Psalms 57
1 `In Ebreu thus, To the victorie, lese thou not the semeli song, `ether the `swete song of Dauid, `whanne he fledde fro the face of Saul in to the denne. `In Jeroms translacioun thus, For victorie, that thou lese not Dauid, meke and simple, whanne he fledde fro the face of Saul in to the denne. God, haue thou merci on me, haue thou merci on me; for my soule tristith in thee. And Y schal hope in the schadewe of thi wyngis; til wickidnesse passe.
Untuk pemimpin kor. Menurut lagu: Jangan memusnahkan. Mazmur dari Daud, ketika ia lari ke dalam gua untuk menghindari Saul. Kasihanilah aku, ya Allah, kasihanilah aku, sebab pada-Mulah aku berlindung. Dalam naungan sayap-Mu aku bersembunyi, sampai badai yang mengamuk berhenti.
2 I schal crye to God altherhiyeste; to God that dide wel to me.
Aku berseru kepada Allah Yang Mahatinggi, kepada Allah yang bertindak untukku.
3 He sente fro heuene, and delyuerede me; he yaf in to schenschip hem that defoulen me. God sente his merci and his treuthe,
Dari surga Ia menjawab dan menyelamatkan aku; Ia mengalahkan orang-orang yang menindas aku. Allah akan menunjukkan bahwa Ia setia kepadaku, dan selalu mengasihi aku.
4 and delyuerede my soule fro the myddis of whelpis of liouns; Y slepte disturblid. The sones of men, the teeth of hem ben armuris and arowis; and her tunge is a scharp swerd.
Aku dikepung oleh musuh, mereka seperti singa pemakan manusia. Gigi mereka seperti tombak dan panah, lidah mereka seperti pedang yang tajam.
5 God, be thou enhaunsid aboue heuenes; and thi glorie aboue al erthe.
Ya Allah, tunjukkanlah keagungan-Mu di langit, dan kemuliaan-Mu di seluruh bumi.
6 Thei maden redi a snare to my feet; and thei greetly boweden my lijf. Thei delueden a diche bifore my face; and thei felden doun in to it.
Musuhku memasang jerat bagiku, dan mematahkan semangatku. Mereka menggali lubang di jalanku, tetapi mereka sendiri jatuh ke dalamnya.
7 God, myn herte is redi, myn herte is redi; Y schal singe, and Y schal seie salm.
Aku percaya teguh, ya Allah, aku percaya teguh, aku mau menyanyi dan memuji-Mu.
8 Mi glorie, rise thou vp; sautrie and harpe, rise thou vp; Y schal rise vp eerli.
Hai bangunlah, jiwaku! Hai bangunlah, gambus dan kecapi! Aku mau membangunkan fajar.
9 Lord, Y schal knouleche to thee among puplis; and Y schal seie salm among hethene men.
TUHAN, aku mau bersyukur kepada-Mu di antara bangsa-bangsa. Kuingin menyanyikan pujian bagi-Mu di antara umat manusia.
10 For thi merci is magnified til to heuenes; and thi treuthe til to cloudis.
Sebab kasih-Mu besar sampai ke langit, dan kesetiaan-Mu sampai ke awan-awan.
11 God, be thou enhaunsid aboue heuenes; and thi glorie ouer al erthe.
Ya Allah, tunjukkanlah keagungan-Mu di langit, dan kemuliaan-Mu di seluruh bumi.
