Psalms 55
1 `In Ebreu thus, To victorie in orguns, the lernyng of Dauid. `In Jeroms translacioun thus, To the ouercomer in salmes of Dauid lernid. God, here thou my preier, and dispise thou not my biseching;
Instrução de Davi, para o regente, com instrumento de cordas: Deus, inclina os teus ouvidos à minha oração; e não te escondas de minha súplica.
2 yyue thou tent to me, and here thou me. I am sorewful in myn exercising; and Y am disturblid of the face of the enemye,
Presta atenção em mim, e responde-me; clamo por meu sofrimento, e grito,
3 and of the tribulacioun of the synner. For thei bowiden wickidnessis in to me; and in ire thei weren diseseful to me.
Por causa da voz do inimigo, [e] pela opressão do perverso; porque me preparam [suas] maldades, e com furor eles me odeiam.
4 Myn herte was disturblid in me; and the drede of deth felde on me.
Meu coração sofre dores em meu interior, e terrores de morte caíram sobre mim.
5 Drede and trembling camen on me; and derknessis hiliden me.
Temor e tremor vêm sobre mim, e o horror me toma por completo.
6 And Y seide, Who schal yyue to me fetheris, as of a culuer; and Y schal fle, and schal take rest?
Então eu digo: Ah, quem me dera se eu tivesse asas como uma pomba! Eu voaria, e pousaria.
7 Lo! Y yede fer awei, and fledde; and Y dwellide in wildirnesse.
Eis que eu fugiria para longe, e ficaria no deserto. (Selá)
8 I abood hym, that made me saaf fro the litilnesse, `ether drede, of spirit; and fro tempest.
Eu me apressaria para escapar do vento violento [e] da tempestade.
9 Lord, caste thou doun, departe thou the tungis of hem; for Y siy wickidnesse and ayenseiyng in the citee.
Devora-os, Senhor, divide a língua deles; porque tenho visto violência e briga na cidade.
10 Bi dai and nyyt wickidnesse schal cumpasse it on the wallis therof;
Dia e noite cercam sobre seus muros; perversidade e opressão há dentro dela.
11 and trauel and vnriytfulnesse ben in the myddis therof. And vsure and gile failide not; fro the stretis therof.
Coisas destrutivas [estão] dentro dela; e a falsidade e o engano não sai de suas praças.
12 For if myn enemye hadde cursid me; sotheli Y hadde suffride. And if he, that hatide me, hadde spoke greet thingis on me; in hap Y hadde hid me fro hym.
Porque não [é] um inimigo o que me insulta, pois [se fosse] eu o suportaria; nem é alguém que me odeia o que se engrandece contra mim, pois [se fosse] eu me esconderia dele.
13 But thou art a man of o wille; my leeder, and my knowun.
Mas és tu, homem semelhante a mim; meu guia, e meu conhecido;
14 Which tokist togidere swete meetis with me; we yeden with consent in the hous of God.
Que juntos agradavelmente dávamos conselhos [um ao outro]; na casa de Deus andávamos entre a multidão.
15 Deth come on hem; and go thei doun quyk in to helle. For weiwardnessis ben in the dwelling places of hem; in the myddis of hem. (Sheol h7585)
Que a morte os tome de surpresa, e desçam ao Xeol vivos; porque há maldades em suas moradas, e no meio deles. (Sheol h7585)
16 But Y criede to thee, Lord; and the Lord sauede me.
Clamarei a Deus, e o SENHOR me salvará.
17 In the euentid and morewtid and in myddai Y schal telle, and schewe; and he schal here my vois.
À tarde, e pela manhã, e ao meio dia, orarei e clamarei; e ele ouvirá a minha voz.
18 He schal ayenbie my soule in pees fro hem, that neiyen to me; for among manye thei weren with me.
Ele resgatou em paz a minha alma da batalha [que havia] contra mim; porque muitos vieram para me [prejudicar].
19 God schal here; and he that is bifore the worldis schal make hem low. For chaungyng is not to hem, and thei dredden not God;
Deus ouvirá, e os humilhará, ele que governa desde os princípios dos tempos. (Selá)Porque eles não mudam [de comportamento], nem temem a Deus.
20 he holdith forth his hoond in yelding. Thei defouliden his testament,
[Meu antigo amigo] se voltou contra os que tinham paz com ele, e violou seu pacto.
21 the cheris therof weren departid fro ire; and his herte neiyede. The wordis therof weren softer than oyle; and tho ben dartis.
Sua boca é agradável como a manteiga, mas seu coração [deseja] a guerra; suas palavras [parecem] mais suaves que o azeite, mas são espadas prontas para o ataque.
22 Caste thi cure on the Lord, and he schal fulli nurische thee; and he schal not yyue with outen ende flotering to a iust man.
Entrega [tuas preocupações] ao SENHOR, e ele te sustentará; ele não permitirá que o justo fique caído para sempre.
23 But thou, God, schalt lede hem forth; in to the pit of deth. Menquelleris and gilours schulen not haue half her daies; but, Lord, Y schal hope in thee.
Porém tu, SENHOR, farás com que eles desçam ao poço da perdição; os homens sanguinários e enganadores não viverão a metade de seus dias; e eu confiarei em ti.
