शाप तथा झूठाचार के कारण, उन्हें अपने ही अहंकार में फंस जाने दीजिए.
13 In the ire of ending, and thei schulen not be; and thei schulen wite, that the Lord schal be Lord of Jacob, and of the endis of erthe.
उन्हें अपनी क्रोध अग्नि में भस्म कर दीजिए, उन्हें इस प्रकार भस्म कीजिए, कि उनका कुछ भी शेष न रह जाए. तब यह पृथ्वी की छोर तक सर्वविदित बातें हो जाएगी, कि परमेश्वर ही वस्तुतः याकोब के शासक हैं.
14 Thei schulen be turned at euentid, and thei as doggis schulen suffre hungur; and thei schulen cumpas the citee.
वे संध्या को लौटते, कुत्तों के समान चिल्लाते और नगर में घूमते रहते हैं.
15 Thei schulen be scaterid abrood, for to eete; sotheli if thei ben not fillid, and thei schulen grutche.
वे भोजन की खोज में घूमते रहते हैं और संतोष न होने पर सियारों जैसे चिल्लाने लगते हैं.
16 But Y schal synge thi strengthe; and eerli Y schal enhaunse thi merci. For thou art maad myn vptaker; and my refuyt, in the dai of my tribulacioun.
किंतु मैं आपकी सामर्थ्य का गुणगान करूंगा, प्रातःकाल मेरे गीत का विषय होगा आपका करुणा-प्रेम क्योंकि मेरा दृढ़ आश्रय-स्थल आप हैं, संकट काल में शरण स्थल हैं.
17 Myn helper, Y schal synge to thee; for thou art God, myn vptaker, my God, my mercy.
मेरा बल, मैं आपका गुणगान करता हूं; परमेश्वर, आप मेरे आश्रय-स्थल हैं, आप ही करुणा-प्रेममय मेरे परमेश्वर हैं.
